MAC Shadescents Collection for Holiday 2016
MAC Shadescents Collection for Holiday 2016
Scent and lips create irresistible chemistry with M·A·C Shadescents, six new perfumes inspired by our most iconic Lipstick shades. Lady Danger thrills with notes of wild cherry and Ruby Woo goes bold with whiffs of deep red leather. Notes of saffron, incense smoke, and cordovan leather surprise and intoxicate in My Heroine. Candy Yum-Yum conjures tropical fruit and cotton candy and Velvet Teddy calls forth wild honey and creamy musk. Crème d’Nude evokes the vibrant sexiness of naked skin.

MAC Shadescents Collection for Holiday 2016
After having purchased MAC’s Air of Style (which smelled like hairspray and rotting compost), I am not buying another MAC fragrance again unless I smell it in person.
I hated Air Of Style, but I have loved other Mac Fragrances. Turquatic & MV2 (Please, please bring back MV2) are 2 of my favorite fragrances ever.
Seriously, none of these sound appealing. I’d have to agree with commentor Michelle’s assessment of Air of Style.
There’s no way I’d spend that much on a perfume without smelling it, I wish they’d offer fragrance samples with orders because Creme d’Nude and Velvet Teddy sound right up my alley
What the…what the?!? Perfumes crafted from lipstick shades supposed personalities or some such nonsense? Just weird! I’d need to try one on before I’d EVER.
I’d have to smell them!
If Velvet Teddy smells anything like the Naked Honey scent from 2009 or whenever, then I will seriously cry from happiness. I’ve been rationing my last bottle of Naked Honey for the last couple of years.
I work for MAC and so excited about these! I agree, air of style smells like sh*t but these were crafted by the help of the number one fragrance intelligence in the world and smell like $1000!!! Please smell in person before judging, I can’t believe it’s MAC! Ruby Woo is a popular scent, smells expensive and spicy.
Hi Christine, do you know if the lipsticks in this special packaging will be available for purchase individually? or is it like a set with the perfume bottle? Velvet Teddy is my holy grail lipstick and i’d be nice to have it with limited edition packaging 🙂
They listed them as part of the launch with the photos of them that way, so I would imagine so? They did not provide any set pricing.
I may be in the minority here, but I love this concept!!! I’ve never had a MAC fragrance but I really want to try Velvet Teddy!
I love this idea, but I agree with the others…I’d want to smell it in person first.
If these are as well done as MV2 and MV3 then they are definitely worth checking out. I will wait until they’re at a counter where I can sniff them in person.
I want to sniff a few of them in person!! some sound really interesting!!!
I’m on a fragrance hunt right now!! I’v been wearing my every day perfume, every day for the past 7 years, I think!! SO I want some change!!
As with all scents I’ll need to try them on. I sort of like the idea.
Fun idea – different – but I am so picky, picky about the fragrance I wear because a heavy fragrance (think COCO Chanel) gives me a headache.
What an interesting idea; I like it! I love Velvet Teddy and the Wild Honey fragrance sounds lovely, so I’ll definitely look at these 🙂
i LOVE LOVE LOVE this concept! and I’m so happy they’re permanent. Because maybe I’d like to try them all! I already have Creme d’Nude and Heroine lipstick. would love to get the matching scents but, i’m thinking I’ll go for Candy Yum Yum perfume first.
