MAC Dare to Wear Collection Available!
The collection is now available for purchase at MAC. I haven’t heard of the free shipping code yet, but I am sure they will offer one soon enough.
I’m sorry I don’t have swatches and reviews for you to peruse over. I ordered this morning as soon as I saw it on the site and overnighted it, so I hope to have photos, swatches, and reviews for you tomorrow… as soon as humanly possible after it’s delivered.
What are you nabbing? I fully recommend Atlantic Blue (permanent!) and Going bananas! 🙂
P.S. – Stereo Rose is back in stock on the MAC website… And it’s sold out again.
Sadly I thought this was being released online on the 29th as well as in stores. I seem to forget they pre-release earlier online. So now I have no money and I have to wait until Thursday to get all the non-matte eyeshadows. xD I think Going Bananas will be gone with my bad luck. Oh well! Btw I hate matte, maybe you’ll change my mind with your swatches. I have had really bad luck with Mac’s Matte eyeshadows. Yuck! Chalky looking.
Yeah, online nearly always launches on the Tuesday before the launch – but it will still be releasing the 29th in-store. 🙂
Atlantic Blue is one of my all-time favorite eyeshadows and it’s matte!
Hmm you know I think I’ll try it out! 🙂 I am afraid of bright colors, but it’s a pretty blue! I’ll tell you how it works out once I get it. 🙂 I’m getting better and better all because of you!! I want to thank you….I didn’t start buying Mac or Sephora until I found your site. I’m VERY careful with where my money goes.
:/ I sadly don’t live near a Mac yet, but we are in the process of moving. I’m sure they have a Nordstroms or Dillards with Mac. The one I have has NOTHING. (Small town) Does it normally sell out in store fast???
Aww! Sometimes things do, sometimes they don’t. There usually *aren’t* super hot sellers like Stereo Rose, Marine Life, etc.
Haha both of those I missed out on unfortunately. The Jazzed lipstick is still up. I think that’s one of the ones I really wanted the most. Crossing my fingers, it just has to last until tomorrow morning!! >.<

My local MAC store allowed me to preview the collection. The lipglasses are amazing! Beautiful, shimmery colors that go on VERY opaque. The colors are must-haves! The eyeshadows are also beautiful, however I see myself only purchasing maybe three or four. They also had the new fall nailcolors which are GORGEOUS!

I got Going Bananas and Louder,please. I have a feeling when I go to my Mac store I’m going to end up getting Sassy grass and crazy cool as well though. The lipglasses don’t thrill me so I can pass on those.

I’m looking forward to checking these out on Thursday. I’m still looking for some awesome bright red gloss, but my fear as always is that Bold & Brash will be too pink or too sheer. It looks fantastic swatched on skin, but I need to see it on my lips.

agh i’m so annoyed! i actually looked at stereo rose this morning at 8 and it still said sold out even though some other stuff in the collection was back in stock. was it out again before i looked or right after? i decided to wait on an order on the new stuff because i didn’t get a free shipping code in my email! then i was thinking about stereo rose for a few hours and JUST made a winning bid on ebay for one.
when i ordered it it was still there at 1 EST then around 3 it sold out again

I actually got my order from Macy’s yesterday. The collection popped up mysteriously on their sight one day last week, then disappeared. I was afraid my ordered wouldn’t be filled and really surprised when it came in the mail yesterday. I got the Wind Me Up Lipglass, Going Bananas and Aqua e/s. Going Bananas is even more wearable than I thought it would be and I’m excited to try the new Lipglass.
Same here! I got everything except the “Dare to Dare” lipglass, which somehow was NOT listed. Either way, I love ALL the eyeshadows but I’m thinking about returning some of the glosses, since I don’t think I can pull them off :S
I’m loving these vibrant shades! Can’t wait to see your swatches.

I am not a big fan of matte eyeshadows. And i am not sure of the lip glosses. I may sit this out. Besides, i am still mad over the Stereo Rose and Marine Life Debacle. Really soured me this summer on MAC

If you use yellows a lot, yes, I think so. If you don’t, you could skip.
All I got was Going Bananas because of your recommendation (and foundation, which I actually need)–I have to save up for the fall collections. Those Feline palettes are going to ruin my Nordstrom account. 🙂
When do they typically have collections available at Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, etc. online?
It seems to vary – anywhere from before the MAC website to before or even a day after it launches in-store.
I already have atlantic blue wich it looks amazing with club e/s so I just ordered going bananas and aqua. I need to see zyngy in person because it looks similar to electric eel in my opinion I hope to see swaches pretty soon.

I only ordered 2 things, even though I love bright colours. I picked up Sassy Grass e/s, and Gimme That l/g.
I wasn’t very impressed from the eyeshadow swatches that I’ve seen, and I already own atlantic blue and winkle.
I’d like to pick up another lipglass or two, but I want to see them in person first. Same with the rest of the eyeshadows.

It was available at my pro store today. I only got Going Bananas. I wasn’t going to bother getting any permanent colours of e/s, so I was considering the two purples, but they didn’t impress me in person. The lipglass is tooooo sparkly for me. I don’t like that look, but one of the mua with darker skin was wearing the red one and her lips looked like glittery ruby slippers! Nice on others, but not my cup-o-tea.

I got all the LE shadows except for zingy. I’m going to check that one out in person to see how different it is from electric eel and clarity. I did get ALL the lipglasses though. They more than make up for how dissapointing the Nordstrom dazzleglasses were. Now I just need the mailman to hurry up and bring me my box of happiness!
I ordered Going Bananas and Shockaholic. Am waiting to see Sassy Grass in person – I’m not sure if would get any wear outside of St. Patty’s Day, LOL!

Can’t wait for swatches, Hey Christine, can you make sure to let us know if they are sticky at all? I have never been a fan of MAC’s glosses because they are sticky and after they wear off, my lips peel! But these look really neat, i love full colored glosses but really hope they are not sticky. Thanks so much and cant wait! 😀

I ordered Going Bananas, Atlantic Blue and Zingy. Can’t wait to see them in person. I love the way the Atlantic Blue looks on you, I hopes it looks ok on my too, I’m an NC37.
After reading all of the hullabaloo over the Rodarte collection, I can’t seem to bring myself to even look at the MAC website as I still feel conflicted about the whole thing. I was looking forward to adding some of these colors to my collection but, for now, this ine is going to be a pass for me. I’m hoping I can come to peace with the situation before the Felines collection launches.
Well, I got Going bananas and Sassy grass, and I’m really happy I didn’t skip that one (although being a matte one) because it makes my greyish-bluish-greenish eyes look so incredibly green !
I got the Wind me up and So bad lipglasses too, and love them !
