The answer to this could change depending on my mood, right now I’d say Sleek Pout Polishes. I’d known about their amazing eyeshadow palettes when my friend Ana told me about the lip balms. She later sent me my first one, and now I’m hooked- I own every single shade! They’re lovely feeling on the lips, have the perfect amount of tint for quick, running out of the house color, have SPF…what else can you ask for?

Sonia Kushak Eye Make-up Remover – pretty much a Lancome Bi-Facil dupe but way cheaper.

MAC paint pots as a base – I’ve got incredibly hooded eyes and always had huge creasing issues. No more!

I honestly can’t remember the last time I was able to actually take someone’s recommendations on beauty products. Every time I tell people that I have eczema and super-sensitive skin, they throw all these product recommendations at me that they say are “perfect” for people with sensitive skin… usually stuff that has some kind of tree nut oil (which I can’t use), or stuff that is heavily fragranced.

Although I do look at other people’s nail polish swatches to figure out what polishes to buy… I guess that counts as a recommendation 🙂

Best product so far is the Nars Sheer Glow! it’s the first foundation to actually match my too fair skin and it covers redness way better than any other foundation i’ve had!

Chanel Dramatically Different moisturizer. I usually take recommendations with a grain of salt(Usually, people ask ME for them, so I assume they may be recommending it out a lack of knowledge of other options.)

Bobbi Brown eye shadows. I never thought to try them because the colors are not as bold as other brands but they have some great everyday wear shades and the matte and metal color formulas are beautiful and buttery.
I have taupe, khaki, rock, mink and pewter.

Powdered mineral foundation!

Seriously, that stuff changed my life. I could never wear foundation without breaking out until some gals on the BPAL forums got me into it. Now I don’t go a day without it.

A Lancome rep. suggested I buy the blush color ‘Cedar Rose’. I did. Everyone has complimented me on the shade. Women who rarely talk to me even stopped & asked: ‘You look all perky!! What did you do different?’

Many! But the most important one so far is Nivea Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Sensitive skin cream – no breakouts, even tho I have combo skin to the extreme and rosacea/sensitivity. And I can use it around my eyes.

Chanel Vitaluminaire foundation as recommended by Sam on pixiwoo. The worst recommendation, incidentally, was from this blog’s reader choice awards, and was the covergirl lash blast mascara. I’m shocked so many people like this mascara! It flakes, it smudges, and the wand is so big it makes it difficult to apply to lashes on the outside edges of my eyes. I guess it’s all about personal preference, but I couldn’t find anything redeeming about this product!

mac hipness frost blush. i was told most everyone could wear this blush. when i saw it i thought “oh no!”. the most flattering blush on me lightly applied. (nw20 mac products)

Well, I mainly just take your recommendations, reviews and swatches. I really loved MAC Hipness Blush, Urban Decay Vegan Palette, Naked by Urban Decay, and all the Urban Decay 24/7 liners.

MAC Prep & Prime face protect SPF 50 primer. My fellow oily complexion friend recommend this to me, and I have since then been shine free :-).

Honestly, my favorite product this year, or even longer, is the Naked Palette, recommended by you Christine. I have hunderds of eyeshadows, palettes, but this is my favorite palette ever.

I have bad skin (acne) and a lady at sephora gave me a sample of a product that’s a face primer that’s medicated with 1% salicylic acid for people with acne. I dont remember the name of the product but if u have oild skin you might want to stay away from it. Creamy products tend to make my face look oily.

Nars sheet glow (I like the finish) – the only thing I do not like about this foundation is that it does nt match my skin well.

MUFE HD – It makes my face look oily (all liquid makeup does) but they match my skin the BEST.

Urban Decay Primers are the best. I do have too faced btu i prefer urbaan decay, yeah despite the package.

I’d have to say Chanel rouge allure laques in Dragon by the wonderful Christine! I’ve been using it quite a bit lately & the hubby really, really likes it. 😉
