#2 – Hakuhodo S #113 – it’s a highlighter brush, but I it is perfect size for my smallish features.

Sad: Beautylish also cannot ship this product to Canada. This is consistent with others carrying the product. I’m guessing it has something to do with their SPF claims or ingredients; a constant problem for packaging and selling here. Argh.

Wayne Goss 14 was a surprise favorite for me! It’s what I reach for most of the time now- it helps mitigate my heavy hands ?
It’s still the Real Techniques Blush Brush for me (the one with the pink handle). I need a somewhat fluffy brush to sheer out blushes, as most are too pigmented for my very fair skin. It’s got enough shape and density to still blend the blush out properly.
I feel the same way. Ever since I picked up this brush it’s been my favorite. I think the “fluffiness” makes it really easy to apply blush with light hand and not overdo it. With other stiffer of smaller brushes I feel like I apply so much color it makes me look like a clown!
I love blush, because I look quite dead without it. So, I have quite a few blush brushes, and I don’t have a favorite. It just depends on the pigmentation and density of the powder. I do use natural hair brushes. For me, they make all the difference in the world, and are worth every penny. And I have one synthetic buffing brush that won’t disturb my foundation.
My Zoeva powder blush. All nice and fluffy.
Ecotool’s tapered blush brush. I’m not even sure why exactly, but I just have an easier time getting the blush to where I want it to go. I think Ecotools has revamped their line and discontinued this brush, and I’m so sad that there isn’t a similar brush in their new line up!
I’ve got an old, simple, worn, non-dense, dark animal hair brush that came with an Estee Lauder kit I got some 20 years ago. This homely brush is still my favorite blush brush. Though I’ve tried several other types, shapes, densities, and materials, none measures up to my old EL.
As of only a few months ago, I now own 2, but only use one! So far, I am totally in love with the one I bought by Royal & Langnickel Complexion Brush 185 at Walmart back when I got Lancôme Teint Idole 24H Foundation. Not too expensive, but it really delivers an airbrushed finish, so of course I’m really enjoying that!
That said, I now also have one by Luxie that I received in my latest Ipsy Bag. But have yet to try it. I’ll have to give it a go one of these days just to see, huh?
Oh crud! I am so sorry! I totally screwed up and thought I read “foundation brush”….my fault for staying up until 3 a.m. +, then waking at 6:30 to get in on the MAC Steve J & Yoni P collection, buying it, running into tech difficulties, getting those resolved, being on hyperdrive but needing more sleep, finally falling back to sleep after 8 only to wake up at 1:30 P.M.! YIKES! So today, I’m an airhead. Please forgive me!
Favorite BLUSH brush is Luxie 522 Tapered Highlighter Brush or e.l.f. Studio Blush Brush with the tapered head.
No more all-night vigils for me!
Zoea 126 Luxe Cheek Finish & 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek, NARS Yachiyo, Real Techniques Blush Brush
I’ve bought quite a few lately and I feel like you need to have several, because a different brush might work best depending on the type and texture of the blush.
For powder blush, in general, I like the Ecotools one (not the latest they launched, the one that’s been around for a few years). For some blushes I feel like the RT brush works better (it’s super soft yet picks up a ton of pigment). With some highly pigmented blushes, I prefer a a fluffy slanted brush, I have one from It Cosmetics that I love.
My favorite blush brush is the Artis Elite Oval 7 – no other brush performs for me like this one – I love it! (FYI for Artis lovers, Artis has a new palm brush that looks very interesting for applying foundation.)
Oddly for blush I really love my budget friendly brushes and rarely use my high end ones. I’d recommend the new Ecco tools sheer finish blush brush and the ELF blush brush (black handles). I like them so much I bought a couple extras. The ELF brush even comes w a plastic cover to help keep its shape when I thrown into my make up bag. I also really love the elf small stippling brush.
It may be that I use pigmented blushes, have oily skin and a round shaped face but whatever the reason those are the brushes that seem to work best…I get an even application and a beautiful sheerness – hopefully others find them helpful too.
I like to push the blush boundaries as far as what I supposedly can and cannot wear, so a very large, fluffy powder brush which diffuses the most stubborn of colors. Right now that happens to be an old Face Values powder brush. It’s not fancy, but it works.

I thought Tom Ford Cheek brush 06 was a good buy for the not pigmented blushes, but this sheds. So SUQQU still wins.
I am actually clueless about good blush brushes. I have been trying to find a good one for a couple years now. During the Sephora VIB sale, I bought the Sephora Angled blush brush and Sephora small blush and contour brush. I have very dry cheeks and I like to wear soft finish blushes (Current favourites are the MJ air blush). I am willing to invest in a nice blush brush if anyone has a recommendation for me? Please?
I’m still looking for a holy grail – funny enough my current favorite, despite owning some very high end ones, is one I grabbed off Aliexpress for less than $1. I ended up ordering 2 more so I can use it for bronzer and have a spare when one is drying.
I do also love the Elf stipple brush in black love, love it got a back up of it and also the WetnWild ones in white they are so very soft I use the stipple brush but also the bigger fluffy one for my blush it lets me apply softly in case the blush packs its punch and I have pale skin. Also have a couple of kabuki brushes one I found from TJ Max turned out great! This one has rather tougher bristles. And one huge squared one from Max Factor looks like a brush meant for a horse but is so soft and awesome I’ll get a second one if I see it again it has a pink metal base. I have many different ones also a set from Sonia Kashuk found at clearance at Target it is soft and fluffy I use the big one for bronzer/powder/to diffuse highliter over blush. and keep my stifle smaller one for my oval face not too big with high cheeks they are a God sent. Love brushes!
I love the the Sigma duo fiber blush brush. It’s dense base layer holds firm enough to allow for precision application, yet the top layer of the duo fibers still delivers a nice diffuse finish. That’s a win-win for me!
My favourite blush brush is the Sephora Collection Pro Angled Blush brush. It’s so soft and slightly dense, and it blends like a dream.
I need a rec for a tiny blush brush! Bring them on!
The Chikuhodo R-C2 is the smallest blush brush I own and I love it.
WG Air, or if the product is stiffer, Zoeva luxe cheek. Though I do use It and RT as well.
