Hey, it’s my first comment here 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain
Favorite scent for autumn? Gingerbread and pumkin spice
Go-to lip color for autumn? Red
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? More lipstick, red, pink muted,… more vibrant. And more mask for my skin 🙂

Courtney Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/light with neutral undertones. Medium brown hair & brown eyes.
Favorite scent for autumn? Hmmm, I guess James Bond 007 cologne. (I don’t really wear scents that often, and I am not at all picky about them. This just happens to be a large sample I received years ago, and still use).
Go-to lip color for autumn? My go-to year round is NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien. But this past month I’ve been wearing NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick IN Lace Detail a lot.
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I add in much more moisturizer (and I apply it multiple times during the day), and I tend to wear foundation less often. I have eczema, and it always starts to flair up in the fall/winter.

Alice Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain

Favorite scent for autumn? YSL Black Opium, Atelier Orange Sanguine, TokyoMilk Bulletproof, Bath Sabbath Mistress for Christmas.

Go-to lip color for autumn? I don’t really change my makeup looks per season, but for family Thanksgiving I tend to do a look with a warm taupe/dark brown smokey eye and a deep berry or burgundy lipstick.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I start moisturizing more and with heavier lotions. I do masks and night creams more often.

Ceil Avatar

Skintone/fair/blonde hair w colored streaks

My favorite day of the week! Survey Day!

Your skin tone/coloring: Dark/ Deep NW50

Favorite scent for autumn? I don’t have a fall perfume, but my favorite Bath and Body Works Candles are Leaves, Marshmallow Fireside, and Pumkin Pecan Waffles.

Go-to lip color for autumn? Plum, Burgundy, and Nudes

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? Although I have hella oily skin, I tuck away my gel based moisturizers and use one that’s more hydrating.

AB Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, warm, blue eyes, light brown hair with copper highlights

Favorite scent for autumn? Bulgari red tea perfume

Go-to lip color for autumn? medium red or red coral tones — today it’s NARS Risky Business gloss

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? somewhat more gentle cleansers and toners since summer oiliness has subsided

Tammy Avatar

My skin tone: medium warm (MAC NC 30)

Favorite fall fragrance: Bvlgari’s Jasmine Noir

Go to lip color for autumn: Oh, there are many! Right now I am consistently reaching for NARS Audacious lip colors in Shirley, Audrey and Mona.

My skin is less oily in autumn, which means I can use more moisturizing face creams and luminous foundations, as opposed to the matte foundations and oil-free lotions that I tend to use in the summer months.

Stephanie Avatar

Skin-Warm, medium to light, yellow undertone
Favourite Scent for autumn-Elizabeth Arden,Red Door
Favourite lip colour-berry, specifically MAC Liptensity in Cordovan
As fall starts, my skin becomes a bit dryer and I change to a more intensive moisturizer for night, and start to add the occasional oil treatment at night as well.

Nancy T Avatar

Your skintone/coloring: Medium w/olive undertones MAC NC37-40 or Tarte Med. Honey, deep brunette, teal-green eyes w/gold flecks.

Favorite scent for autumn: I begin wearing my somewhat heavier scents like TF Black Orchid, Avon x Christian La Croix Absynthe right around the beginning of November. Just too warm out before that!

Go-to lip color for autumn: Rich reds, deep berries and plums!

How does your skincare routine change for autumn: More use of exfoliating agents, deep moisture masks, and using a humidifier overnight in my bedroom!

Kate Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair and neutral-cool

Favorite scent for autumn? Tom Ford Tuscan Leather

Go-to lip color for autumn? Medium to deep reds and deep berry shades

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? It doesn’t change a lot, but, since my fallback look is intense lips with a neutral eye, I’d say it gets darker and a bit more muted in the autumn.

Lea Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Very Fair/Cool
Favorite scent for autumn? Chantecaille Kalimantan or Jo Malone Midnight Black Tea
Go-to lip color for autumn? I still use my pinky-mauve colors a lot, but I add in more plums
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I change up my skincare; I’ll start adding in different weight moisturizers (though I don’t need that quite yet (we’re still in the high 70’s in DC/Virginia) and change my cleanser toward something more normal and slightly hydrating. I like more oil control for the humid summers. I don’t tend to change up my color products that much though – I can only think of two things I typically do, switch from a bronze tint primer to one on the opalescent side and put any summer bright lip products away. Not everything, but the ones the feel summer to me for whatever you can make of that!

Mariella Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Favorite scent for autumn? Sisley Eau du Soir or Clinique Aromatics Elixir (and patchouli essential oil)
Go-to lip color for autumn? Lately it has been the new Shiseido lipstick in Bloodstone but I also adore MAC Dubonnet
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? more or richer moisturizer; gentler, less drying cleansing; I’m more likely to wear foundation and I love wearing darker blushes like Nars Goulue, UD Rapture and 2 great oldies from MAC – Frankly Scarlet and Conjure Up.

