While I love the shadows, the rest is a waste of money. Slim down the palette, get rid of the cords, mirrors, and speakers and reduce the price.

I think most of these shades have already appeared in other palettes(Sin, Midnight Cowgirl, cobra, gunmetal, skimp) or are easily duped from their other palettes. I’m sorry, UD… I have to pass…. I haven’ been thrilled by the last two BoS palettes because there were so many repeat colors!

That said, I would happily buy a palette of the SEphora exclusive colors(Woodstock, Free Love, Psychedelic Sister, Haight, etc.) and just skip this nonsense.

I have to admit—it has been a long time since an UD palette really wowed me. Even the Naked palette was sort of “meh” because I wanted a few more shades with no frost—particularly a highlight color.

I totally agree 100%. A BOS that is all mattes or even mattes w/ satins would be a dream. I’ll take either or. Hope you hear us UD…you’d make some loyal fans extremely happy. *hint, hint* 🙂

I actually sent a letter to UD About a year ago asking for a matte palette. I even posted it on my blog. Let’s all team up and make it happen! To be honest, I thought they were going to do it,what with selling some of their matte shadows for $6 last month…

Honestly! Not all of us like to do full-frost looks. I like to mix some mattes in for added texture. I’d really like to say maybe we’ll see some mattes in palettes in the future, but seeing as how UD is currently discontinuing their mattes, I don’t think they’re getting the message.

i can safely say i wont be getting this. im glad you give us these great swatches. i have BOS2, alice, and 3 along with naked and 15th anniversary palette, and this is definitely not unique enough to warrant a purchase. they should’ve included more colors since the naked palette has so many neutrals but that is just my opinion.

Joan Avatar

Mostly very nice, but a few of these are kind of underwhelming. And I can’t justify paying the additional price for the extra gimmicky stuff that comes with the eyeshadows.

a lot of the colors, barely even look like a color. just looks like you added some shimmer to your skin hah.
i dunno, the last book i bought from urban decay, i don’t use a lot of the colors, causes i don’t know what to pair them with. x__X

This is quite a neutral palette, isn’t it? There are only a few brights, and the rest are all neutrals that look pretty similar to each other and to other palettes. I definitely will pass on this. Plus, paying extra from the gimmicks I won’t even use does not appeal to me. I have tons of USB cords at home; why would I want it with my makeup palette…

Thanks for posting this Christine!

Happy to see Blue Bus isn’t that great. It’s the colour that most “spoke” to me. I just got the 15th Anniversary Palette so I don’t need this one too, and now I’m happy to not want it all that much. (Or rather I don’t want to buy it for myself, I’d be happy to get it as a gift.)

Hmmm. That swatch of Cobra looks nothing like the Cobra in the Black Palette that they released. I wonder if they are supposed to be the same color? Mine from the Black Palette looks much much darker and more black based.

Sandy Avatar

can it be that they’re running out of clever names AND clever colors? i love UD as much as the next fashionista, but i’m 30 — plastic butterflies and laser lights just don’t do it for me anymore.

Edgy? Or dated? … does the design of this thing remind anyone else of the 90’s?

Awww man! I just swapped away my BoS Vol. III because I rarely used it and therefore thought I could easily skip Vol. IV. But now seeing the swatches, these are all colors (with the exception of Blue Bus) that I could work into my every day looks (as opposed to Vol. III which I didn’t find practical), and I will now have to amp up my willpower by about 1000!

I am such a UD fan and so wondering what they are doing with the eye shadow collections having pulled almost all of them. So for that reason alone, I am curious about this pallet. I like this over the 15th anniv pallet just because it’s manageable size wise where as the 15th was full of wacko colors for me and I have no where to put that HUGE pallet and hate I have to turn it over to even get the lid off – it’s going back actually. I will wait for this one and wait to see what the heck UD is doing with their shadow collection. Some here are new shades – some are returns. I don’t mind some of the usual repeats they put in all these boxes because I get enough else to mess with and most of the repeats are ones I would use. I like to just grab a pallet and go when I need to pack up and head out of town.
