i’m in charge of make up at my sister’s wedding! and i’d definitely use this brush to give my sister the most gorgeous glowing wedding day skin 🙂

Cathy Avatar

The first thing I would use with this brush would definately be bronzer. The width looks perfect to give me a slightly healthier glow on my super-fair skin!

Sass Avatar

Since I use my 188 most of the time to apply my Studio Fix Fluid I would try this brush out with my foundation. I hear that this brush applies easier than with the 188. I find the 188 easy to use. Whether I win this or not I’m getting the brush to test it with my fix.

Joyce Avatar

I’m definitely most excited to use it for blush purposes, mostly cream. I feel like cream blushes are so hard to work with, but this brush looks so perfect and amazing for it!

Salvinia Avatar

Highlighting and bronzer. I love the light application you can get with a duo-fibre brush, but the only one I have is a MAC 187 dupe and it’s just so huge! I have to put a hair band around the bristles so it’s narrow enought to fit on my face, haha! I’d love to have a smaller version.

Lori Avatar

I LOVE MAC – I would first like to purchase a new arsenal of the new MAC to the Beach line on Thursday and make my decision on how I would use the brush then, but since I’m leaving my comment today, I would use the brush as an applicator for my MAC tinted moisturizer. That stuff is awesome and I think this brush would help it glide on easy and streak free!

Stephanie Avatar

I would use it to apply my ambering rose blush, I love it, but I don’t use it a lot because it is so pigmented… I would love to use this brush for it, to get a more natural look!

Sabrina Avatar

The first thing I would use it with is the Marine Life powder I just ordered. 🙂
Though I think I would use it the most with my MSFs.
I can’t believe I have yet to try any MAC brushes.

Wendy M. Avatar

I’d use this when I buy Stereo Rose and quite possibly Petticoat from the In The Groove collection. 😀

Diana Avatar

blush! i love duo fiber brushes for blush and i like that this one is smaller so i’d have better control of where the product would go

Sorrow Avatar

I love duo-fibre brushes and MAC brushes are my favorite! First I would try using it to stipple my favorite cream colour base on my cheeks. I’d also use it for foundation. After reading your review it sounds awesome and i would love to try it. Thanks for offering this! Your swatches and reviews are what i depend on for buying most of my cosmetics.

Emma C Avatar

I would use this to apply my MSF in Lightflush to my cheeks because every other brush lays it down to heavily and I heard on MUA that it’s really good for applying these products.

wbwrightMakeupArtist Avatar

After using your tip, I used my 188 to apply my VAST amount of serums, creams, boosters, and so forth for my night time skin ritual. I LOVE this, not only because I have dehydrated, aging skin and it feels good, but because I use a lot less product…which when you pay RIDICULOUS amounts of money for youth in a jar is a GOOD thing!
Then I would go on to find as many other uses as possible… and even promise to report them all back to you! xoxo, whitney

carla Avatar

I would love this brush…I would use with blush. I check your website everyday, I love your reviews and I know that I can always count on you for great reviews.

Neeshie Avatar

I would use it for mineralize blushes, but when I went to MAC the SA used it for foundation and it was really good, so that may be next

Ramlah Avatar

I would use this brush for cream blushes, i have been wanting to buy a MAC cream color base in fabulush as a base for powder blush, and i think this brush would be perfect for applying that.

Arduinna4 Avatar

I will try it with all my MSF’s (thats Light Flush and Porcelain pink :P). Still havent a decent brush for that kind of product…

Catherine Avatar

I would use it to replace the blush brush I’m using right now. It’ll be so much easier to use pigmented blush with this brush.

Gen Avatar

For Blush and probably for the makeup that i do for movies (well for my best friend movies…still, Spielberg did begin somewhre!!!)

baby in a corner Avatar

Everything! liquid foundation, highlighter and cream blusher! i really would love to win this – have been thinking about saving for it since you did the review!

Josie Avatar

My Cactus Flower have been waiting for this brush for a really long time…Seems none of my brushes apply cream blush perfectly:(

Melanie Avatar

Foundation. I need to improve my skills with that step of my skincare routine. I have another brush but I am not satisfied all the time.

