I can’t wait to see what the powder looks like.
I just posted my swatches of these this morning. What did you think of them?
Where did you post them please?
Oh dear; I’ve fallen and I can’t get up….as in, fallen in love with that swirled powder. I am trying sooo hard to be good, and not go for all the things, but I’ve got a feeling about this one based on what I’ve been seeing of it!
It’s so odd to see internet makeup ‘fashion’ being taken up by luxury brands. Nonetheless I can’t wait to see the review for the powder
I lucked out and got the amazing bundle deal (basically you got both the stick and the powder for about 35) when it first launched. Hope that bundle pops up again! This is stunning! Definitely added to the holo highlight favorites list others have been waiting on from me (sorry for the delay those who asked! Work’s been intense but it’ll be up soon).
As always I’ve tested this on multiple skin tones so my high recommendation goes to anyone who likes pink-toned holo highlights. The testers this time were me (about NW-05), NC-25, NC-30, NC-42, and NW-45ish and it looked great on everyone. It has an interesting sort of gray patina hint to it that comes out more and more on darker skin. Not an ashy gray, just kind of a fabulous antique silver aspect. The main flash is pink across tones. I’d say it’s closest to Pat McGrath Nude Skin Fetish or Looxi Stripped but with more of a silver aspect than white.
Layering the stick and the powder worked great on all testers and is a fabulous way to wear it. But if I were to pick one or the other, the pigment itself is the star. If you only want one the pigment is wonderfully versatile and offers a stronger holo. Both are smooth, easy to apply, great on eyes too, and wonderfully buildable. The pigment is more intense but layerable so if you prefer the subtle dewy look the stick is good too. Love it.
Thank you for going through these so thoroughly for us. I feel a bit of a need for the powder.
Christine I can’t wait for your review.
I’m going to have to hide my credit cards, and try hard to remember that I have more than enough highlighters. These look quite amazing and I feel a real need for the powder one.
Great description Celia! Off to Binxcat for the swatches. Antique silver, pink, holo….this sounds like jtt for my taupe/greige/mauve phase. Haven’t hit any HG yet, and I have more than I thought.
The swirl is positively hypnotizing! I will be looking for swatches ASAP.
I was too late for the special duo offering. I think I’ll just get the powder when it’s available again.
This looks a little different! I’m curious to see swatches.
Ah….. I want these but I always have to get LAURA GELLER products second hand here in Canada and I REALLLY want this BAKED GELATO Diamond Dust. 🙁
Laura Geller website ships to Canada.. but..
Here’s the lowdown: I just signed up to website only to find shipping costs = regular shipping $57 Cdn, trackable = $59 Cdn AND then you add duties on top. This for two items whose total is less than the shipping. It’s just ridiculously rude. I’m better on buying from Nordies through Borderfree, but the whole process turned me off.
I am looking at this and it’s already screaming, “Buy me”!
I was doing so good on my no buy too. Made it 9 months dang it.
After Christine’s recent highlighter review, I was just noting how few highlighters I have. As in the Moonchild palette plus one cool gold one, and I pretty much use the latter all the time. I was feeling that I needed a pink one for regular use and then this showed up. So I got both items because it was basically another $12 above a single item + shipping to get them both with free shipping. Thanks for all your comments and I hope I like them.
Ugh I’m loving highlighters! Can’t resist them! Help!
So many highlighters… Good Lord. Looks cute so far though.
