Barbie Loves MAC Copycat FOTD

I thought it would be fun to attempt to copy the promotional image for the Barbie Loves MAC collection launching February 15th. I know I’m excited for the collection! I used Golder’s Green pigment on lid, Metamorph eyeshadow on lid, Swimming eyeshadow on very outer lid, Nocturnelle eyeshadow in crease, Sketch eyeshadow in crease, Pink Papillon eyeshadow above crease, Thunder eyeshadow above crease, Soft Heart eyeshadow on brow, Metamorph eyeshadow on lower lash line, and Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line. I wore Dollymix blush with Enriched Refined Bronze and Plum Foolery blush to contour and Pink Opal pigment on cheeks to highlight. I had Fashionably Fuchsia lipstick with Crystal Rose lipglass and a touch of Auto-de-femme chromeglass on my lips.

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I know you get this ALL THE TIME, but I think you’ve got yourself some amazing skills. I frequently visit your page for inspiration. Kind of a newbie with blending, so it looks pretty amateur- but I love to experiment with different colors. Poor college student at the University of Miami so I can’t afford your expensive collection, but I make do with whatever I have. It’s just a matter of finding the best colors, all of which, pale in comparison to the ones in your posession. Well now that I’ve given you my life story, just want to sum up how I love coming on here for ideas. It also allows me to work up the courage to go crazy with some colors- I don’t see too much of that around me. But if you can do it, so can I. Wow. I can really ramble. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much! I’m a poor college student, too – BUT I saved up a lot of money when I was just a kid, plus most of what I made through work went right back into makeup, LOL. Anyway, buy what works for you, whether it’s cheap or expensive 🙂

Makeup is meant to be fun, so experimentation is fun, too! And nobody says you have to do a crazy look and leave the house with it. 😉 It took me quite awhile to feel comfortable in really bold blue looks. I always feared I looked like Mimi from the Drew Carey show.