Soly Avatar

I’ve been looking for a foundation brush. I just don’t like the traditional flat ones (streaks) and the 187. I would use it for foundation first!

Angel Avatar

Wow!! This seems like an amazing brush. I would definitely use this brush for application of cream blush. I love cream blush and this seems like a good brush to use with it.

Thanks for this giveaway! 🙂

You’re amazing Christine!

Kelsey Avatar

I’d use this brush for applying my foundation for a nice even finish! I don’t really own a professional foundation brush so this would make applying my foundation amazing :o)

vnssa906 Avatar

I would attempt to use this brush to apply liquid foundation… it seems like the dual fibers would do an awesome job of not applying my foundation streaky 🙂

Tiam Avatar

Hello CHristine !
I would love to have this brush, simply because I’m a highlighter lover !!!! we are soul mates and I love having a candlelight complexion . 🙂

Rene S Avatar

FOUNDATION! I have such a hard time getting a great application with my foundation, as I have a bit of acne and I’m hoping this brush helps!

Jenny Avatar

I’d use the brush for bronzer and highlighter. Too bad that the Marine Life is already sold out! The 131 brush looks a bit flat compared to other dual-fiber brushes by MAC. I’m hoping to achieve more precise application with this brush*;)

fi Avatar

I would use this for my foundation (which is liquid), as I’ve recently been using a sponge, but I don’t like the finish it gives. 🙂

Courtney Avatar

Hey Temptalia! I would probably use this brush for my tinted moisturizer or to dust on some light blush over my tinted moisturizer. Thanks.

Adrine Avatar

I would use the brush first for cream blushes, but I would really love to use it for foundation to see if it really works for that.

Adrine

Cristi Avatar

i would use this brush for a flawless airbrush finish for foundation and highlight with my MSF’s. maybe even use this brush to apply creme blushes.

Donna Avatar

Hmmm… I’d try it for foundation first… (my current brush can be streaky) but if that didn’t work, I’d definitely use it for my cream blusher….

LNU Avatar

I would definitely try it with my liquid foundation, I think thats the one product I like using different brushes for just to see how it all turns out because I’m not sure I’ve found one that makes it look great to me.

Jessi Avatar

I just got into mineralized blushes with Too Fabulous and I’m gonna dip right into Rhapsody in Two and slather it all over cheeks, forehead and collar bone!

marine C Avatar

I’m french and I love your blog!! I’m fine to participate! I would like to win this brush because I’m found of mac’s blushes (colors and textures!) and I think this brush is okay for apply it on my cheeks!

sorry for my english! I’m really happy to put a message in order to win a mac product!!

bye

Rachel H Avatar

I have the 187 big size(which I use for mineral foundation / powder), and smaller travel size (which I use for blush). I was thinking about getting the 130 to supplement the 187 to apply concealer under eye, or blend in smaller areas.

Camille Avatar

I would use it to apply my new liquid foundation that I’m dying to try then clean it off and use it for the cheeks! In any mineralize combo.

vivian Avatar

i would use it for my cream blush! i haven’t had the chance to use it because i don’t have any good stippling brushes to use it with. i’d love to be able to wear my cream blush over the summer!

Crisstyna Avatar

I can think of so many things to do with this brush! But the first thing i would use it for is adding pretty glowing highlights to my face!

Sarah Avatar

I would use this to apply a diffused sweep of blush on my cheeks! (I tend to go a little overboard with the blush sometimes.) It would be my first MAC brush 🙂

Proximity Avatar

I would use this as a liquid foundation brush. I’ve gone back and forth between using a skunk and a traditional foundation brush a couple times, and I’m not completely satisfied with either, so this could be just what I’m looking for!

Aileen Avatar

I would use the 131 for blush. It looks perfect for those more pigmented blushes that you need a light hand for. The 187 is sometimes just to big for blush.

Lizz M. Avatar

Oh gosh, i’ve been lemming this brush so badly! I’d probably use it first for cream blushes and highlighters. To get those perfect summer cheeks. Then i’d want to try it out with liquid foundation!

