Wow, I’m excited for this! The only Smashbox product I own atm is their tinted moisturizer. I’ve never tried their eyeshadows, so I can’t wait! Definitely picking this up – really gorgeous colors. 🙂

Thanks Christine! You rock! I’m debating about getting it, I have the BOSII and other UD palettes. I really don’t feel the other shades besides Radium, and the two new purple shades. They look really awesome! I think I’ll only get it if UD has their friends and family sale.

Another repeat is Snatch, which is in the Show Pony and Preen palettes. Also, Rockstar is similar to the Urban Decay Loose Pigment in Rockstar, as well as the eyeliner in Rockstar. I want this palette, but there are so many repeats. The only shades I don’t have are the ones exclusive to this palette: Kush, Loaded, Money, Bordello, and Suspect (I think I named them all). I even have Haight and Psychedelic Sister already. But even 5 eyeshadows at $17 each would be $85, so this is still a steal at $54:)
There are 7 brand new shades, though both Rockstar and Radium are certainly inspired by other products of the same name! I mentioned the repeats in my written review, which is much more detailed as well 🙂
I have Uzi, and I’d say that it goes along with being as terrible with fallout as the other two shades you expressed your concern for. It’s such a mess.

i compared swatches of Perversion from my BOS1, BOS2 and the single.. they’re all slightly different. I wonder if BOS3 will be different too. lol

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but… why is Haight in this box? Haight is a street in San Francisco.

I believe UD answered it on their Facebook – that they wanted to include the color, but they didn’t rename it since they got a lot of flak for doing that with the AiW palette (even though they never hid it and were very clear that the shades were all renamed for the purpose of the theme).
Well… That’s what I get for not checking here first =P
It’s okay. I managed to find a seller who actually priced it reasonably – I only had to pay extra for the shipping.
But now I’m definitely going to have one! If the Naked palette was any indication, I bet this BOS will also sell out very quickly.
I´ve got the Show Pony palette which has Smog and Snatch. Does Snatch (in the Book of Shadows III) have the same weird texture as in the Show Pony palette?
It’s the same texture to me as it’s always been, though I didn’t find it weird in Show Pony, lol!
