Do you ever just play around with makeup?
That would be a duh, yes. I definitely apply makeup with no place to go and sometimes apply makeup just to wear out for a couple of hours!

The other day, I wanted to do a quick look before I went out to the store…it ended up being a super bright look with Morphe 35B (the bright palette) using NYX Milk as a base. And yesterday, I wore NYX Haze (grey lipstick) to the pharmacy…I just forgot I had it on! :3
oh absolutely! That’s when I have the freedom to try out new techniques or styles and crazy colors! And that’s the best time to play with liquid eyeliner- no pressure to get done in a hurry or be perfect 🙂
Constantly, it’s what I do most of the time! I come home and after my kid is in bed, I go in the bathroom and I break out all my palettes and just mess around in the time I have before I have to shower and go to bed. It’s very relaxing. Sometimes my husband pops in and sees me looking like a crazy panda half listening to a podcast and swatching a colour on my full lid just to see how it looks at full pigmentation.
Definitely, but always at home and in private. ! I’ll experiment with different looks. Try out the shades I never use from my palettes. Practice eyeliner. Try techniques I saw on youtube.
Definitely. If I have a special occasion coming up, I’ll decide what shades I’ll be wearing and I’ll do a trial run to see how it looks. And, like you, I’ll play around with my stash when I have time at home. I’ll try new techniques, etc. It’s fun. 🙂
Yes, especially lipsticks when I want to test wear time and comfort.
Other than swatching products when they arrive and preparing them for posting on my social media, I never play with makeup. As I said before, I only wear makeup on weekend and holidays and the rare times when I have an appointment during the week, I do try to change up the looks I create on the weekends; I do one day cool and the other warm. But that’s about it.
Actually, yes!! Sometimes before I remove all of my makeup I like to play with eyeshadows, I create some fun looks to see how they would look on me and sometimes I end up recreating them on a special day, that way I know how it looks and it won’t be my first time doing it ?
Same! I always take a baby wipe and take off one eye then go in with whatever I’ve been thinking might be fun during the day. Sometimes I just take something really out of character for me and do something dramatic with it just to see how I like it, get used to seeing my face like that.
The other thing I do is take products I don’t really use much and see if I can’t use them elsewhere. Unflattering liquid lip colours as eyeliner + a duochrome powder on top to give them more dimension for example.
Yes, it’s a great stress reliever for me.
Sometimes I just swatch random products from my collection, other times if I have some more time to spare I’ll try out a look.
I have begun to lately. It’s hard for me though because I’m just not very good at what colors will go with what, so most of the time it looks muddy and then I get discouraged. It’s easier to play when everything else looks good and I’m just trying to coordinate a lipstick.
Almost every day! I find it relaxing, so I put makeup on to wear around the house, to grocery shop, etc. It’s also a great way to pass the time when I have insomnia. 🙂
That’s part of the fun for me. I play a lot! I especially love to play with colors. I would love to get a bit more into “recreation” looks.
yes lol. I have some combinations I know look good together and will use them for extra special occasions, but the vast majority of the time it’s “hmm I wonder what it would look like if I paired these 3 random shadows with that green lipstick” 🙂

Yes! I just did yesterday and I might again today.
I’m glad I was just playing yesterday, because I layered two lip products and the lip topper I used caused the base color to break up weirdly. I’ll need to test the topper with some other formulas to see if it does that to everything.
Sweatpants and full face of makeup is my favorite look!
Oh heck yeah! I’ve got to use up at least some of this stuff before I croak! LOL!
But seriously, for me personally, this is also a way to express my creative side. Therefore, it is highly therapeutic, as well. If I miss 2 days in a row, I can really feel my mood lower considerably.

Oh goodness, YES!!! I love playing/experimenting and trying looks I probably wouldn’t wear at work. I’ll often do this in the evening, before bed-time. If we’re going out for coffee or a bite to eat, so much the better but even if not, knowing I can wash it all off before bed makes it even better because if something doesn’t work, no one is going to see it because I’m pressed for time and don’t have time to wash off and start again, which is what would happen if I experimented while getting ready for work.
