Magnetic Mauve (04)
Lancome Magnetic Mauve (04) Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer ($22.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium rose pink with warm undertones and lighter pink and gold pearl. It had medium coverage, so it fell rather short of its full coverage claim. The texture was tacky, light-medium to medium in weight (definitely noticeable on), but it didn’t slide around. The gloss stayed put for five hours and maintained its glossy shine throughout the wear. It was moisturizing over time as well.
The Le Metallique formula is supposed to have “full-coverage” with a “rich, creamy texture” that is hydrating and long-wearing. First and foremost, if you do not like tacky gloss, you’ll want to stay far away from these; the formula is very tacky and is a thicker, denser formula. They are longer wearing as a result, though, and most shades fell within four to six hours of wear for me and retain a really high-shine, high-gloss finish that almost looks wet and lasts throughout the wear time. Most shades were semi-opaque to opaque, but as the formula was thicker, I would hesitate to add more product to get more coverage. They seemed to have no discernible scent or taste to me.

Rouge Magma (05)
Lancome Rouge Magma (05) Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer ($22.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark ruby red with fine, ruby pearl. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied somewhat evenly, but there were a few areas where the color was visibly sheerer (particularly along the inner portion of my bottom lip, where the gloss did not seem to want to apply as well). It lasted for over six hours on me, though, which I suspect is due to the tackier texture. The formula felt hydrating to me.

Meteoric Violet (06)
Lancome Meteoric Violet (06) Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer ($22.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a bright, medium-dark purple with fine, violet pearl. It seemed promising swatched, but on the lips, it ended up having only medium coverage that did not apply evenly and pulled into my lip lines. I think it looked better in person, from a normal viewing distance, as some of the glossiness minimized the visibility of its lackluster application. The gloss had a thicker texture that was noticeably tacky, so I imagine it will not appeal to everyone. On me, the gloss wore nicely for five hours and was moisturizing.

I don’t know — I’m interested sort of, I like Magnetic Mauve, and I like a good sparkly glosses every now and then — but the metallic dimension reminds me of junior high school and I don’t know why. I’m going to check them out in store if the opportunity presents.
Hopefully, they are more impressive in person 🙂
They have such a beautiful, wet shine!
They look SOOO wet on the lips, and that glossiness lasts for awhile!
Meteoric Violet has some flaws, but it’s such a stunning color and so hard to dupe, putting on my wishlist
I think Lancome should have marketed them as more medium coverage, but they are pretty fun!
These all look stunning on! Very hard to see their flaws, tbh. I am loving that Violet shade for a bright , fun shade for spring! The Mauve shade would make a good nude lipgloss for every day, I would think. And that Rouge Magma is out of this world full-on GLAM!
They do! I don’t think they are quite as pigmented as Lancome says they are (overall), but they have a really cool, wet-like finish that I like. As long as the tackiness isn’t a dealbreaker, they’re worth checking out!
The colours are fun but I don’t know if I’m that interested in the range – doesn’t seem that much more different, than let’s say Colourpop? I also don’t like tackiness in a lipgloss and I think on its own, that’s a huge factor to stay away from this!
Damn the tackiness!
I love the look of Rouge Magma, I don’t know if I could get past the tackiness though. Bummer. Thanks for the review.
I like Magnetic Mauve. And I don’t even mind the finish 🙂
Meteoric Violet has its flaws, but I’m tempted to look past them for such a unique shade.
Rouge Mama is so pretty! Glad it rated well!
I love the look of these but I’m not too sure about that tackiness. I will definitely have to swatch and feel it but otherwise they look like something I like. lol
Haha, “lackluster application” – these certainly do not lack luster!
Magnetic Mauve is pretty, but…’mauve’? Really??
