Are you willing to try brand new skincare brands/lines?
Are you willing to try brand new skincare brands/lines? Either a new brand entirely or when a brand enters into skincare for the first time?
I’m definitely willing to try from brands I’m familiar with. Â If it’s a brand new line entirely, then I’m hesitant.

I definitely have to check with makeupalley and other reviews =)
I concur and I also use YT for a resource as well.
I get bored with products easily, so I’m always open to trying new skincare products or lines. I just do my research and read a lot of reviews first.
I’m always afraid to try anything new for fear of my skin freaking it. My skin is pretty sensitive and tends to be dry, but it’s also acne prone. Recently, I tried a new face peel that said it was appropriate for sensitive skin and the results were disastrous. I had a rash on my forehead, tiny little pimples and my skin was so dry it was peeling for days afterward. This was over a week ago and my face is still really dry.
This is an interesting question. I have always loved to try out new products, but recently my skin seems to be a little more sensitive than it was, so I kind of stopped testing new products on my face. Normally before I try something new, I always look for reviews. If it’s something that is talked about everywhere by everyone, I’d probably want to give it a try as well. I’ll also try an unfamiliar brand if it’s something a friend swear by.
This is precisely the same story I have! I was flyin’ down the skin care freeway, making pit stops at every product I ran across. Then my skin went sideways on me so I’ve started using an acne treatment 3 x per week and using a very gentle water soluble cleanser. Now I read tons of reviews at beauty blogs and beautypedia before I think about trying new skin care. I really appreciate beautypedia for not only including the ingredient listing, but also highlighting what certain ingredients actually DO to your skin!
Definitely! My skin is very sensitive so I always check ingredients. Once I find a skin care system that works for me it only lasts so long and then my skin gets “used to it.” I just recently switched to Mario Badescu. So far, so good. I was using Kate Sommerville before- pretty good. My classic face wash is Cetaphil. And Murad is HORRIBLE for me- it caused open, bleeding sores on my face!
I’m actually trying out a different skincare routine that’s a bit out of my comfort zone. I’m definitely willing to try new things.
I agree! New brands are always nice to try, but when it’s completely new I wouldn’t try it immediatly.
If it’s a company I’m not familiar with, I tend to start with something simple, like a moisturiser. If I’m not happy with the quality, I can always use it on my hands and body.
Im like you. If its a brand I have seen before – yeah. If a new brand maybe. I would start with like a body scrub first
If I’m familiar with the brand I’m more willing, but if I’m not, I check the ingredients. If there are lots of things in the list that I’m familiar with using (I know how it treats my skin, etc) then I won’t have a problem. I’m also more willing if there’s a tester, so I can get an idea of the scent, texture, whatever.
I am definately willing to try new scincare lines from brands that are well known. If its about a totally new brand I dont think I would.
i think i would give it a shot… i don’t have very sensitive skin, so new things are fun for me to try!
Oh yes, definitely. Im always on the look out for new things from brands I haven’t tried before. Im more likely to try an eyeshadow or a blusher before a foundation though.
Only if I see some solid reviews first. I don’t have sensitive skin and I don’t break out much, so I am a little more willing to give something a try.
Nope. Why mess up a good thing? At this point my clinique does a perfect job. Maybe i’d mix it up if I suddenly had skin problems. But as of right now I won’t change.
Definitely willing to try new brand and or line of products!
I love to wear foundation wether in a liquid form or cream form! I like to try different brands that are not to pricey because at the moment I can’t afford them! In the future I want to try YSL and Nars foundation! Thanks
Heck yes! Some of my favourite skincare products are things from brands I hadn’t used (or even heard about before) – I particularly love the Palmers Cocoa Butter Night Renewal Cream and Line Smoothing Eye Cream. I bought them both without knowing anything about them or reading any reviews, etc.
And the Antipodes Avocado skincare range is absolutely heavenly – the Vanilla Pod Day Cream in particular is completely sublime! I’d only read about them in an info booklet I picked up somewhere – I’m really glad that are as fantastic as the literature says thay are! 🙂
Yes, I am willing to try brand new skincare brands/lines. A new product may work wonders for your skin, you never know until you have tried.
I check makeupalley reviews first, and if possible try to get a sample. If I can’t get a sample, I would probably not risk my money, unless the makeupalley reviews said the product was amazing.
Before I try anything new, I always read the ingredients label to see what the product is made of. If it’s all natural stuff, I’d definitely try it.
