What are the most unique eyeshadows you own?
What are the most unique eyeshadows you own? Shades that you just don’t think can be duped?
MAC Rye is a shade that I loved and used a lot that I didn’t really feel I could find elsewhere (but I haven’t used it in some time, so perhaps something has come out since!).
Thanks to Elizabeth for today’s question!

MAC Jealousy Wakes is the most unique eyeshadow I own 🙂
i dont own mac’s my melody or newled minted but i wish they would repromote them or i could find dupes. i tried mufe’s #93 but i find it a little bit more green.
*newly
MAC Sweet and Punchy which I wore today.
i just started my makeup collection and as of now the most unique one that i got is JEALOUSY WAKES 🙂 since i know that there are no dupes of that eyeshadow and it is beautiful!!
I’m a glitter girl…not everyday, but like the colors I own. Urban Decay kiddie pool. I think Sin by Urban Decay (not glitter) is unique also. I bought this Guerlain duo shadow about 20 years ago….which I never used ….burnt orange and prune (purple) that I have not seen anywhere. Unique combo.
Oh, I forgot to add Suger Pill “weekender”. Use it over MAC Satin Taupe and it is gorgeous….have been told time and time again every-time I use it.
I love MAC Metal X in Gilded Ash!
A lot of urban decay ones, chronic especially.
I think MAC Vex e/s is pretty unique. Jealousy Wakes is unique and so are Sun Blonde, Pincurl (because of the pink sort of duochrome) and Saffron. I also feel that Dalliance is fairly unique because it has a bit of an olive or green tint to it that I’ve never seen in a shade like that.
Yup, me too – Vex and Sun Blond!
Dalliance is soooo gorgeous. I have yet to find a true dupe for it.
I wish I didn’t love Dalliance so much; I didn’t buy it. I think I should steal it from the friend I recommended it to lol
I feel every fyrinnae eye shadow I own is unique 🙂
ITA!!! Nothing of theirs can be duped.
I agree Fyrinnae shadows are not easy to dupe. Which is why I have to be careful not to ruin them when I press them especially the discontinued shades:)
i have a cheap no name eyeshadow like that rye it’s a brownish gold hehe when i wear it people love it 😛 kinda forgot about it, plus i dropped it n it cracked :))
hmmmm….most unique shades i own are a matte hot pink and neon orange eyeshadows :)) i hate shimmers, except on a silver or gold base
*i was talking abot heavy shimmer…a lil is good :)) but not on the lips
Definitely Medusa’s Makeup Electro Eyeshadow in Electro Red–it’s a very bright red with orange undertones!
Unique in terms of colour would probably be the exclusive light purple shade from Too Faced’s Enchanted Glamourland, UD’s Suspect or MAC’s Greensmoke. Unique in terms of “rare” or hard to get hold of is probably MAC’s Smoke & Diamonds.
For me it has to be MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot. I really love the texture and the color is just so brilliant on my skintone. I have honestly not found any cream eyeshadow that has the exact same color, pigmentation, texture, and finish as this baby.
I have this Kryolan palette of cream colors. There’s one that is similar to Rubenesque, except it’s substantially pinker, as well as greasier and prone to creasing. Still similar, though…
Guerlain Tsarina 🙂
Some are Vex, Club, Inglot 504 and pigment no.85 by Inglot.
I am going to have to go with Dalliance, I loved it sooo much I bought two 🙂
MAC Jealousy Wakes; and the Enigma palette by Chanel.
off the top of my head, mac woodwinked and mufe nº5
Unique is relative… but I have two 88 palettes; I wonder if that counts? I guess Lucky Green, I love that color. I also have a bunch of Shiro colors from the Super Effective collection. I guess my most unique eyeshadow is Charmander. I do have a “most unique” eyeliner, though… Actually, several from tokidoki. I’m so sad they’re not going to continue making Mostro. I bought another one to stock up. >_>
Lancome Erika F. Not the colour (what taupe? it’s green on me, haha!) as much as the really unique type of sparkle. Mac’s duochrome Motif.
I love the silver pewter in the Chanel Mystic Eyes Quad, i’ve never seen anything like that! Another good example would be Shiseido Hydro-Powder Shadow in Spring Plum – a reddish plum with green shimmer.
Mac star violet!
Mac’s Twillery from the 2005 inventive eyes quad!!!!! im almost out of it…will only use it for special occasions. ive spent hundreds of dollars trying to find an exact dupe but nothing ever comes close!
I have some old Lancome eye shadows from the late 80’s that I love – 1 was GWP. So old now, names worn off the bottom – no idea what they were but know they are no longer made. UD shadows I have are among the most unique shadows I have (that I like) – there are lots of unique ones I don’t like!!!
MUFE #92 Everyone tries to make a dupe for it but none of them compare.
probably vex or the family crest pigment.
The most unique I own is definitely MAC Club. Most unique and one of the most loved — other two most loved/used (not necessarily unique) are Woodwinked and Rubenesque Paint Pot.
“Loaded” by Urban Decay
MAC Stars ‘N Rockets is one of the most unique shadows I own — it’s the first MAC shadow I purchased.
MAC Hypnotizing from the Love lace collection
Somehow, no brand I know of have been able to dupe MAC’s Woodwinked.. It’s just one of those colours that looks like every other gold colour but just isn’t =)
Most of the really unique shadows I have are from Indie companies. Picachu from Shiro cosmetics is awesome, it’s a bright yellow with red microglitter. Meerkat from Fyrinnae, actually there’s a lot of colors from Fyrinnae that are unique. Two of the colors from The Balm Shady Lady vol. 2 palette are pretty unique as well- they are the top two shadows in the right row, both are taupe-ish with one being purple-tinged. They make awesome single-shade looks because of their depth.
Archetype’s Xiabalba. It’s bronze with BLUE shimmer. So pretty!
I think your answer should be Jealousy Wakes! Since you have made it to be a unique green!
MAC Patina. So…weird but awesome <3
I love Make Up Store’s City Jungle. It’s like a matte blue, but it also has green-ish gold shimmers. And I don’t think I can actually describe it like it really is, so you have to check it out for yourself;)
My other fave and unique eyeshadow is Too Faced Label Whore. It is a reddish-brown colour with a green glow (depends on the light if you see it) and with some little glitters.
I have so many eyeshadows (Yes I’m a big collector) so I’m going to have to put down three of my most unique shades.
NYX Taupe Pearl: It’s a frosty almost metallic ( or borderline so)taupe-y pearl that reflects flashes of rich white gold and it is so pretty it can be worn entirely by its self. I got this shade originally because I thought it was similar to MACs Satin Taupe but it ended up being sooo much better than that, and it even beat out my Dior shadows as well. One of the best shades I’ve ever come across.
Parfait Amour: It may strike similarities to certain urban decay shadows and NYX ones by its initial color in the pan, but on the lid it takes on a whole identity of its own. It’s a very complex purple, a blue violet sheen with ruby undertones when it catches the light and just the right shade of purple, extremely lux and gorgeous! I’ve worn this on it’s own as a lid shade with a white gold highlight and gotten heaps of compliments.
Nars’s Galapagos: This is going to be hard to describe I’m not sure whether I’d call it a metallic or duochrome, it’s a bronzey-brown shade with a double layer of intense gold reflects and sheen with a cream like consistency that can single handedly do a bronze smokey eye all by its self.
MAC Shale. Doesn’t look very exciting, but it’s neither too grey nor too plummy. Just right. Gorgeous on hazel or green eyes…
I haven’t checked for any dupes yet but I think good unique one is Estee Lauder’s Polished Platinum. It’s a really pretty silver with a gold shimmer/sheen.
