Sneak Peek: MAC Cremeblend Blush

Since it’s been awhile since these were originally out, I’m still testing out the wear, but I will have full photos, swatches, and reviews for you tomorrow. 🙂 Please, please, please hold all questions until I’ve actually had the chance to review them, at which time I will also suggest dupes. I can’t answer questions until I’m prepared, which means I have to finish testing the product, do cheek swatches, etc. I hope you understand 🙂

See more photos & swatches!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I know you are waiting to review them and answer questions, but i’m just requesting at the time you do a review that you include a comparison to the creme blushes that were recently discontinued, because I really did not like the texture of those! That would help me out, thank you!

Catherine Avatar

They’re definitely less sticky (actually not sticky at all) my MAC counter still has the old ones and the MA said they got the new ones in and was nice enough to let me swatch and compare.

i am really not liking the colours! ladyblush looks completely different! luckily i live in the uk and theyre still instock so im gonna definately pick up ladyblush before it gets sold out. something special looks like the only one i would consider buying but will wait till u post the proper reviews. thanks for the sneak peak!

Tiffany Avatar

Oooh I’m happy to see that newly formulated Ladyblush seems to look like the blushcreme. The description had me a little frightened over here 😛

If I get too many, I’ll just stop doing sneak peeks & wait to post all at once! It’s just frustrating because I’m not ready to review, and thus not really equipped to answer questions, but I know that some want to see swatches as soon as possible – always hard to balance both sides.

AHHHH!!!! I started to jump in my chair when I saw this! :DD So excited! 🙂 Thanks Christine SO much for being able to post these so early 🙂 It means alot to me, you just made my night! 🙂

Why is there so much condensation on 2 of the blushes? Were they under a light or is that just the way the picture was? Just curious.

Brit Wit and Posey look lovely though!

I think that’s a complaint some users had with the “old” formulation – the cremeblend blushes would “sweat”, especially in warm weather. I’ve never tried them either – I’m happy with the MAC powder blushes – but was regretting it when I saw they were discontinued and sold out online. Then I saw that my in store MAC counter still has plenty of them.

Becca Avatar

I’m so sad they discontinued their Blushcreme formula. I absolutely love them; Brit Whit is my favorite everyday blush, paired with Coygirl, it’s perfect! I didn’t like the Cremeblend blushes with the Lilyland collection and I’m assuming these are the same. Blah…so disappointing.

rygurl Avatar

was their a problem with the old blushcreme formula? as in, was something in the old formula dangerous? because i believe i have posey and i do like it, it’d be a shame to have to throw it out

Nice colours but unfortunately I don’t think creme type blushes work for oily skin plus I live in a tropical weather so definitely a no no. What’s more these cream blushes don’t have a long shelf life, if you don’t store them properly they will melt, can already see the oil on the surface in the pics.So again I ‘ll pass this collection!

KT Avatar

It actually looks like condensation on the top.

I totally disagree that oily skins can’t wear creme blushes. As long at you have a great base and set with powder, I can’t see why they wouldn’t work. I’m a huge fan of creme blushes and I live in the tropics and have never had a problem. I find they’re easier to use when they’re warm anyway. Never had any trouble with my products going off or melting either, but I can’t say that I’ve used MAC’s blushes before, so it might be a different story.

Thanks for the preview! I’ll be interested to see how these compare formula-wise to the old ones. I found Blushcremes way too sticky for my liking. I’m sure there will be lots of chatter about it : )

Vvn Avatar

so.. Mac discontinued their cremeblushes, so they could relaunch them as permanent with 3 of what may be the exact same as the old ones… *confused*

Christine Avatar

They wanted to launch a new formula – but why should they discontinue colors if they feel they’re popular or solid shades to have? I’d rather MAC reinstate colors than rename them or discontinue them altogether. The formula is completely different!

Vvn Avatar

Ah.. I’ve seen the new swatches.. that the 3 colours already existing have slightly changed ;O I’m going to have to get a backup of Lilicent before it leaves forever!

Thanks for the sneak peak Christine! I can’t believe how much work you have to do! Looking forward to the review, but no rush 😀

I love sneak peaks, but if they get to be too stressful, I’m pretty sure most of your readers can wait the time that it takes (or at least I can 😀 )
