any info on pan size?
I imagine it would be the same as the permanent ambient lighting palette. At least I hope it is…
I was wondering/ hoping the same – if it is the same size, that’s not a bad price, all things considered. I think I paid $58 for the permanent, and it’s up to $62 now…
Melissa, you took the words right out my mouth!
Love it! <3
Aww – I already own each as a single… This would be awesome for traveling but I can’t justify it!
I was just about to purchase Luminous Light… now I’m going to wait for this palette. Great timing, ha!
Hmmm, I wonder the pan size. I might have to splurge as I own none of these.
I tested Luminous Bronze Light yesterday at Sephora and it is too orange-y for my tastes.
Love that there’s time for swatching!
Omg I’ve always wanted Luminous Light! Just haven’t been able to get myself to buy it because it’s so darn expensive! I can’t wait for this. I do have the blush but it’s so pretty I don’t mind having a travel size! Haha.
Love this!!
I’ll be curious to learn the cost per ounce/relative “value” of this palette. If it offers reasonable value, I will buy it but if it’s like that rip off LE palette from Xmas 2015, it will just further entrench my annoyance at this company. I haven’t purchased a single Hourglass item since that palette and it used to be one of my favourite companies. I don’t mind expensive, high end products; I DO mind a company over-charging its customers!
Mariella; what you just wrote, are my sentiments exactly and on point!
Nancy, had it not been for the information Christine provided, I probably wouldn’t have realized what a rip-off that palette was. I am so grateful that we all have this place to provide us with the sort of factual information we deserve…sort of like Consumer Reports magazine. Most of us here spend a pretty hefty sum on colour cosmetics and skincare and it’s so helpful to have honest information along with the more subjective stuff. Once I saw Christine’s calculations, I got really angry. So many companies give you something like $80 worth of product for $50 in a palette or value set or at Christmas but Hourglass was doing just the opposite….$50 dollars worth of product (this is going by Hourglass’s own pricing of product by weight) for $95 (CDN). I’m glad you share my sentiments. It was a really shoddy, shabby thing to do but I would probably never have realized but for Christine’s excellent information.
That’s precisely what Christine’s site in fact is: the Consumer’s Report or BBB of the cosmetics world. Without it, I do not even want to think about how many costly mistakes I probably would have made by now. That thought scares me! And likely, every single one of us to a lesser or greater extent.
But the company did disclose the info; it is not like they hid it. That they miscalculate or over estimate the value that customers have for that combination in a palette, is another matter.
They are required by law to label their products with the amount, either by weight or volume. But I don’t think they disclosed in the sense of “this palette is priced significantly higher than if sold by individual product weight” or, if they did, I didn’t see it. I know Sephora took down a LOT of reviews complaining about this fact (not Hourglass’s fault; it reflected badly on Sephora, who weren’t responsible for this gouging and really had no need to remove reviews complaining about it).
This would be such a great palette it only there were other shades. OMG Hourglass do you know no other blush shades except Luminous?
A girl can dream of a little diversity… Is it too much to ask for 2 versions… one for fair-light and one for medium deep?
Great for traveling though.
Exactly…no love for us tanner/deeper complexions….ufff. Nars does the same thing with their palettes. So annoying…specially cause their not dumb, they know what’s up, they do it on purpose.
I’m not sure if on purpose to spite but more like a marketing selling point of view. they want to maximise profit and minimize risk. Oh what a cruel, cold world…
I signed up for Nordstrom rewards and I’m supposed to receive a discount for their anniversary sale, so I might consider this! The Ambient Lighting Powder didn’t work so well for me when I tried them (I prefer my Guerlain Météorites), but I’m curious about the blush and bronzer.
It looks so pretty!
They need to change the blush and bronzer shades. I already have Luminous Flush Blush in two palettes and as individual… 🙂
Cute for travel though.
Hmm, most bronzing shades look too warm and orange on me, might be able to use as a blush, but if not, can’t justify this one
While this looks like a decent cheek palette, two things are causing me some concern:
A.) The shades are geared towards light-medium and lighter. Not a good shade choice for those of us in the darker half of medium and beyond. They ought to have made 2 palette options.
B.) One has got to wonder whether or not the pan sizes are the same as past trios, or….is this going to be another instance of Hourglass skimming away at the product amounts?
Considering I don’t own any of their bronzers or illuminators this has my interest.
How can i pre order this pallete from Nordstrom? I am new in the U.S and this will be my first time shopping during the anniversary sale. Also, can anyone please tell me if Nordstrom receives payment in dollars via overseas credit card like american express ? I am planning on using my husband’s credit card who lives in the uk 😀
Glanced over this was incredibly juiced, but realized I already have 2/3 and plan to buy the blush anyway!
This is priced at $62. Is it going to be sold at a discounted price for the sale?
$62 is the price of the set – Beauty Exclusives are typically sets and products created or sold exclusively for Nordstrom’s sale, often value sets at a set price but they are not discounted and then increased later on. There are only a few that are actually discounted for the sale – mostly jumbo-sized products (Kiehl’s for example).
Was anyone able to get their hands on this or the beauty blender set?!?! Do we know if they re-stock during the sale?!
I went online on the 22nd and it wasn’t available anymore =(