Naomi Avatar

I would use it for a light dusting of a shimmery blush or msf. It looks like it is perfect to deposit colour without too much shimmer

Annie Avatar

I think I would use it to highlight or to lighten my under eye area, using concealer, mixed with a little bit of cream highlighter to conceal and lighten at the same time.

beautywhore Avatar

graduations are here and i am doing makeup for a few friends graduating from UCLA! and i would def. use this brush for any type of cream or liquid blushes, foundations, highlighters, and this would definitely be good for blending out some cream shimmer for their chests so they could look FAB! in their grad dresses.

Chelsea Burns Avatar

My wedding is in one month and i am a die hard creme blush fan so I would love t have this brush to make it look absolutely amazing.

Sam Avatar

i would use it to do my foundationnn ! i have yet to find a suitable brush to apply my foundation with. i hate using my fingers cuz i feel like it makes me break out from the oil on my fingers!

Rawrzellers Avatar

I’d really want to try this brush with a blush or bronzer first, it looks so fancy with the duo fibers that I just want to use it for everything.

Carla Avatar

I would use this on my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to lightly set my foundation so that my face doesn’t look too powdery!

Selena Avatar

I have been on the hunt FOREVER for a highlighter brush. I think this is the best shape and size for what I’ve been looking for!

kirsty Avatar

I am scarily heavy handed when it comes to blush, combined with my pale skin is a disaster waiting to happen!

I would use this for a softer application of blush!

AshleyMarie Avatar

Definitely for foundation and cream blushes! I use both everyday but still haven’t found the perfect brushes for them at an affordable price!

Aryn Matiwosky Avatar

I would try it first on my big production at school. We are opening a huge alice in wonderland show and I am one of the makeup artists for it. This brush will def help with the foundation for everyone to make a perfect slate to do makeup on.

jessicakalaniii Avatar

the first thing i would try out with this brush would probably be foundation. it’s a smaller brush so it can be used for precise foundation application. (:

Danielle Avatar

I would want to try this for blush for sure and probably to throw on some highlighter. This summer is all about the glow for me!

esther Avatar

I would use this for foundation.. boring and practical, I know, but I never use brushes for foundaiton cuz I don’t think it provides better coverage. maybe this brush will make me a believer though!

Shela Tat Avatar

Considering that it’s a stippling brush, I’d use it for blushes, bronzers, and highlighters. Especially with cream or liquid makeup.

Carol Avatar

I would use it from cream blushes, definitely. I’m really needing something to apply all the cream blushes i bought for summer.

ezzie Avatar

i would first use this for highlighting the high points of my face to acheive that healthy, glowy summer look~ ^^
and then for blush 😀

Emily Avatar

I would use this brush to apply liquid foundation. in my opinion it looks like the right size and shake to really give a flawless look

Ember Avatar

The first thing I would do with the MAC 131 Brush is try it out with my Mineral Skin Finish Natural. I haven’t been able to find the perfect brush to apply it with yet, and it sounds like this may be it.

Madeleine Avatar

I would use this brush for highlighting because it’s so flat that it’s just perfect for it so u don’t get shimmer everywhere!

Shanna A Avatar

I would try it out with a foundation to see how I’d like it, and then I would use for my mineralize skinfinishes and so on. I’d like to try out a lot of different things with it to see how it works with them.

Jenny Avatar

I would use this brush to apply my foundation because I don´t have a duo fibre brush for it (gosh, I´m sure I´m the only girl on earth who doesn´t have a duo fibre brush! LOL). But I would also use it to apply cream blushes and my moisturizer 🙂

Kerry Avatar

I’d use it for my cream blush. At the moment, I use my fingers, but this always makes my cheeks flush and I can’t see where I’m putting it!

Stephanie Sun Avatar

i would like to use this brush to apply bronzer and highlighter, i ve tried this brush in the preview party and its perfect for doing that

Liz Avatar

I’d love to try out this brush with mineralize blushes, or anything too glittery. I think it would be perfect because it’s halfway between the 187, which I find too big for blush, and the 188, which is way too small for blush.

