Most of the time, it’s just 3 (lid, outer crease & highlight).

Least I can go is 2 (one shadow smokey eye & highlight).

If I have more time, I’ll go from 4 to 5 eyeshadows.

maximum 5.
inner corner and brow highlight usually 1 color,
lid color
crease color
outer v
black or dark color to line the eyes.

But on a daily basis, I only wear 3 colors. lid, crease and liner

3 -4 on a daily basis. All over lid color, a crease color to blend out, a highight color, and an outer v color to deepen out when I have time or want to a bolder look. I’m usually in arush in the mornings to get to work. That’s when I just stick to 3 shadows.

i use usually around 5, sometimes, less sometimes more. but i think 5 should do the work… 1 in the inner corners and highlight, 1 lid color, 1 crease color, 1 outer V color, to smoke things a little bit more and 1 blending color usually…

it depends on what look i am going for really, my fav look is just a peachy on the lid and light brown on the crease, it really makes my eyes stand out! so generally i use 2 or 3

hmmm….

Paintpot
Inner lid
Mid lid
Outer V
Crease
Highlight
Powder-as-eyeliner

Therefore up to 7!!!!! And that is assuming I don’t mix my own colours for each section

For a general, every day look though, it is 5 (paintpot, inner lid, outer lid, crease and highlight)

Christine, I have a question if you don’t mind me asking. Do all the comments on your posts show up? I have noticed that a few of mine are not there in some of the giveaway posts. Did it go through even though it is not listed in the post?

Thanks for your time.

Normally three eyeshadows (lid, crease, highlight). Every so often, I add in extra eyeshadows for the inner lid or/and the outer v but three tends to be the average.

Laura Avatar

Between 3 and 5 usually. I’d say on an average day probably 4: One all over the lid, one as a highlight and in the inner corner, one in the crease and outer corner of the lid, and one in the outer v.

i think i use them how i want to do my look… but i think its about 4 colours 🙂 (highlite, lid, crease and “above the crease”) 🙂 and sometimes another different colour für the lower lashline 🙂

Bel Avatar

Average of 2-4 eyeshadoys and only special ocasions 5. And when I’m REALLY lazy just one, you know that color that just looks good on your lid? That’s the one!

I usually use 2 complimenting shades but when my Deluxe palette arrives I’m thinking of playing 🙂 3 to 4 colors. let’s see what happens

meghan Avatar

Usually not more than 4.
Typically 3 for everyday. I used 3 today but I used benefit high beam as my highlight for the brow bone which is unusual. So, that would have been 4 otherwise.

3-5 normally, depending on how ambitious I feel. That’s only shadows, not liner, mascara or brow colour. I’m wearing 4 today, which is about normal.

monika-luiza Avatar

usually for everyday I use 2, for dramatic smockey eyes I use 2-4. I kind of get several tones out of one e/s because of using different brushes and i’m not a very colorful person when it comes to my eye make-up (neutrals, grays, blacks and plums) so I don’t need that many shadows for one look

liz Avatar

Usually just one.. I’ve never really liked the way I look with eyeshadow on! Although I’d kill for the perfect smokey eye. My everyday routine includes Beige-Ing Shadestick (my favourite), and liquid winged liner plus mascara. I will sometimes use a different product but it’s always shimmery nude/champagne.

If it’s a more dramatic look, 5 or more; if it’s an everyday look 3-4; but for summers i’ve really been digging the all over wash of color, preferably Melon pigment – Mmm – Or just winged liner and naked lids, ha.

Sharon Avatar

I use around three (lid, crease, highlighter) normally, more if I’m using shadow as liner on the lower lash line. It all depends on how much time I have to play 🙂

Danielle Avatar

Four or five usually, depending on the look. I use one on the lid, one on the crease, a highlighter, and usually a dark shade on the very outer corner of my upper lid (I find this makes neutrals and warmer colors look better on my pale, very cool-toned skin). Sometimes I use shadow as a liner as well, when I don’t feel like digging through my bag for a pencil liner.
