Oh my lord, all of the cheek palettes are sooo gorgeous! The sheer highlighting duo looks rather different in your promo pic than on the TF website- it kind of looks like they turned the color saturation way up in theirs. Regardless I’m sure it will be stunning.

I have peach and bronze from previous summers and as someone with hooded and slightly oily lids, I have to wear a heavy duty primer for this to not crease on me. I personally use Maybelline Tattoo in taupe. But as long as I use this, it lasts all day on me.

“Clutch-sized,” eh? Reminds me of when real estate/apartment ads say “cozy” to indicate it’s the size of a closet!

I do have some curiosity about Young Adonis, although I don’t plan to go into the store saying “I’d like to sample a Young Adonis, please.” Those double shadows actually seem like a relatively good value for TF, but most have too much orange tinge for my skintone. I have a gazillion taupes, of course, but a really rich, complex one is still precious. We shall see!

I read that the cream part of young adonis is actually Platinum from his regular line, but I don’t know for sure… it would make sense though, since most of the other duo’s contain one of the “original” creams.

I’d love the new solar exposure as my birthday pressie to myself or rather from the dogs. I have the warm and the cool and I love them, and I saw the swatches on Really Ree of this one and it looks even better than the warm. This whole collection is just bad for me, bite sized products that look meh, but are beautiful swatched, a fantastic little kabuki brush, soft gold highlighters…. thank goodness the blushes I didn’t like and the bronzer/blush I have from last year!

LaMaitresse Avatar

Lol! It’s very British, you get Christmas and birthday presents from all the animals! My mother would be furious if there wasn’t presents from the dogs at Christmas!

I have the new highlighting duo in Reflects Gilt and the cream and powder eye color in Sun Worship they are both beautiful. A lot are re-promotes from last year that I already own. The only one I don’t have which is gorgeous is The Afternooner I like it better than the newer version Soleil Afterglow which appears darker.

Young Adonis cream and powder eye color is the Platinum shade that Tom Ford has released several times except it has a powder shadow on top. I already own several Platinum shadows so I passed. Also, Sun Worship is the same Guilt shadow that he released a year or two ago except it comes with a powder shadow on top. You can’t find Guilt anymore on any website so I did buy one of the Sun Worship shadows which is stunning.

It’s interesting that a few of these items are up on Sephora’s website already but are not listed as LE. I just got the Solar Exposure palette, but also want the new highlighter duo, blush duo and the two new eye duos…???

I am curious about the Young Adonis taupe cream/ powder shadow. The cream looks like TF Platinum to me. (and I like it).
I tossed my Bicoastal blush duo in the drawer long before summer was over last year. (never to be used again) and last summer’s lip sheers were disappointing. I pass on everything this year except that shadow.
I still fondly remember the TF Pink Glow palette. (my first TF purchase)So stylish and wearable blush and shadows.!! Since its release , seems TF separated the blush and shadow products to make more $$$, except for the $155 Solar palette—a budget buster for a woman who adds to her beauty collection monthly. (ok, perhaps weekly) .
Nothing would make me happier than TF releasing an identical palette in that style each summer– varying the shades in it each year.
Well, nothing except lowering its price to under $95.

I sort of like Solar Exposure, I doubt I’ll like it enough to buy it though. It is the only product , apart from the taupe eyeshadow duo I find interesting. I guess I’m not that into TF. I guess I’m in minority, but the only two products I have from TF hasn’t wowed me one bit to be honest. I guess I picked the wrong ones 🙂
