BACK TO SCHOOL 2016! All Drugstore Makeup Tutorial for High School and College!
About this Look
After years of waking up at 6 AM to get ready for high school and now college (I have an 8 AM class this semester… pray for me), I feel like I have mastered the easy, natural, everyday makeup look, perfect for high school and college students! This makeup tutorial is modeled after the makeup I usually wore everyday in high school. This natural makeup look can really be used for any age group since even after high school, I still consider this my go-to look!
Because I understand the struggle of being a college student, I only used drugstore makeup products! Drugstore makeup has some of my favorite products of all time, so don’t think that you can’t feel gorgeous by only using drugstore makeup! Some of my favorite drugstore products are the Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer, the Rimmel gel eyeliner, and the NYC Lovatics by Demi eyeshadow palette.
I hope you all enjoy this back to school makeup tutorial for high school and college students! If you feel that there are too many products in this back to school makeup tutorial, feel free to adjust this look to fit your own schedule and likings!
Most importantly, good luck this year and be your own kind of beautiful!

Step-by-Step Guide
Back to School 2016! Easy and Natural All Drugstore Makeup Tutorial!
Face:
I applyed the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream all over my face using my fingers. I then used Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer on any redness poking through, any blemishes, and under my eyes to cover my dark circles. We want to look like we got a good night's sleep before school starts! I used my favorite beauty sponge, the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, to blend the concealer away. I powdered my face with the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless translucent powder and a large powder brush from EcoTools. Then, I lightly contoured my face with the Real Techniques contour brush and the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Contour palette. I blended and bronzed my face with an Elle bronzing brush and the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer. I bronzed by forehead, cheeks, neck, ears and nose to create a sunkissed look! I added the Milani rose blush in Romantic Rose for a natural looking flush of color to the cheeks. For fun, I used the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Radiant Lights to give even more of that summery glow to the face. I applied this to my cheekbones, tip of the nose and cupid's bow (upper lip area).
Brows:
I simply filled in my brows with the NYX MicroBrow pencil. This is a great alternative to the Anastasia Beverly Hills BrowWiz! If you struggle with your brows not staying in place, you can use a clear brow gel through your brows. It's kind of like hairspraying your brows in place!
Eyes:
I primed my eyes with the Maybelline Color Tattoo in the limited edition color Nude Compliment. A great alternative color to this is Tough as Taupe, wish I also love. I blended the edges with a large, fluffy brush. I then used my NYC Lovatics by Demi eyeshadow palette. Using a flat eyeshadow brush from ELF, I used the rose gold color (4th from the left) all over the lid. I blended the soft brown color (5th from the left) into the crease using a MAC 217 to blend the rose gold color and add definition to the crease of the eye. I went back with the large, fluffy brush and made sure the edges were softly blended. I used the L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in the color Iced Latte to add a pop of lightness to the inner corner of the eye. Going back to the NYC Lovatics by Demi palette, I went back into the soft brown color with a Sigma E15 Flat Definer Brush and ran that underneath the bottom lashes to add even more definition to the eyes. I also used the lightest shade (1st on the left) as a browbone highlight. We are finished with eyeshadow now! For eyeliner, I created a soft, straight line with the Rimmel ScandalEyes Gel Liner in black, and I used the brush that it came with to do this. I finished the look by curling my lashes and adding two coats of the Physician's Formula Organic Wear mascara to the top lashes and one coat of the Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-brush Very Black Waterproof mascara to the bottom lashes. Using waterproof mascara on the lower lashes prevents smudging or crumbling mascara underneath your eyes throughout the day!
Lips:
I basically used applied the Jordana Modern Matte lipstick in the color Matte Classy straight from the tube onto my lips! I love this color since it's so flattering and stays on for a long time without feeling uncomfortable!
And that's the finished look! I hope you enjoyed this back to school look! Have a great school year and good luck!
