Dior Precious Rocks Golden Glow Loose Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
Precious Rocks (001)
Dior Precious Rocks (001) Golden Glow Loose Powder ($59.00 for 0.51 oz.) is a pale, buttery yellow powder with flecks of gold sparkle. The powder is supposed to be “the finishing touch” and have a “subtle, golden shimmer” and a “delicate glow.” The brand says that it can be applied to “the cheekbones, the chin, and the nose” or even “to your decollete and shoulders.”
The powder was very finely-milled and smooth, and it did add a slight warmth to my overall skin tone (made me appear slightly warmer, slightly yellower) but was fairly translucent. It seemed to contain finer sparkle and then larger sparkles, which I could see just sitting on the skin. It had a very subtle highlighting effect wherever I put it, but the visible sparkles kept it from being a truly subtle highlighter in my eyes. Some may love the sparkly effects while others loathe the idea of visible glitter sitting on the skin. The highlighter seemed to last around eight hours but had migrating sparkle throughout the day.
I’m incredibly surprised that the Dior holiday collection has sold through so quickly online, so if there are any pieces you’ve had an eye on, in-stores/at counters might be your best bet.

Oh this is STUNNING
Nope. I may love glittery eyeshadow and lip products now and again, but a glittery face powder just isn’t my thing! Unless, of course, it’s a true highlighter like ABH Nicole Guerriero. This one has too dull of a base for the chunky glitter.
This reminds me a bit of my beloved Scott Barnes Diamond Dust, though that was decidedly more bronze toned. It’s nice for the holiday season!
