hey Christine! this is awesome. The Urban Decay deal on the CA site, however, is 3x Beauty Junkie points and the lipstick is full price. I know most readers are probably in the US so it probably gets hairy trying to figure out where sales apply/where places ship to. But just in case anyone in Canada wanted to know!

Oh my LAWD. I’m on line outside of SFS MAC freestanding store, and this is utterly INSANE. There must be 200 people ahead of me, I got here at 10:50 a.m., not thinking that literally EVERYONE already knew about this! I’m just hoping to score something I will love….like Ruby Woo or Heroine. ?

But not half as crazy as some older lady who came through the line and asked us what the line was for, me and another person on line told her that it was Natl Lipstick Day and MAC was giving away a free lipstickto each of us, she goes to us: “Are they giving it *all* away?”

And she’s prob younger than me. I knew it would be a Scheissschau (I use a lot of fake german) and avoided the issue by ordering abh…. besides, had to work. Would love to know which shades were offered.
She was at least 10 years older than me, I’d say. But, in all honesty, you didn’t miss out on anything grand, KJH. It was just whatever they had left from the Color Rocker collection. By the time I got up to the table, just 5 shades left. 3 blues, a pale ugly gray and a light minty grey shade; Night Mint. I claimed Night Mint to wear under my CP Crystal Ball lipgloss. And it looked pretty dayum awesome!
Lol..I just bought two lipsticks via Urban Decay…didn’t realize the shipping costs till I already paid haha. 8.50 each..but then 8 dollars to ship two lipsticks. Didn’t seem as good of a deal after that. It is free for UD junkies but I didn’t know that till after lol.
Now I am regrettin not gettin the Kat Von D deal..as I haven’t tried anything from her line yet…I guess it’s not too late? Lol. But I probably shouldn’t though:).
As for Mac..I don’t wanna mess with those lines lol but cool deal for sure.
By the way…I am new to Temptalia! I just found it and been loving the swatches and reviews:)

I wonder if it’s possible to sign-up for UD Junkies (I don’t remember if it shipping was free for all tiers of the program or not), because if it is on just the basic, initial sign-up tier, then possibly you could cancel your first order Or you could try calling Urban Decay after you’ve signed up for the loyalty program 🙂

Is there a place to find out what colors each MAC store gave out this year?
I was surprised/unsurprised to learn you couldn’t pick any color for free. I wonder what determined the colors at the locations. Were they boosting the popularity of poor selling shades? Doing market research on what people tended to choose? Had overstock of those colors? Can’t seem to find much on google aside from endless press releases explaining what free lipstick day is…
My store had Cyber, and two pinks (one cool toned and one warm, on the sheerer side). There was also a hot pink that sold out first.
