It’s cute, and I love chocolate, including the smell of it, but I don’t need this set. I have one Too Faced holiday set (Everything Nice) that have all of these colors and more. Seems like there’s not enough colors here for $ 58
Cute, but Too Faced always has the most ridiculous and impractical packaging for their holiday sets!
It’s cute for sure!
Nice selection, but pretty tf repetitive. Fun, should one wish to display. Kind of too cosmetainment for me. I find tf to be pretty much the leader in cosmetainment. Which is a lot of why I don’t go there. Bulky annoys the wazoo out of me. Grab the box cutter and drag out a Z. Could be a great gift for the right person.
It’s the morning and I’m clear-headed and feeling sarcastic, so I’m going to make sure that I don’t say anything like: “Congratulations on all your new, unique colors, Too Faced! I can see you put a whole lot of effort into making this holiday release different from every other holiday release you’ve had.”
Not going to say it.
Seriously though, my lukewarm humor isn’t meant as an insult to anyone who likes these. I’m just super bored of seeing similar colors all the time.
? that was very well done for not saying anything, Nicole.
I get where you’re coming from. I feel like holiday makeup is often marketed as “give basics as gifts!” rather than “here’s a delightful new collection.” Nothing wrong with that but TF does that with most of their palettes. It kind of frustrates me.
Lol! Thank you, Sarah!
Yes, exactly! I honestly don’t understand why companies do that. It’s not as if there’s any shortage of basics during the rest of the year. They really do. It frustrates me too. I resent the implication that a company can pretty much take what they offer to us all the time, put it in a Christmas themed package with cute names and expect people to buy it. I think what irks me about that the most is that it doesn’t seem like they’re out to present anything new to the people who have already invested in their brand. I mean, sure, have a palette that’s a budget friendly deal and holds all your brand basics, but have another release that holds new product so a person’s only choice isn’t “a palette with the same bronzer I already have three of” or nothing. Where is the creativity and the special “extra” something that makes it worth it to spend your money on these products during the holiday season? It can’t all be in the packaging.*
Of course, watch me say all of that and have TF come out with something really interesting in a few weeks. I’ve said it, so now it has to happen.
*Sorry this is so rant-y. It is now very late, my clear head is gone and my sarcasm left along with it.
I agree with you Sarah. Too Faced seems all about the Christmas packaging and less about the actual product. The products themselves are never new or innovative. They seem to always be the same thing from the year before, in a different (yet similar) package. They appeal to me as *gifts* for people that are younger/just getting into makeup, but aren’t something I would ever purchase or want for myself.
This looks adorable! I have their Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette, and I absolutely love it.
I’m all chocolated out. Have two of the palettes and the smell at this point has definitely become off putting for me. Still, the original and Bon Bon are easy peasy palettes for me.
I hear ya, Wendy, so am I! For a different reason, I too am thoroughly sick of TF chocolate this, chocolate that crap!
I’m hoping my next door neighbor isn’t home and therefore heard the vivid blue streak leave my lips upon my reading the part about this being “Cocoa Infused”!!! So, TF finally, after several bad years, puts out a rather pretty looking holiday palette…and they RUIN it with that SODIUM SACCHARIN! Aaarrrrghhhh!!!!! WHY??? ???
Cute, but I guess I have dupes of most of these. For someone new to Too Faced it would make a nice gift.
Not unique enough for me, but it’s cute. Last year’s holiday palettes were pretty awful quality, so I think this will be a definite pass for me.
After the disaster that was their holiday palette last year, I’m not going to buy it until I can swatch it.
I think this is a great gift for someone new to mid-range makeup. It combines cute packaging with a tried and true formula. Gimmicky, yes, but think of it from the perspective of a young person who doesn’t have every chocolate, peach and peanut butter palette out there. It’s a nice introduction to the line and it includes shades that can make a wide variety of looks. I think this will be a fun, usable gift for the intended audience.
