Clarins Red Prodige Rouge Prodige Lipstick
Clarins Rouge Prodige Lipstick: Red Prodige
Clarins Red Prodige Rouge Prodige Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, tomato red with a high shine finish and nearly opaque color. The color glides onto lips effortlessly, and it leaves lips with this rich, vibrant color that seems to melt on lips.
About the Formula: Rouge Prodige has a shiny, glossy finish, and it doesn’t feel like the traditional long-wearing lipstick does. There is nothing drying about it when you apply it, because it applies like a thin gloss or a gloss/lipstick hybrid. The color pay off is excellent, though, and really delivers opaque color with a lightweight feel. It doesn’t transfer much when drinking from a glass, but for whatever reason, the wear doesn’t extend past four hours. It is a comfortable lipstick to wear, because it doesn’t cling or dry lips out (but while it has a glossy feel when applied, I do not find it moisturizing). There is a faint sweetened berry scent that is detectable but not overpowering (and doesn’t read synthetic or syrupy sweet), and there was no noticeable taste.

FINAL THOUGHTS: If it stayed true to its claim of long-lasting lip color, I’d definitely give it a higher score. It’s a great lipstick, but it does fall short on wear (four hours, which is average for me). This kind of red works best on neutral to warm skin tones, because of the slight orange base.

That’s a nice red on you in those pics Christine!
I bought the nude shade of this but had to return it. The scent was not necessarily overpowering but it just really bothered me and it never died down.
It is a pretty color but for $24 I will stick to Nars because their lipsticks are so moisturizing; however, I like the glossiness of this lipstick.
That’s pretty don’t think I own any Clarins products. Might have to check this out, but I do own Cockney and several orange red lipsticks