Blue Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: cool, light

Favorite scent for autumn? I pretty much love the same scents year round, but Histoires de Parfums Ambre 114 is a new favorite that is very season appropriate. Tuscan Leather is my all day every day bombshell favorite, and it’s also a nice, warming scent for fall. <3

Go-to lip color for autumn? Deep plum or death warmed over gray-taupes like MAC Stone or Bite Thistle. On the soft and wearable side of things, Charlotte Tilbury Bond Girl is my fave this month.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? Heavier, more consistent daily moisturizing, occasional moisturizing masks, and gentle exfoliation with a muslin cloth as needed to control flaky dryness. Dryness was never a concern until last year or the year before, but now it's definitely, definitely a thing the second the weather has changed. I'm also acne prone, so it's a very tricky process to find products that are heavy duty enough to combat the dryness without causing angry cystic breakouts. My hair an skin are both at their shiny and luscious best in warm, mega humid climates, but I'm not sure it's worth relocating over. lol

Shannon. N Avatar

My skintone/colouring: I am a SUPER YELLOW toned MAC NC24ish. I usually just say NC25, Because NC20 is WAAAAY too stark light on me, but NC25 is just a SMIDGE/HAIR too dark if I don’t bronze/blend down my neck. My neck is like a banana, it’s sooo yellow!!

My favourite scent for Fall: I wear LUSH’s LUST perfume almost every day, no matter the season. But In the Fall I like to pull out Avon’s Haiku! It’s spicy and deeper, so you only need one spritz. But it’s so so me 😀

Go to lip colour for fall: My go to fall lip for the past 3 years has been MAC Rebel. BUT I’m cheating on Rebel and have been wearing a LOT of Colourpop’s ultra satin lip in Prim!! Prim just goes so so well with my Dark (Almost black!) brown hair, and medium/light skin!

How does my beauty routine change for fall: I’m full coverage/matte finish gal in the summer. But in the Fall/winter I go for more sheer, natural foundation/coverage in the fall/winter!

Also, i’m a Canadian gal, who lives in a part of Southern Ontario, where we have snow from October to MAY. So I’m always kinda winter-proofing my beauty routine 😛 I have to pull out the more moisturizing hair masks/oils as I have super curly hair that goes past my waist. I also use more moisturizing face masks instead of oil absorbing ones!

Shannon. N Avatar

It’s so beautiful!! My favourite #lazygirl way to wear it, is to buff a layer of it into my lips with a finger, THEN go over that with the lipstick bullet.

That way it stains my lips and I don’t have to reapply after I eat 😀

Shannon. N Avatar

I get asked this/told this so often ahaha!!

As I mentioned, I’m from a more “cold” place, so our summers aren’t REALLY that hot!! In my part of Canada, the hottest it’s EVER been in my whole life, is 40 Degrees (Celsius!!) which is a record high! It’s normally like, late 20’s to low 30’s here!!

I also, because of a medical condition (PCOS) Had HORRIBLE, SEVERE cystic acne, and it flares up in the summer!! So I always slather on the sunblock and a matte fuller coverage foundation and i’m good to go!! :D!

Also, in the winter my skin is dryer, more combo then full on oily. And I looove the look of being out in the cold with luminous, natural skin!!

Stacey Avatar

Omg my papa can’t stand the Lush Lust but I adore it, it’s defo one of my HG perfumes and also Karma I adore that too, the scent to me smells like and reminds me of cola bottles mmm love both of those both defo top HGs of mine!! <3

Shannon. N Avatar

Oh my gosh! so funny!! My father hates LUST because “it smells too sexy” And i’m always reminding my father i’m a grown women and can wear whatever perfume I want LOL!!!

I’v never tried KARMA!! i’ll have to sniff it next time I’m near a lush!!! 😀

LindaP Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light to medium warm

Favorite scent for autumn? Right now it’s Jo Malone’s Mimosa & Cardamom. I only have a sample and am putting it on my holiday list.

Go-to lip color for autumn? Right now it’s only Givenchy #103 Brun Createur. It could be dead of winter or scorching outside, that is currently the only color I’m grabbing. Goes with everything these days.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? Not much. Maybe more full treatment eye makeup now that it’s cooled down a bit.