Daphnee Avatar

This is an awesome giveaway *crossing fingers* I hope to win! I’d first use this fab brush for creme based products, like blushes.

Sarah Lynn Avatar

I would use this to apply mineral foundation, because my kabuki is just too big. And I would also use it to apply my liquid foundation because my MAC 187 is not cutting it.

tyana Avatar

i bought a few cream blushes lately and i would be so happy to use this brush for those, exciting!, i also want to try it with my foundation and tinted moisturizer, i bet it would be great!

stickles Avatar

My best friend has been looking for a great cheek brush for light bronzing and I’d love to give her one of these since it’s my favorite!

Samantha Avatar

I would use it fro cream blushes! :)))

I did already post this comment but I forgot to hit the check box for follow up emails! : /

Lisa Avatar

The first thing I would use this brush for is to apply my new Ben Nye creme blush! It’s a gorgeous bright pink, so I need a wonderful brush to get the perfect application! 😀

Katey Avatar

I would use the brush to apply the new creme bronzer in beach bronze! Its so beautiful and i think this brush will give a nice glow to the skin

kenneth alan Avatar

I’m always super sanitary with my face to a point where it’s almost crazy. I’d use this brush to apply moisturizer instead of my hands. I’m sure i’d try it out with foundation as well just to see how it applies.

Jennifer Avatar

Oh bless you for your wonderful contests!! I’m dying to try this brush!! I would use it for foundation first and then try it with blushes, bronzers and face powders. 🙂

MichelleChefNYC Avatar

I would use this with the awesome cream bronzer that came out with this collection, which I have been LOVING! Super natural looking, and lovely

Laurz Avatar

I don’t want to have to buy the 109 brush…so I would love this brush for liquid foundation!!! My skin is freaking out right now and it is so frustrating, so I am trying to get as flawless as possible.

Lena Avatar

Where should I start? I’d use it probably for a liquid foundation brush since I’m severely lacking one at the moment. To be honest, I haven’t given the MAC brushes a test yet, and I’ve been eager to do so.. except they’re so expensive (especially to students – argh!)

Yenny V Avatar

First, I’ve gotta wash it and put it through the test.. get rid of all the sheds and things. Then, I’m gonna try it with my MatVelvet+ Foundation from MUFE. I’ve been dying to try this brush for foundation. =]

kabir Avatar

MAC MAC MAC just mind blowing for brush cant get enough of it . this brush is not just perfect 4 foundation but also cream blush.

Nola Avatar

Cream blushes/powder blushes, I guess 🙂 I love duo-fiber brushes, they give my skin the subtle touch of color without making it over the top.

Ana Avatar

i would use the brush to apply my foundation right now i’m using my fingers. Lady at Mac told me not to use sponge cause it soaks up 1/2 of my foundation.

Danielle Avatar

I would use it for my Mineralize Blush first. I’m hoping it will diffuse the color more delicately. 🙂

twitter: MissDanielleSLP

Cassie Avatar

I would use it with the Marine Life that’s on hold for me at my friendly local MAC counter (they actually are friendly – weird, right!?)

Sabrina P. Avatar

I would try Blushes and MSF first with this brush. The blushbrush I use at the moment is just…crappy, so i’m looking forward on winnig this one 😉

PJ Avatar

I would use this for highlighting – specifically the Marine Life highlight powder. I got my shipping notification from MAC today!!!

Shannon Avatar

probably foundation brush or for my pigmented blushes. i find dual fibers REALLY REALLY useful because they can be so versatile.

Maren Avatar

I would first use this brush for MSFs, especially glittery ones like Gold Deposit, because I think, that you can tap off some of the glitter easier from the synthetic fibers and the shape is fall out friendlier than the 188/187. Then I would try it with regular blush, creamblush, foundation, bronzer…

Daniela Avatar

I would first try to use it for foundation (every large brush will be tried out first as a foundation brush by me, haha 😉 ~). I like the 187 for foundation, but hated the 130. I think the 131 would be great as it’s a mix of a traditional foundation brush and the 187. (after that I would probably use it for powder bronzer as I’m fair and hear it would be a good bronzer blush for lightweight application).

