The Details

Fenty Beauty will be revealing the line on Facebook on September 7th at 7:15PM EST.

Editor’s Note:  I do not have any products for review, and I do not have any information ahead of the launch.  As soon as the launch goes live tonight (or any additional information from their Facebook reveal), I’ll be sure to post more information.

9/8, midnight PST

The brand is still keeping a lot of the product line underwraps, but so far, we know:

  • Killawatt (Highlighter)
  • Gloss Bomb (Lipgloss)
  • Foundation/Base Products (40 shades)
  • Brushes/Tools
  • Cheek Highlighter

Based on the promotional imagery, it also looks like there is a translucent pressed powder and blotting paper.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Didn’t get interested in anything yet bc all i saw was a little too nude. I hope they sell for the whole world because I am curious, mainly for the foundations.

I’m a NC44 foundation girl and I can’t find my shades in Brazil bc brands (except for MAC, which I’m boycotting) do not bring their whole collection here, while our local brands produce like 6-7 shades for all of us.

Nonetheless, it is impossible to buy them because nobody send it here (Tarte sells to Argentine, but not Brazil, for example).

Im interested in the highlighters and foundation but there are no swatches.I know it’s going to be hard to figure out which shade is right for my skin tone while scrambling to add to my cart and check out because I’m sure this launch tonight is going to be pure madness and most if not all of it will sell it quickly. The eyeshadow doesn’t look that impressive in the pan.I’ve only seen pics on Instagram but we need some swatches to use as a guideline you think they would have realized that.

I was at Sephora the other day and they had the gondola all ready to go but covered up with a cloth with the launch date printed on it…. Looking at this photo above, it’s all very beige/nude for my taste and looks more like a summer launch than fall…

looks kind of cheap honestly like no different than KKW beauty or these other youtube brands. Rihanna has money I expected it to be bougier idk

Erica Avatar

Exactly. Looks very cheap and a knock of Kim’s which isn’t anything great and looks which both have vibes of something you’d fund in the pregnancy aisle of s drugstore. Very douche suppository pregnancy test vibes. Not chic and elegant or cool like you’d expect from Rihanna!

Ooooh, I love the millennial pink packaging and some of those shimmery, shiny colors! Highlighters, eye shadow(?), lip color … I’ll be curious to see how these review. The colors look really pretty and like stuff I’d want.

I didn’t have any expectations of this launch, but I am very underwhelmed. The packaging looks very cheap to me. But I am no fan of Rihanna, so I’m probably very biased. 😛

40 base shades – that’s impressive. The packaging looks cool (except for those built in brushes, ugh, hate those with the fire of a thousand dying suns) and I kinda want that peachy coral duo no matter if it’s an eyeshadow or blush but… no lipsticks?

Is Kim and Ri producing their makeup in the same factory? Their stuff looks mighty similar: diluted Pepto-Bismol pink plasticky packaging, appears cheap and very underwhelming. Ri is bright, colourful, feisty, but this line looks anything but.

Jaybquilloy Avatar

No, Kim’s most likely produce by Colourpop’s factory while Rihanna’a produced by the same factory as Kay Von D, Marc Jacobs, Sephora Collection, to name a few.

Hmm, if they are going to have this at the Rouge event on Saturday morning I will check it out. Nothing really strikes me that I really have to have. I love Rihanna but that doesn’t mean I’ll purchase her makeup.

MM Avatar

I’m excited for the foundation. It’s for a decent price and actually has a wide variety of shades ( over 40 different ones) from what the other promo pictures I saw so I am really excited!

Erica Avatar

It looks horribly cheap. Not liking the horrible Kim Kardashian find it in the pregnancy douche aisle of Walgreens packaging. So not wowed. Expect more from Rihanna. She is an innovator not a Kim Kardashian wanna be!

Rayne Avatar

I feel like this looks so cheap, I was expecting a much more luxurious looking line. The magnetic aspect also does not appeal to me, it just reads gimmicky in my eyes. I will wait for reviews on the products before I consider a purchase. A pro from the initial glance is the colour range – that I am very impressed by.

Now that I have Studied the collection, I’m VERY interested!

On the List:

PRO FILT’R – Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
MATCH STIX (Matte) – Latte & Wheat
MATCH STIX (Shimmer) – Rum & Tripping
KILLAWATT – Mean Money / Hu$tla Baby
And the full size brushes (maybe!)