Deborah S. Avatar

Skin Tone: Very pale/fair with cool pink/peach undertones.
Favorite Perfume: Just about anything with a hint of tobacco and vanilla. I also really like Tainted Love #62 and several men’s cologne.
Favorite Lipstick: Deep berry/plum, think Charlotte Tilbury Glastonberry.
Skin Routine: My skin is very dry normally and the winter’s of Montana just triple that dryness. My hands, face and feet become scaly and chapped raw. I really up the moisturizer, I carry moisturizer with me all the time. I try to maintain really good systemic hydration because if you are not drinking enough water it pretty much defeats the purpose of moisturizing. I use masks a few times a week and focus on very hydrating masks. I have been trying a lot of Korean products and have been using the moisturizing masks. I also use masks that are left on all night. I do gently exfoliate away any dead skin cells related to dryness so that moisturizing works better. I try to use more hydrating foundations and like several cushion compacts.

Erica Avatar

Fair, NC 20, brown hair and eyes

Favorite Autumn scent: Elizabeth and James Black Nirvana or Viva la Juicy

Favorite Fall Lipcolor : MAC Velvet Teddy

How does your beauty routine change for fall: it doesn’t really. For makeup, maybe I wear more matte or darker lip colors. For skincare: it doesn’t change at all

Rachel R. Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite scent for autumn? Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black and Pacifica Mexican Cocoa.

Go-to lip color for autumn? I don’t have a single go-to, and I wear shades regardless of season. Right now I’m really loving Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Seismic and Vintage Vault Vice Lipsticks in Roach and Plague; Nyx Wicked Lippies in Trickery and Cold-hearted are fall/winter favorites; any shade of red.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? With the cooler weather and reduced allergies, I go for heavier eye makeup again, and heavier makeup in general. Because it rains a lot here in fall and winter, I wear waterproof mascara more often. I apply hand lotion even more frequently. Indoor heating is awful for dry skin and my eczema.

Fran Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: between fair and light; cool undertones with warm features
Favorite scent for autumn? I haven’t found a scent I like in recent years, but I’m starting to like Tom Ford Vert d’Encens, which seems like a great scent for autumn.
Go-to lip color for autumn? dark berries, cool plums, blues, greys… NARS Fanny, Bobbi Brown Brocade, MAC Halsey, Tom Ford Stavros, Ardency Inn Black is Blue come immediately to mind…
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? as the weather gets colder and the indoor heat comes on, I switch to richer moisturizers, eye cream, hand cream, lip balm, switch out my primers… add hyaluronic acid, try to use glycolic acid at least once a week… all to try to keep my skin from getting dehydrated!

Fran Avatar

It’s one of my top two most flattering lipsticks (IOW, I get the most compliments, in addition to loving it myself!). The other is YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #19, Fuchsia in Rage. But I love so many colors, and formulas, when it comes to lipstick, I rotate constantly and combine shades with each other to see what happens!

Dianne Avatar

Skin tone/coloring: Fair with neutral undertones

Favorite scent for autumn: My default is Burberry The Beat but as it (finally) cools down I am loving Elizabeth & James Nirvana Bourbon. I can see it becoming a favorite!

Go-to lip color for autumn: I tend to gravitate toward deeper nudes, deep warm-toned rosey colors, and berries. I have been loving UD Vice lipstick in Ravenswood.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn: My skincare stays mostly the same with a few more hydrating treatments thrown in as the weather cools down. I tend to wear deeper, more berry/wine colors on the lips and cheeks and I’ll use an illuminating primer sometimes, as my combo skin is less on the oily side, and I’ll usually use fuller-coverage foundations instead of my It Cosmetics CC cream, which is a go-to in the spring and summer.

Mariela B Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: light medium olive undertones.
Favorite scent for autumn? Gucci guilty
Go-to lip color for autumn? Marvelous mauve sephora lipstain
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I apply foundation with my clean hands to warm up the skin

Deborah Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain
Favorite scent for autumn? Shalimar
Go-to lip color for autumn? NYX Diamond Sparkle in Dusty Rose and Sparkling Amber.
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I try to wear a tad darker lipstick which is tough for me.

Nicole Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Pale/light, warm toned, blonde hair/blue eyes.

Favorite scent for autumn? I don’t know. I have a decent amount of perfume bottles and a ridiculous number of samples (I think I’m the only person I know who loves perfume samples and never ever gets rid of them, no matter how many repeats I get), but I can’t find a scent that I love for fall. It seems like all of the perfumes I have are either too heavy with spices and amber (my winter scents I guess) or too sweet or too citrus-y or too department store or too obvious/statement. Ugh, it’s driving me up the wall. I want something that smells calm, pleasant and fresh but not generic, sweet or heavily of citrus. Does anyone make perfume like that? I was thinking of blind ordering Frederic Malle’s En Passant, but it’s a small fortune and I really don’t want to risk not liking it.