Lia Avatar

Im gonna use the mac 131 to practice applying bronzer this summer! I will also use it as an excuse to buy mor cream blushes!
Hoping to win,
lia

Ricci Avatar

Well I would say what Id use it for but Im not sure , what it is for? Face,Blush .eyes?
I only have 2 brushes for my eyes. I dont own a MAC brush, so I would love to win!

Twitter/Firebabe

Yunii Avatar

Hi Christine (my official passport name is also Christine btw)!
I would love this brush for my lustre drops in Pink rebel !
I always wanted a quite narrowly packed brush for my highlight regions (so far I have not found the perfect one)and I feel that Mac 131 brush is definitely the way to go !

Amy p Avatar

Ohhhh! I want this so badly, I’ve been using the 131 for applying my cream blush, and i think after what youve said about it this would work much better for that! I just cant let myself spend that much right now! Thank you so much for everything you do, I am addicted to checking your amazing site randomly through the day!

Jenine Avatar

I would use this brush for foundation and blush. I don’t have any mac brushes, so hopefully this could be my first one ( :

Tina Avatar

I would try it for both liquid fundation and blush application. I must say though that I prefer contouring angled brushes for blush application

Michelle Avatar

I would use it to apply my foundation because I dont own a good foundation brush and I think this one would be perfect! 🙂

JK Avatar

I want to try putting on moisturizer with this brush!!! I never thought of applying moisturizer with a brush so I really want to try!!!

Kristen Avatar

For blush, definitely. I have the 187 and I’m absolutely in love with it, so I think the 131 will make me die of happy haha!

Maggie Avatar

I definitely would use this brush on my brand new Benefit Sugarbomb blush! I’m also going to delve into the world of liquid foundation and would love to try this brush with that!

Karin Vaughan Avatar

I would first be very excited because it’s my first MAC brush and then I’d dance to my room and apply foundation like it’s a stipling brush 🙂

Fatima Avatar

I would use this brush for flawless foundation application. I am an up and coming make-up artist and it would be a great addition to my brush collection.

Lauren Avatar

i’m trying to get more supplies so i can do more photoshoots/whatever makeup with the right tools.
this would definitely help!
=]

johanna c. aldana Avatar

OMG IVE BEEN WANTING THIS BRUSH FOR ABOUT 3MONTHS BUT EVERY TIME I GO IN I NEVER GET IT CUZ ITS ALOT OF MONEY SO I ALWAY END UP BUYING SOMETHING ELSE CHEEPER. IVE BEEN WANTING TO USE IT FOR MY FOUNDATION BLUSH OR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING EVEN FOR SHIMMER . THANK YOU ALOT FOR GIVING US A CHANCE TO WIN SOMETHING.

Petra Avatar

For blush, MSF’s and maybe even powder bronzer. Thanks for these giveaway! 🙂
Wow, I’d be thrilled to win a MAC brush, they’re usually a real treat for me. (And I bet for many others :))

Jenna Avatar

I would use this brush for liquid foundation first! i’ve never owned a duo-fiber brush but really want to try one. the small size of brush will allow me to use it precisely 🙂 i love and look up to your blog xx

Hannelore Avatar

Oh this would be my very first MAC brush so I’d try it out with every face product I own :p I’d love to try it out for liquid foundation!

Thanks for the contest

grace Avatar

I would use the MAC 131 to apply my creme bronzers and blushes. It’s the perfect size for cheekbone application and I like that it’s flat and not rounded like the MAC 188. =]

lilsweetsjen Avatar

This is a FABULOUS brush I am sooo excited to be a new owner!!
The first thing I will use it for is my nars blushes.
They are so highly pigmented and this brush will pick up just the right amount of color.

Anglique Rodgers Avatar

I think this brush can be used in a variety of ways. It would a perfect size for putting blush right onto your apples of your cheeks and perfect for any powder finish to get right under your eyes cause of its rounded edge.

