Is there anything you collect when it comes to beauty/makeup products?
Is there anything you collect when it comes to beauty/makeup products? Something you have to have? A product you always buy each shade of?
More recently, I did do my best to own all of the shades of Giorgio Armani’s Eyes to Kill Intense line-up, and I’m certain I’ll continue to purchase any additional shades they release.

Yes, on a general note I tend to hoard blushes and highlighters. In the past I hoarded eyeshadows–I actually own all of MAC’s entire permanent line now. Crazy, huh? I just love collecting.

Red lipstick!!!! If a new shade is released, I cannot rest until I own it. For example, both Lancome & Estee Lauder are coming out with new red lipsticks for fall, and I definitely plan on buying them, even though I already own close to 20 red lipsticks already (from Makeup Forever to Revlon to Sephora to Mac, etc.) 🙂

The red lipsticks to get are YSL Rouge Pur collection and Dolce and Gabbana collection: Ruby, Ultra, Scarlett and Magnifica.

Fragrance sets, I love; Cosmetic brush sets, eye shadows, and different glitters. Love girly make up!!!
I collect yellow eyeshadows,starting to collect everything UD eyeshadow,and any shadows with a fairy/magical/mystical theme or name!

I am the biggest eyeshadow and lipgloss junkie! I own mostly UD eyeshadow including 7 Palettes, 12 token pots of shades not in the palettes I already own, loose shadow and cream shadow. I also have several MAC e/s, and palettes from Stila, Too Faced, Benefit, and Tarte. Lipgloss I own anything from MAC Lipglass, UD Lip Junkie, Victoria’s Secret and several drugstore brands. And it keeps growing!
I have more blue eyeshadow than the average girl…and I still want more.

I have things that you coud call collections because I get almost every one of that line or style, but I truly collect, on purpose, miniature makeup items.
I am obsessed with lip balms and kabuki brushes..
Oh yeah…I forgot – I do get a lot of lip balms – always looking for a better one, a better deal on them $ wise vs. the fav high end $ ones.
I collect MAC lipglasses. I have, like 40+. I’m crazy.
i like to collect the cardboard packaging that limited edition MAC collections that come out. I am a graphic design student so I like to keep the packages for some inspiration and research
Darker pink blushes – everytime I see a new one I have to buy it. I still have a couple at home that I haven’t used more than once, because I just have so many.
NARS eyeshadows (especially the duos) and blushes. I won’t buy a shade I know I would never wear, but if I could even possibly wear it once in the future, I’ll buy it even if I have dupes. I just love NARS, it’s my favorite brand!

I completly agree with you. I love all things coral! The color just looks good regardless of whether im tan or not at the moment. I especially love this color because it is harder to find so when I find something in coral I must get it!

I really really love ALL of the Venomous Villains collection from Mac.. I would’ve bought the whole thing if I was into Mac then): So now I find myself paying a lot more for them on eBay lol..

Light pink and nude lipsticks from MAC, and NYX pearlmania eyeshadows…for some reason 🙂 They’re cute and little and not expensive, and very pretty.
Eyeshadow. I have not even put a dent in my stash but I continue to buy more. If I see a pretty palette by UD or KVD or something movie or TV themed that I like,, or sadly enough if I just like the name of it, I’ll buy it.
They have several KVD pallettes on sale now at Sephora.
Chanel Nail Polishes… I have about 50 at this point. I keep adding each new collection when it comes out.
I’m currently trying to ‘collect’ the Tokidoki eyeliners. All the Brillante liners are on sale, and the Perfetto ones are basically going on sale one at a time.
Ugh, too many things. As you know I love everything mineralize/baked, Guerlain Meteorites, I also collect pretty powders (not collect on purpose, just can’t resist buying them, lol). I love Urban Decay palettes, although I don’t have all of them, and also Guerlain lipsticks, Rouge Gs, Kiss Kiss lipsticks and the new Automatiques range. Like I said, too many things, lol.

Nope! I just buy what I like. I have never bought an entire collection or line of anything – I pick and choose what appeals to me. I suppose if MAC or Tarte or any company launched a collection based on something I really liked – the Avengers (Diana Rigg version) or Spooks/MI5 – I might consider buying the whole thing but even then, I doubt I would. I do still have ALL my Beatle bubblegum cards from when I was in grade 5 or 6, but that’s about the last thing I collected obsessively.
I love Urban Decay and I guess I “collect” some of their palettes. They aren’t cheap, so I definitely don’t buy all of them.

Mac pigments!
Whenever I find a couple of products from a brand that I like, I try to collect a whole makeup routine’s worth of products–foundation down to lipstick. It’s really annoying since whenever I try to collect the rest of the products, there’ll be one or two that I’m not much a fan of but would still be forced to buy. Last time I did it was with ELF because I enjoyed their mascara, blush, and one of their lipstains. Now I have the whole line plus all the brushes. 🙁
I don’t really collect make-up. I am really into eyeshadow though. I have a ton of different brands, shades and finishes. Sometimes I just cannot resist. And I am getting into nailpolish as well. Love all the pretty colours brands like China Glaze and Color Club come out with.
This isn’t really makeup but I consider it beauty… I collect the Harajuku Lovers Perfumes. I absolutely LOVE the bottles. The perfume itself could smell like pickle juice and I would still buy the collections. As far as makeup goes I am a complete and total sucker for purple eyeshadow. I own over 50 different purple eyeshadows… and I continue to purchase purple eyeshadow to add to my collection!
I’ve started collecting Guerlain. The packaging is splendid and of course the products are as well. I haven’t invested in meteorites or foundation yet. Yet being the key word. 🙂
Definitely nail polish. If I see a shade I sort of want and end up not buying it, I feel sick and empty until I do. It’s like a disease.
Sadly, I understand this, haha! I do limit myself, however, and try not to buy what I consider to be *expensive* polishes ($10+). I have only purchased one like that twice in my life and I seriously questioned the purchase after the fact each time. Bought 6 bottles of China Glaze on clearance for $1 each just today and it felt like Christmas to me!
I have the hugest freaking collection of red eyeshadows and I keep buying more, especially when they’re true red. A lot of them are very similar but it doesn’t stop me, haha.