Go-to lip color for autumn? I’ve been trying to wear more reds, just because I have them and love them and always feel too shy to wear them out. So I guess various shades of red would be my go-to right now. I don’t think I have a specific “autumn” shade I gravitate to though, just because I don’t really moderate my makeup by seasons.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? It really doesn’t. It’s still pretty humid here, so I haven’t felt the need to use heavier moisturizers. It’s also still pretty hot, so I’m continuing to use BB creams instead of foundation. I expect that to be the biggest change. Once it really cools down I can start using foundations again (yay!).

Nicole Avatar

I have! I own the Cologne of the Cloister and I really like it. I don’t have either of the ones you mentioned though, and for some reason I didn’t think to look and see what other scents they have. Thank you for bringing them back to my attention, Pteetsa!

Diane Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: dark deep with red undertones NW47
Favorite scent for autumn? something spicy (like patchouli and bergamot) swirl with sugar like vanilla .
Go-to lip color for autumn? chili, diva by mac , divine wine by revlon, box by illasmasqua and train bleu by Nars
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? as i don’t do make up on summer, I enjoy i can layered my body and my face ahaha

Anne Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: NC15 with some redness (and hella dry)

Favorite scent for autumn? Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom

Go-to lip color for autumn? MAC Plumful or NARS Dolce Vita as my day-to-day shades.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? In summer I basically wear no makeup, or pops of bright colors (like aqua on the waterline) so more makeup generally. I also tend to switch my blush tones from corals to plums (hello Hourglass Mood Exposure!). I like bronze-y eyeshadows most of the time, but I can deepen that up or make it more smokey in Fall/Winter.

Monica Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Dark Tan with yellow undertones (Mac C7)
Favorite scent for autumn? J’adore by Dior
Go-to lip color for autumn? My new bae is NYX Budapest, but old bae is Sephora Dark Berry Lipstain
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? Definitely kick the moisturizing into a higher gear as my hair and skin become more ‘parched’

Vanessa Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Medium Neutral MAC NC35
Favorite scent for autumn? Right now my tried and true for more than 10 yrs Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
Go-to lip color for autumn? Mauve Berry tones
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I definitely add a bit more moisture to my skin care and I like a more velvet like foundation i.e Nars Sheer Glow

Wajiha Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Neutral to Warm / Medium to Tan around NC40

Favorite scent for autumn? It’s spring in Australia and I’m working through some of my floral fruity scents that I am not very fond of. I tend to go more earthy unisex in the cooler days.

Go-to lip color for autumn? Lip colour is more a mood than season thing for me. For everyday wear, I stick to nude, light pinks and peach.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I tend to go more retinol/acid heavy in winter to undo any of the summer sun damage and also because I am in a better position to protect my skin from the sun even though I wear sunscreen all year round. I also add richer moisturisers post serum to my routine. In summer I switch to more gel based light hydrators or skip them altogether and just layer SPF on top of serum.

Pteetsa Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/neutral/brunette/green-blue eyes

Favorite scent for autumn? I like Illamasqua Freak when it gets cooler. I don’t really switch out perfumes for the season, but that one does seem too heavy for summer. I also have started wearing Le Couvent des Minimes Cologne of the Missions layered with YSL Black Opium a lot.

Go-to lip color for autumn? I really don’t have a go-to lip color for anything, but I love the new NARS color Mona, so I’m planning on getting that soon.

How does your beauty routine change for autumn? Um, I will actually start wearing makeup again? 🙂 I am much more diligent about using hand cream because if I don’t, my hands will turn bright red and crack and bleed. The weather doesn’t change dramatically here in the fall/winter, so I don’t really change my routine.

Go-to lip color for autumn? MAC Sin. I love a deep, rich red this time of year.
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? For the most part, it doesn’t, but I’m one to never do the same look twice anyway, lol. I might incorporate more fall-colors in general than I normally would. I’m definitely playing with the KVD Metal Crush shadows in Raw Power, Doce, Thrasher, and Synergy more these days.

Katie Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light/Neutral undertones
Favorite scent for autumn? Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Parfum
Go-to lip color for autumn? That’s tough. Fall is my favorite time for lipstick. I have to choose at least five!
1.) Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick “French Toast” + MAC “Burgundy” lip pencil
2.) MAC “Instigator”
3.) NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil “Train Bleu” + MAC “Bespoken” lip pencil
4.) Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick “Teeny Tiny” + Colourpop “Grunge” lip pencil
5.) ABH “Sad Girl” + MAC “Bespoken” lip pencil (not a perfect match but Sad girl is such a unique color I can’t find anything that matches it well.)
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I have to change everything. I increase my vitamin intake, especially fish oil. I need to also switch to more moisturizing skincare products and haircare products. As for makeup, I always do a simple contoured eye with a bold lip. I love fall. 🙂

Go-to lip color for autumn? Anything berry-toned (ex: MAC Rebel, ABH Vamp lip gloss)
How does your beauty routine change for autumn? I’m sure to moisturize more often because my skin gets drier in the fall/winter.
