What is the cheapest beauty product you use regularly?

Wet ‘n’ Wild Reserve Your Cabana! I use it for setting underneath my eyes or as an all over finishing powder.

I was going to say probably a mascara, but you’re right with Wet n’ Wild. I use their MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals almost every day.

Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner (retails for around $4 but Walgreens has sales throughout the year where you can buy 3 and get 3 free). I have super oily skin with occasional breakouts and this stuff is amazing! It leaves no trace residue on the skin and I use it occasionally during day instead of washing my face.

NYX Butter Glosses!
My favorite shades are Cherry Pie, Sugar Cookie, Raspberry Tart, and Cranberry Biscotti.
These glosses are smooth, non-sticky, and add a hint of color on their own or over lipstick.
They’re cruelty-free and cheap, too!
They’ve replaced MAC glosses for me, though they’re really not all that similar.

Setting powder and concealer. Too Faced is the brand I use the most, but I’ll use drug store for travel. Everything else, not so much. I’ve had to switch to higher end as I age simply because I find the products work better. The only mascara I’ve found that doesn’t flake on me these days is Dior Diorshow.

NYX Photogenic Concealer Wand. In combo with either my IMAN Correct & Cover cream or alone to cover super dark undereye circles. We’re talking almost racoon! ?

Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder in Translucent Light ($12): It’s my setting powder and touch up powder (SPF 16). Non-drying formula. Excellent for dry skin. Also provides a little coverage. Probably more suitable for cooler undertones.

ELF High Definition Undereye Setting Powder ($3): I bought several a few years ago, but I heard the formula might have changed (fake news?). I also have LM brightening powder ($26). ELF has noticeable sparkle particles, but when applied lightly and blended, the two powders perform the same on me (I’m fair). Neither oxidizes any makeup underneath on me.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Pure ($5): A clear (i.e. unmuted), medium rose that’s somewhat creamy, has staying power, and prevents any bleeding. I’m fair so it applies slightly darker on me. Ideal for medium to darker red-pink shades. I also use it as a base sometimes to increase longevity of the topper lipstick. My natural lip color is quite light and this shade oxidizes darker on me — which is fine by me.

Covergirl The Supersizer Waterproof Mascara in Very Black ($6): There’s only waterproof mascara that I like more — Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara ($32 – ugh!). The only difference to me is that the Inimitable applies like a breeze. Both perform beautifully.

Those are my little gems. I’m looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s.

To anyone who posts on or reads Temptalia from the Houston area and SE USA, my thoughts and prayers for you and yours. Stay safe.

One more. Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater ($7). It has a fine spray (unlike some others I’ve tried) and is loaded with moisturizing properties. Great for my dry skin. Powders always look better on me after I use it.

Ugh this is only available in the states, I live in Canada and always have to beg my parents to make a stop and bring some home for me when they cross the boarder for some shopping. But it is so incredible!!!!!!

WnW Reserve Your Cabana for brow highlight (will have to try for undereyes!), CG Lashblast Volume Mascara, L’Oreal Brow Stylist brow mascara, and I am still working through my large stash of now-discontinued Maybelline Dream Matte powder as my all-over base.

I use all drugstore so it is cheap! Lots of WetnWild everything and live it! Great tip to use the Cabana as eyeshadow powder, I love it under eyes also great match. Colourpop eyeshadows, Essence eyeshadows and prince mascara, Cover Girl, L’Oréal, Nyx first eyeshadow in Warm Neutral. Chapstick must be the cheapest one and I can’t live without it.

My toothbrush from a hotel room as a brow brush and sometimes last brush too. Tip from queen Mary Greenwell and it’s free and fabulous for making travel easier

Revlon HD lipgloss in Rose Quartz. I love, love this color but don’t like the brush applicator, so when it just is too messy to deal with (usually about 2/3 way through), I have no qualms about just getting a new one.

I use Milani Make it Last setting spray everyday, as well as Wet n Wild highlighter in Precious Petals. Also my fave liquid eyeliner right now is actually the Maybelline Master Precise in black. I find I reach for that even more than KVD in trooper, which just isn’t black enough for me.

TokyoMilk Dark lip elixirs. They are wonderful lip balms, are $7 at Sephora, and come in a variety of flavors. My favorite is Clove Cigarette, although they are all fantastic. Also the Mario Badescu rosewater spray, $7 at Ulta. Love spritzing it on for the scent alone. But for the cheapest of cheap that still is awesome, definitely the Vaseline rose lip balm, I think it’s $3 and lasts forever.

RCMA No Color Powder. It’s extremely inexpensive, but such a good setting powder! I did my own calculations of the three loose powders I currently own:

RCMA is $12 for a 3 ounce bottle, which comes to just $4 per ounce.

Laura Mercier Transparent Powder is $38 for a one ounce jar.

MAC Prep + Prime Loose Powder is $27 for a 1/3 ounce jar, which comes to a whopping $81 per ounce! (Never buying this one again.)

The cheapest beauty product I use regularly is also Reserve Your Cabana by Wet n Wild. I lightly dust it all over my face after I apply contour and blush. It makes my skin look so pretty! <3

It’s so funny you asked this question today – this morning, as I was applying my favorite cheap product, I was thinking that this would be a good question! It’s the NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder highlighter in Crushed Bloom. So fun, easy to use, and an excellent value – it would be a great product at any price point.

I also love ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lip. Not a huge fan of liquid lipsticks as a rule but that formula is awesome.

Essence Make Me Brow and Princess Mascaras
WNW Reserve your cabana bronzer and lipsticks
Rimmel Eye and Lip Pencils and Aery Fairy lipstick
Jordana Lip Pencil in Tawny
Many tubes of Maybelline Great Lash mascara
L’Oreal True Match Concealer in W123
NYX Control Freak, butter glosses, and lip and eye pencils
And much, much more.

NYX slim lip pencil in Mauve. I use this just about every day. It’s a teeny bit darker than my own lip color and I use this under MAC Brave & Twig lipsticks.

The very cheapest: Nivea lip balm in the navy blue tube, approx. $2. Canadian, sometimes less.

Second cheapest: e.l.f.’s lip exfoliator, approx. $4.99 Canadian.

“Regularly” makes this a tough one to answer, as I don’t really use anything regularly other than my base products, and none of those are cheap (not really expensive either — at least not “high end”). I’d say ColourPop eye shadows comes closest to being a regular thing for me; after that, CP brow pencil. That’s it, really. My skincare is more expensive than my makeup, so no contenders there.

I think I missed this lovely question while I was away… Anyway, my “cheap and cheerfuls” – Essence All About Matt powder and their 2-in-1 Shadow Liners, L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, Revlon’s lip butters (I think they’re discontinued now), Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, Annabelle Stay Sharp Twist Up Eye Kohl and lastly, “cream” shadows from Maybelline and L’Oreal (the latter – the Infallible ones – aren’t true cream shadows but y’all know what I mean).
