Happy Halloween 2008 from Temptalia!
Happy Halloween my dearest readers! I hope everybody’s having a fun (and safe–yeah, I said it!) holiday, whether you’re staying in or heading out for midnight festivities. The boy and I actually ran some errands, stopped at Borders and had a coffee date, and now we’re home. I compiled this post with three “looks” I’ve done that are sort of Halloween-y. They’re basically masks/more dramatic makeup that wouldn’t be something I’d rock to the grocery store on a regular day. Surprisingly enough, only one of these looks was done for Halloween. I admit, I used to be far more creative and experimental when I first got into makeup. I think I might have to sift through some of my old folders for photos to get inspired for the future 🙂
What’d you do (or what are you going to do) for the holiday?
I’d LOVE to see all the fantastic costumes and makeup (whether traditional or totally off-the-wall) and do a round-up. Submit your photos to temptalia[at]gmail.com!
See more mask-y looks!
Oh, Aquarmine glitter… you were so pretty.
Did you know… I was a dope and FORGOT mascara!! of all things.
Photoshopped for your ghoulish pleasure.
Looks WAY cooler when Photoshopped!
I used to way more of a ham in front of the camera, too!
I can’t remember how in the world I got my hair like that! I know it wasn’t a fan…
Happy Halloween!
wow the 4th, 5th and 6th pics are fearce!
Thanks, T.C.!

i have to say the next to last and the second to last pictures are awesome.
Thanks, Michelle 😀
The next to last picture is my absolute favourite! Sooo pretty!
Thank you, Virginia 🙂
Cool pics Christine!! I’m actually going to a Halloween party tomorrow night. I’m going to be a sexy Little Red Riding Hood. Going to have traditional makeup that looks sweet and innocent…or maybe naughty since it’s a sexy costume. In any case…I’ll send pics!
Sounds cute 🙂 I hope you send pics!
Lol, you poser! These looks are awesome, Christine. Are you finding you have too little time to be inspired because of school etc?
Thanks, Stacey 😉 I don’t know what it is, it’s been a funk for awhile. Not sure if it’s school – maybe partially in the sense that I don’t care about getting dolled up for school… but probably not because I’ve been busy.
honestly i loved all of the looks! you’re so creative! =]
Thanks, Katrina!
WOW so cool all of them! I went for the Ice Queen yesterday btw!
Thanks! Ohhh, gotta head over to your blog to see if you put up pics!
Amazing! All the make up is so so ‘mask’ like yet realistic! The photoshopped one is just something else, added effects that makes that particular look even more live-like and scary! And Christine…you’re still a ham! Lol.
Thank you, Jan 🙂 LOL, well, I only take the photos necessary to show you the looks – no more.
You look like a model in the one with your hair all crazy! You look so pretty!
Aw, thanks, Lydia!
Awesome photos Christine, I can feel all the effort you put on these. Amazing job!
Thanks so much, Marcia!
I had to do an ultra fancy “shooting star” look on a friend yesterday…I’d NEVER done costume-y makeup sooo that was interesting. Love the way you blended that last look!
Ohh, nice! I’d love to have seen it 🙂
Wow, you’re so creative! all of those are so cool!
I went as Edie Sedgwick, so I had lots of fun with dramatic mod eyeliner, plus a pale lip and flawless skin 🙂
Thanks, Peggy!
Oh, sounds divine! And fun 🙂
LOVE ALL THE LOOKS!
Thank you, Theresa!
those masks are so cool! i love the last one especially!
Aw, thanks Danielle! 🙂
Oh, cute!!! Mermaid makeup much? I was hoping to maybe see a festive orange/black blend. Try purple bat wings or something next year ^_^ I personally was fierce and pink this year [lol]. I made a mistake, though, and used the greasepaint out of the Halloween store makeup kit. NEVER again!
I didn’t do anything this year for Halloween, LOL 😉 Oddly enough, majority of these weren’t done for Halloween — just random bursts of “hey, let’s get creative!”
