Bobbi Brown Peony & Python Collection: Lilac

Even though Bobbi Brown just released her new Rich Lip Color formula, there’s a new and limited edition shade included in the Peony & Python Collection — Lilac Rich Lip Color Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.), which is described as a “light pink tint.” When I swatched it, Lilac is a soft plummy pink with cool undertones, and when worn, it is semi-opaque and looks more pink than plum.

my thoughts on the formula: In general, these are really comfortable to wear, with their semi-matte finishes, creamy but lightweight texture, and rich color coverage. I felt like Lilac was a little less moisturizing than the other shades I have tried within the new range. It lasted just under four hours on me and is scent- and taste-free.

Do you think the clarins lilac pink lipstick could compare to this? I looove these colors but I feel like they look the same…

Gorgeous colour Christine, but does it turn colour with extended wear? I’m finding peach/coral and some pinks tend to turn colour (which is unfortunate). Any companies that you found stay truer to their original colour? PS. LoVeD the Chanel Tehran (and prompted this question). Thanks!

I tried Lilac on in a department store a couple of weeks ago nad it looked great on me, an NC45. I feel the same way about it as you described it Christine in your Final Thoughts section. Although I wouldn’t have desribed it as a dupe for MAC Sweetie; even in their tubes they look different from each other.

This Lilac lipstick isn’t a light purple/lavender-y type of lipstick to me at all, but it’s just a nice light, semi-opaque but not pale or pasty pink lipstick. Too bad it’s not permanent.
