ColourPop Apple of My Eye Pressed Powder Eye Duo Review, Photos, Swatches
Apple of My Eye
ColourPop Apple of My Eye Pressed Powder Eye Duo ($10.00 for 0.10 oz.) contains a light-medium pink and a rich, magenta purple. The two shades complemented each other well, as they could greate a nice gradient while still offering nice contrast between the two shades. Both shades were pigmented, easy to blend, and wore fairly well. This duo is limited edition and part of the brand’s Valentine’s Day collection, but ColourPop is releasing them as singles today.

Say I Do
Say I Do is a light-medium pink with subtle, neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had good color payoff paired with a soft, velvety texture. I felt like the formula used on this shade had more substance and less powderiness compared to the brand’s mattes that I’ve been testing for the last month or so. The color wore well for seven and a half hours before fading on me.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

143
143 is vibrant, medium-dark magenta purple with warmer, pink undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was fantastic–incredibly rich and true-to-pan. It had a smooth, soft, and blendable texture, and for this type of color, it was impressive. I noticed fading after eight hours of wear.

I desperately need 143!!!
It’s a bold shade!
I doubled down on 143 and ordered 2 of them today! Thanks so much for getting this review out so quickly !
Might pop over to buy the singles today….. love both.
Yay! They are launching some new ones, too, apparently!
These little Valentines are so cute!
They are!
I just received my CP order yesterday, and I must say that I’m very impressed by these shadows. I’ll definitely be picking up a few more.
So glad you got them in time for Valentine’s Day!!
I only like 143 from this duo, so I wont be getting it, but BOY is it pretty!!
They released it as a single today!
143 is the purple-violet of my dreams! Although I do have some good ones, like MUFE Electric Purple and UD Urban with Jilted, those are not technically deemed “eye safe”. Haven’t had any issues with the 3 I mentioned, but it sure would be nice to have one that is, and looks even brighter.
143 is stunning!
The 143 shade is gorgeous!
Agreed!
Wow, I love 143 and don’t have any of the three dupes so I think I can justify this on my low buy! I haven’t tried this CP formula yet so I am anxious to try it out.
143 will be mine!
Those are pretty great!
OMG THAT PURPLE
143 is very impressive! I think I gasped lol
What does the name mean? I don’t get it