KrisBliss Avatar

I would use this brush for blush or bronzer. It gets right into the contour curves of your cheeks and really helps enhance the cheekbones. I love it for MSFs too…gosh, I love this brush!

Amy Avatar

I believe the only MAC brushes I have are the mini ones – those limited edition travel size ones. I really want a full size one though since the travel sets are sometimes… lower on quality I guess? 🙂

Amy Avatar

… and I totally forgot what I should be posting. I would use the 131 for blush I believe! Or maybe contouring – I think it works!

sarah k Avatar

A MAC MUA used this to apply a foundation swatch on my skin. Application looked good, so I think I’ll try it w/ my daily foundation routine! 🙂

Sara Avatar

I would use this brush for sooo many things – blush, contouring, all over powder, and even foundation – mineral or liquid – now thats what i call multi-use!

Hannah Avatar

I would try it out with cream blush first, I think! It seems versitle, so after the first attempt I’d give it a go for other purposes (highlight, maybe liquid foundation, etc)

Mariana Avatar

I would use it for blushes or highlighting powders with shimmer to apply them on the high point of my cheeks 🙂

tweeted 😀 (twitter: marianitamc)

Thanks Christine

Francine Avatar

I would use it for blush or my MSFs. One or the other. I can’t chose! If I win, I’ll probably buy another one so I can separate ones for blush AND MSFs!

madee Avatar

deffinetly foundation first, although it is a multi use brush, i would use in for foundation, and then clean it with some brush cleaser and put my powder and blush on!

Veronica Avatar

I would most likely use this brush to apply blush, since I don’t have a good blush brush at the moment. I just picked up Marine Life yesterday and I think this brush would work well for applying it.

Kyla Schofield Avatar

this brush looks like a good brush to use for blush or maybe with a msf or a great way to stipple on liquid foundation 🙂

Robin Avatar

I would love to win this, and would just experiment with it! I would probably use it to apply blush first because I’ve been using the 188– I just love the “skunky” looking brushes! 🙂

Refinement Avatar

I would use it to apply my tinted moisturize. Looks like it’s soft and fluffy and would be like butter against my skin!

LB Avatar

I would use this for my shimmer bricks and MSFs so I won’t go overboard on the shimmer and sparkle too much in the hot summer sun!

Sarah Avatar

I would use this brush to apply powder face products such as blushes and highlights. Its not too big and not too small, and I think it would be perfect for the job!

Fiza Avatar

Sleep with it. For realz. When i buy/get new stuff i tend to bring it to bed with me. And then i’ll use it for highlighting. 😉

Dree Avatar

First I would use this brush with no product to enjoy the softness of the bristles on my skin, Ahh! then I would use it as a foundation and blush brush!

liliana trujillo Avatar

i’ve been looking for just the right brush and can’t seem to find one for a cheap price. free sounds pretty reasonable:). i’d liike to use the brush for everyday use soo my skin can look great everyday

Jamie Avatar

I would use this brush to apply my foundation, because I don’t like heavy foundation I think this would be the best way to create that airbrush effect.

Karolina Avatar

I would use it for Mineralize Skinfinishes or any Highlighter really like Shell Pearl form Barbie Loves MAC. Also it would be great for bronzer.

NIKKI Avatar

i would actually use this for bronzer or contouring blush
maybe not the first thing that anyone would think of, but it seems manageable and like it;d work pretty well:]

Marisa Payne Avatar

First……I would use it for my Refined MSF so I could add some glow to my new summer tan! After that I would use it for so many other things!

Cheyenne Avatar

I am so thankful for finding this website!! I would use this brush for my blushes from now on. Right now I have one that I purchased as a beginner a while back. It’s not as great as it first was and it was cheap. I’d do anything to have a MAC blush brush. Maybe one day when I have bought all the make up basics that I’m wanting.

sarah Avatar

I would first wait for M.A.C’s up and coming collection “In the Groove” to release, when I will be buying my first MSF or 3…lol and I will try the 131 with Petticoat or Stereo Rose. Since the M.A.C site says the 131 is best for applying MSF’s.

emma Avatar