I used to love collecting lip products! From lip balms, chapstick, lip gloss, lip stains, and lipsticks! I have a whole small Sterilite drawer of them! But recently, I’ve done a 180 turn, and now I hate lip products! I decided that I will pare down my collection. I guess you could say I’m doing a project pan. I just feel like I have too much 🙁
deborah lippman polishes! as well as special packaged lipglasses from mac, i just need to have one color from a collection, i love seeing all the different variations of the classic lipglass tube.
I own quite a bit of perfume, I always buy ones I like but then I tend to only wear 3 of the 20 scents I own… so i should really stop buying perfume haha.
But my major obsession for collecting is Nail Polish!! Especially OPI Nail Polish! I love all the colors!! Every time a new collection comes out I practically buy every shade! I’m at about 130 shades now.
mm, probaby blushes with cute designs. mac msfs too… but I don’t have the ones I dont think are worth it. And mac eyeshadows too – except the lustre ones, those crappy things drive me crazy with their fallout!

For me it’s lipsticks and blue eyeshadows. Blue is my favorite color and I tend to gravitate towards deep or electric blue shades.

I used to collect the Victoria’s secret body spray line. I had every one of them at one point, and then I had so many, there was no place to put them all when I moved, so I put them all out at a yard sale and gave away the extras. now I try to be more careful when I start getting into a brand. I try to keep it to where I won’t buy new things until what I have is nearing the bottom of the bottle lol… it’s sad how much money I wasted on things I never even got to use… lol
i have a ridiculous amount of bath and body works products….. like over 40 perfumes and 25 lotions…oh and some shower gel…and candles….and 24 tubes of their lipgloss….this is pathetic xD

Yes, everytime a new collection of Givenchy, Armani and Mac comes out with new blushes, shadows, shimmer and highlighters I have to buy them. I am a real junkie when it comes to cosmetics. All my friends come or call me including my daughters when they need makeup. Can’t wait
till all the new fall collections are out. I love it.
I don’t really. I rarely find a line of a product were I like every singe colour. If I like a product I’ll propably by a few of them but only if I know I will actully get use out of them. I’ve learned over the years hehe =)
Not really collecting, but I have more blue nail polishes than most people I know.

I am fighting (a losing?) battle against collecting blushes. I love the colors and how they look on and they are so easy to wear. My current wants are the latest Chanel, a soft pink one that I can’t spell the name of, a YSL , actually make that 2, and a couple from clarins latest line – I think the battle is lost 🙂

Yes, lip gloss and lip balm! I collect a number of brands and series, but the one I’ve been collecting for the longest and most anal about are Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. Close to 400 and counting 😀
I also am not a horder – I like to keep my stuff so I can find what is stuff I want to use vs. have stuff lost…so I thin my stuff out all the time. But I do have a huge stash of nail polishes. Now that I see what some (if they were unused) go for on the 2nd market – makes me never want to part with any unless they are shades I won’t ever wear or dupes.
YES! I have recently discovered my local Dollar Tree is now carrying L’oreal HIP Gloss…I grabbed on in every color! I cannot believe that I used to pay $9 for them!!

I’m a huge lipstick collector. My favs are MAC lipsticks, Guerlain Rouge G and, thanks to Temptalia, I’ve discovered the wonderfull Bobbi Brown Rich Lipcolor series. I never had a single Bobbi Brown product before.
I also have quite a big bunch of MAC fluidlines.

Lately I’m obsessed with collecting all the permamanent shadows from MAC and also like to collect powder blushes (especially corals and bright pinks)
I’m crazy about Urban Decay palettes. I really don’t mind the repeat shades. Right now I have 10 UD palettes.. and I’m just waiting for the 15th Anniversary palette to arrive. Haha! 😀
I seem to collect all of MAC’s blushes and MSFs, and to a lesser extent their eyeshadows. I’m not sure when it happened, I just know it did somewhere along the line! The MSFs have their own drawer in my vanity, and almost every blush I own is in a palette.
Oh I forgot, I also collect UD’s 24/7 liners, ever since I got a huge jump on them with the 15th anniversary set!

I collect pinky/nude/beige lipsticks and lipglosses. I am constantly on the search for the perfect “better than my lips pink nude beige” color. I tend to go more towards the neutral to cool pinky nudes. If it gets too warm or coral it doesn’t look good on my fair pink skin. I love NARS lip gloss in Chihuahua and Belize. MAC’s lipstick in Hue, Angel, Hug Me, Kinda Sexy and Faux. MAC’s Plush Glass in Ample Pink and Big Baby. NYX’s Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Sweetheart!
Last fall I tried to collect mascaras, but I had to stop because my mom forbade me to buy anymore mascaras until I used up my others. I can’t wait until they expire. So all of them I’ve had for almost a year.
