Dolce & Gabbana Does Coral for Fall

Dolce & Gabbana Cosmopolitan (237) Classic Cream Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a vibrant coral with a softer orange undertone–it’s almost a true coral. It has a creamy finish and feel accompanied by a glossy shine. It applies easily and evenly with opaque color in a single layer. This shade would be flattering on warmer skin tones, especially those with yellow undertones.

I get an average of four hours of wear with Dolce & Gabbana’s Classic Cream Lipsticks, and I find them comfortable to wear, but I would not describe them as moisturizing (but not drying either). All Dolce & Gabbana’s lipsticks are heavily rose-scented, and I do consider them some of the heaviest scented products I’ve come across. If you aren’t keen on roses, you may find these too strong.

  • Product: 28/30
  • Value: 8/10
  • Ease of Use: 4/5
  • Packaging: 4/5

RECOMMENDATION: Though it feels like a color that is really more suited for summer, Dolce & Gabbana seem to think otherwise, which gives me an excuse to rock coral even as the temperatures drop.  This is a shade that would work best on warmer skin tones, even better on darker skin tones.

I think this is really pretty and looks nice on you!

I think this kind of orange/true coral that is bright but yet slightly muted, is the answer to the bright orange lip trend. It’s just more wearable. However I wouldn’t spend this much on a l/s I wouldn’t wear much.

I do have Vegas Volt, so I’ll have to try that out again. (I’ve forgotten how it looks on me lol).

I only have one D and G lipstick, and it’s the shine or sheer formula in Soiree. Which looks like a natural pink lip color but in the tube looks like a slight pink coral, but the finish and way it feels on the lips is amazing. It’s like a lipgloss and a lip balm , but as a lipstick.

Oh my!! Gorgeous color, very flattering on you!
I’d feel great in this one, unfortunately D&G makeup is not available in my country… bleh… 🙁

AAH I LOVE THIS. I don’t see why different colours have to be for different seasons. I understand a red lip is festive for the winter season, but when it’s so dreary outside and I don’t bother with too much eye makeup because it’s -30 out in a snowstorm and it will just come off, I love a nice happy-coloured lip!

Holy cow! I doubt I could pull it off but that is beautiful! Christine, for real, you need to put THAT in your regular lipstick lineup. That color is stunning on you.

Luuuurrvvvley colour. I have Vegas Volt on my wishlist and I imediately thought of that colour when I saw this so I think when I next to go MAC I will have to pick up that colour.
