Quick & Easy Natural Smoky Eye

This is a super quick, super easy smoky eye that’s not too dramatic and still natural.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Satin Taupe eyeshadow on the bottom third of the lid along the upper lash line. Lightly blend Soft Brown eyeshadow on the middle of the lid with the 239 and blend into and above the crease. Blend Shroom eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Zero liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #15 Natural blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Velvet Teddy lipstick first, and then layer Nymphette lipglass for a complementing lip.

Hi Phuong,

I will definitely do more of them, but I totally didn’t realize how much time it takes to compile everything! I will have to plan better so I can set aside the 6-8 hours it takes to get everything ready and not rush through it like I did here! 🙂

I realised how hard your job is christine after taking my own photos! you need to have your eyebrows/ hair perfect and then your face is up for everyone to look at! you do a great job though!

It totally gets easier after you’ve taken a ton, too! 🙂 You find out which wall and which lights you need to use… how to stand… and you still take a ton. I get these crazy shots where my eyes are half closed and I look drugged still!

Woeeh, nice look! And, this the first time a look of which I actually already own all the colours used, whoop ^^ I’m definitely going to try this one. Why haven’t I thought of pairing soft brown with satin taupe? Genius! ^^ Love the lippies btw!

Christine, I was fearful of a satin taupe disaster (my husband refers to that one as Zombie-kitty – it doesn’t comply with my warm undertones) but I like the idea of putting just a smidge on the lower centre third of the eye lid. Will give it a whirl… And if that fails, well, look out undead, here I come…

this is almost the exact look i do when im in a rush only i dont use soft brown and bring satin taupe into the crease lightly and pack on the colour more in the outer corner and i use shroom in the tear duct aswell 🙂

that is super duper great and natural look i have everything m surely gonna try and post too … i bought velvet teddy after reading its ur fav nude lip combo and i am sooo much loveing it dear 🙂 thanks i might use margin though with this as a blush ..

This is so pretty Christine! Oh man, you’re making me want to pick up some more eyeshadow when I really shouldn’t… I keep switching between lipstick and e/s phases and it’s not doing good for the wallet.

I used to think Satin Taupe was too grey for my liking. Would you say it’s more on the brown side?
