The other day I wore Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip “Wishes” on top of Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip “Cherry on Top” to a concert. I don’t usually wear pink lips or gloss, but the blue shimmer in the gloss gave the lip a hint of purple and it looked beautiful with the blue highlight I was wearing. Super fun but not for every day!

The liner side of Tarte’s Lip Architect in Sweet Pea and topped with Nabla Cosmetics lipstick in Perfect Day with Gilded Cage Cosmetics Charisma Lip Gloss in Copper Rose. I am not much of a lip gloss fan but this one really adds something to the finished lip that I really like so willing to work with it. Also, my hair is shorter now so it doesn’t seem to get in my lipstick like it did when my hair was longer.

These days as a base I’m leaning toward Lime Crime Unicorn Lipstick in Soft Spot, Colourpop in Midi, Jeffree Star Liquid Matte Lip I’m Nude, and Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Lipstick in Peach Beach.

Usually I wear the lip gloss alone or applied over a lip pencil/crayon. However, I like to apply a gloss on top of a lip stain, if I want to tone it down a little, or on top of a matte lipstick that I feel it might get dry over time Here are two of my recent combinations:
1) Dior Lip Tattoo in Natural Cherry + Becca Rose Quartz x Seashell. I love the formula of the DLT, however this particular colour (Natural Cherry) is a bit too intense on my lips. The Becca lip gloss really tones it down and I love the result.
2) ABH Matte Lipstick in Kiss + Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Rah Rah.

I know I always get such great ideas from the collective makeup community on this forum. We must all sound high maintenance to you! I usually only wear one product at a time also but occasionally you find the perfect combination and when you have so much to choose from you want to get some use out of your stash, LOL.

I have quite a few, but lately I’ve been finding that MAC Fleshpot lipstick can be very “adaptive” and versatile with pinky/mauve lip pencils (applied over the entire lip), and can create very nice different colors. I especially like it with MAC Soar. Not too unique, but very pretty.

Not a big fan of lip glosses (always gets in my hair 🙁 ) and those few that I have are all MAC LE ones, so I won’t mention any.

Have been trying two toppers over everything: the gloss side from POTC sparrow, and the lipstick queen black lace rabbit. Not often a gloss over person, but the lq is a sheer l/s and the Lorac is a fun shade that greiges/mauve/silvers things up. Interesting. Colored liners which I always used a ton…maybe my major MAC source, as there were so many, have been largely supplanted by clear.

Nyx Slide-On Lip Pencil in Revolution with Wet n Wild MegaLast Metallic Liquid Catsuit in Siren’s Jewel (both are emerald green). I haven’t really been wearing many lip combos this past last month or so because of the heat. Mostly lip balm indoors, and outdoors a lip gloss or liquid lipstick that doesn’t require a liner. (I don’t want lipsticks and lipliner pencils melting in my purse when I go out.)
