The trial size of pureology perfect 4 platinum. Repurchased on sale at Ulta. And, i’m NOT platinum; it’s just good and damps down the warmer tones a tad. Prob finished Hello, Blondie at the same time. Pureology is pricey, but super.

Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo. It was the first time I tried a purple shampoo for my natural grey highlights. I think it brightened them a bit.

Now I’m trying Klorane Shampoo with Centaury, which I’ve heard is better (as it should be for the price). I’ve just started using it, so I’ll see how it does. So far, I like that it’s not purple and that it made my hair soft, but I don’t like the strong smell.

I’m *this close* to finishing nirvana bourbon dry shampoo, but keep stretching it out until the sale starts tomorrow! It’s my favorite all-time dry shampoo and I’m usually not one to spend much on haircare.

Also finished many samples on a recent trip (feels like an accomplishment as the pile of them is getting out of hand) and a bare minerals gel foundation/moisturizer.

Phyto Volume Actif Spray. I have super fine hair, and this volumizer works well and without the damaging/drying effects of all others I’ve sampled (I keep an eye out for less costly alternatives)

Nioxin 2 scalp treatment. I purchased the 3 piece gift set which included the shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment. I really thought it was working well and then it just stopped working and my hair was getting too oily so picked up another brand to try for awhile and then I will go back to the Nioxin or find another treatment for thinning hair. My hair seems to like a product for awhile and then it just stops working and I have to use something else for awhile. I can go back to the product eventually. Not sure why it does that but does anyone else experience this with their hair care products? Anyway, I am in the market for another product to use on thinning hair. All of the women in my family have very thinning hair and my hair was not helped by the chemotherapy. It just didn’t all grow back in, either on my head, my eye brows or my lashes. I have holes here and there. I am thankful I have some hair back though. I may talk to my Dr. about Minoxidil but was putting it off as I wasn’t sure about all the chemicals in my system. That is why I stopped coloring my hair after my cancer. I just didn’t want to put that amount of chemicals into my system.
I have been seeing YT videos on using castor oil but not sure how these people put castor oil on their heads and then sleep without it migrating everywhere. I mean even wearing a shower cap some of it is going to get on your pillows, blankets, etc. They say it works though.

Along with our Dr. Gross commonality..I experienced exactly the same issue with Nioxin shampoo while I was on methotrexate and biologics for my autoimmune. It stopped worked and I moved to the Aveda line called Invati. My hair eventually came back after but not as thick and I do have a few sparse areas… fine hair but lots of it, fortunately. I also use a hair serum by Stemm which is avail through the Deciem/the Ordinary peeps based in Toronto. I purchased off their website and have no idea availability in US or worldwide or even if still avail. Hope this helps, Deborah ?

My last hair care product is Ambiance dry shampoo brush black. This stuff is pretty great! I recently colored my hair dark again and I wanted a dry shampoo that didn’t leave the white powder.

This stuff can be a little messy, so be careful when you first open it and when you store it. The brush applicator is very convenient. I recommend putting it in before you get dressed, or covering yourself with a towel before applying, in case it spills.

The dark one is very dark, and while it can get on your skin, it is easy to rinse/wash off. I haven’t had any issues with it coloring my clothing.
