Wet n Wild Pride Color Icon Palette Review, Photos, Swatches

Wet ‘n’ Wild Pride Eyeshadow Palette

Wet ‘n’ Wild Pride Eyeshadow Palette

Wet n Wild Pride Color Icon Palette ($4.99 for 0.25 oz.) contains six eyeshadows–three matte eyeshadows and three shimmery eyeshadows. Though each side resembles each other in color, they are not quite the same.

The first shade is a matte white, which while stark against my skin tone, doesn’t feel or look chalky. Next, there is a matte, green-teal that is a little low on color payoff but is decent–be careful when you blend this shade, because it is easily sheered out. The third matte shade is a dark, navy blue with the same color payoff as the teal shade. It’s just a little sheer in places. Both of the latter shades work best patted on and lightly blended to avoid sheering out the color entirely. The texture of the three matte shades was soft, and they applied smoothly.

On the right of the palette, the first shade is a shimmering white with a slightly metallic finish. The second shade is a medium-dark, minty green with a metallic sheen. The final shade is a dark navy blue with a shimmery finish (the least metallic of the bunch). I found the color payoff to be better with this side of the palette–the white shade was slightly sheer in places, but the other two were nice. Again, the white was slightly less smooth in texture compared to the other two shimmery shades, but all three were good overall.

I did experience slight fading with the matte eyeshadows after six hours of wear, but the shimmery shades held up for a full eight hours.  I think it’s a nice palette for the price–if you don’t mind having to pack on the color to ensure vibrancy.

I love the second row of colors. I don’t care for the matte colors. Overall not bad considering the price. Wet n Wild has certainly stepped up their game. I’m really loving their glitter polishes under opi crackle polishes. Their glitter polishes is the best.

You don’t have to post this Christine just wanted to let you know that I read that the 6 color pans are being discontinued June of next year so people should stock up if they like these palettes 🙂

Interesting review. I’ve found the mattes in these palettes to be almost too full of pigment; they don’t seem to have enough of the fillers to make a shadow moveable on the lid. That said, I do like these colors. I’ll look at them again.

I do agree with you on the matte shades lacking movment and being to dark for natural looks, I have taken to blending them with a light loose pigment to lighten them up and give them more movement; I just hate wasting makeup and I love recycling them to create new product!

I’m amazed at how much Wet n Wild improved their eyeshadows, and I really love how they mixed up the textures for this palette. The matte teal and the shimmery blue are probably my favorite colors from here.

I’ve had this for about a week now and love it. I never use the shades together, but I find them incredibly useful.

I’m really, REALLY loving wet n wild eyeshadows.

This looks surprisingly beautiful and decent color pay off for the price. I’m debating on picking this up, I just find sometimes because I usually buy from Mac or Sephora, Macys, Nordstorms ect… that the quality won’t be there?! What do you think Christine comparable to other great brands?

I have all of the Color Icon Palettes and I love them!! WW has mproved on their eyeshadows a great deal. Vanity and the purple shades (cant remember the nam eof that palette right now) are my favorites. They are great for the brown eye’d divas out there. If they are going to be dicontinued I will be really bummed and I will be stocking up!

Still not a fan of their liners (except the gel liners, they are decent for smudging and for a few of my tricks)
