The Details | Launch Information

Nine entrancing lip colors that satisfy with supreme hydration and opulent matte opacity. Flaunt your fixations with this radiant, richly pigmented formulation that saturates lips in a lightweight veil of rich color. These lipsticks lay down high impact color with a strong finish. Sensually creamy, they’re infused with powerful pigments that evoke screen siren glamour with every application. Each shade is presented like a jewel in a black-lacquered couture case fashioned with a sensually surrealist golden lip that’s destined to be a cult-status collectible.

MatteTrance Lipsticks are formulated with optical diffusers that blur the appearance of imperfections, while a blend of polymers provide flexibility and adherence. The advanced formulation of spherical particles ensures a creamy soft texture for the smoothest film of color. It’s enmeshed in a powder film combined with saturated pigment for lightweight opaque coverage.

I’ve been signed up for notification ever since I got the email a while back from Pat McGrath. I am still on the fence about them though. Not a huge matte fan and yet I seem to have a ton of mattes! In fact, I have 2 arriving today. Still, I am a big fan of her work and creativity. Might wait until I see what you think on these as my experience buying the last number of collections is very hit or miss. (And those darn sequins she packs the bags with! I think there’s still some floating around!)

I wasn’t a fan of her other items but this is a YEEES!!! the tube design alone had me but I can’t wait to get these. I plan on getting a trio for my bday on July 26th (so the 29th when they come out)

No, thanks, Pat. I’m done with mattes and they’re way too expensive. Most of the products she’s introduced have gotten universally mediocre-to-bad reviews. I think she’s way, way overrated. (JMO, folks. I have nothing against her, but I do think she’s overrated, as are her products.)

I admire McGrath’s work, but have yet to be inspired to buy anything from her. At least these don’t look as cheaply manufactured as her other products at the price point. I know the product is the key part, but I never understood the drugstore packaging at high-end prices.

I really like how the brand uses different skin tones to show how the lipsticks would look on them – it certainly would give an online customer a good idea of what would or wouldn’t work for them.
These look quite pigmented, but I just can’t wear matte lipsticks.

OMG, and it’s STILL raining lipsticks this year! IDK, love the elegant packaging with the gold lips, but matte’s not my fave finish, although many lipsticks “say” they are matte but aren’t. But I see a 2 purples, so am curious. At this price point and with the Pat McGrath name, expectations are high

I was really impressed with the texture and color of the matte lipsticks that came in her lip and glitter kit. I generally dislike the way mattes feel and really dislike anything drying, but hers were more of a mousse texture and didn’t make me want to wipe it off within an hour. All with lovely opaque color. These must be a more solid formula to end up in a bullet, but hopefully they managed to keep them non-drying. That said, I’m really not finding them interesting enough for the price. I liked the way all her other products encouraged experimentation. This is just lipstick (and I really don’t like the packaging).

I’m very interested in these. Her last set of lipsticks was literally the best matte formula I’ve ever used; actually, the only matte formula that I can wear without wanting to take it off. (And those liquid lips that are so popular now? Yuck! They turn me into a peeling mess!). So I hope this is the same beautiful formula. And the packaging is lovely. I wasn’t a fan of the old packaging, as awesome as the formula is.

Leslie Avatar

I’m so sick of matte lipsticks lol. I have to have at least a satin or something with a subtle shimmer because it lights up my face. Matte just makes me look….dull.

Anne Avatar

The packaging!!! I love mattes as they have less tendency to bleed on my aging lips. Do I need more lipsticks. Heck no! I’m getting ready to do a massive dump! Passing at least for the moment.

Erin Avatar

I want these to review really, really badly. Because I need Antidote like I need a hole in my head. And I love Pat McGrath’s work.
