Laura Mercier Canyon Sunset Cheek Melange Review, Photos, Swatches

Laura Mercier Canyon Sunset Cheek Melange

Laura Mercier Canyon Sunset Cheek Melange

Laura Mercier Canyon Sunset Cheek Melange ($40.00 for 0.22 oz.) is supposed to add a warm glow to the face “with sunset-inspired hues.” It’s a new product for fall, and it is limited edition.

There are three shades (a peony pink, ruddy brown, and peach) that come together to create a muted, browned pink with a satin sheen. In the photos, you’ll notice gold shimmer, but it’s an overspray, and much of the shimmer disappears after the first use. The product is not nearly as shimmery as it looks initially.

The texture is soft to the touch, and the powders smooths out evenly across the skin, which makes application easier. It has good color payoff from the get-go, but it can be layered for a slightly more intense look. While the silky texture is soft, the product sits on the skin well, so it doesn’t blend away too easily, and it wore for eight hours on me before beginning to fade.

The photos remind me of a warmer, deeper version of Guerlain’s blush G (the product pics more than the swatches). Looks lovely and the lipstick you have on with it is stunning.

Weird that it would be close to Plum Foolery (which I have) because it looks so much warmer. It’s a very pretty product in the pan – really does look like a sunset.

Oh my goodness! Not that you don’t *always* look great, but you look so beautiful in that face swatch that I just had to say so. That lip really does look wonderful on you!

What a gorgeous picture! This product look fabulous on you! How would you compare this colour with NARS Orgasm? I ask because I am fair skinned and tempted! lol

I personally love Laura Mercier’s cheek products. I think they are the most natural and beautiful looking of any I have tried and this is just a gorgeous adaptation of the trend of these pressed shape cheek melanges with overspray that just about every brand has come out with. It looks lovely on you Christine!

gotta say you’re doing something good with your skin christine, you practically glow in every picture. can’t wait for the lingerie de peau review.

btw what lipstick are you wearing?

Wow, the picture of you looks great, Christine.
I just can’t see paying $40 for a blush, no matter how nice it is. I’m sure there are similar dupes for a lot less. And I don’t like LM’s lip products – tried a few and highly overrated for mediocre quality.
