The Summer Season: NYX Chloe Lipstick

NYX Chloe Lipstick ($4.00) is a darkened fuchsia-red with iridescent violet-fuchsia sheen. This is definitely a bold, bright shade with a frosty finish. I could see this shade working really well with some thick, retro liquid liner. I didn’t notice any scent on mine, but the taste is a little waxy, but I wasn’t particularly bothered by it (I rarely get any taste of my lip products other than when I taste deliberately for a review!). It’s a nice pop of color for under $5!

Is this the right pink lipstick for you? Would you wear it?

The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

I actually have this lipstick but for some reason I cant seem to pair it up with anything. I feel like its too dark, I guess I got used to wearing bright lipsticks lately

I don’t like the frost on a lot of NYX lipsticks, but the texture is smooth and nice. I’m so used to seeing you in pinks and corals, I think plums look lovely on you. Maybe you should venture into that family some more!

OMG this is so gorgeous!!! Unfortunately NYX is hard to come by in the UK – I may have to resort to Ebay. Can anyone let me know how drying/moisturising NYX lipsticks are? Thanks 🙂

You just can’t beat NYX lipsticks. Got a few of them just a couple of weeks ago and for the price and quality, they’re a major bargain. I like that a lot of them are named after Greek mythology. Medusa has to be my favorite lipstick from NYX as well as Eros, and I never wear anything red!

I love bright fuchsias! This color is inexpensive with a touch of frost for wearability. I think it’d be a great statement lips for the night out.

I’m envious of how you can pull off so many bright and bold shades, Christine! This looks really nice on you – but sadly, I suspect it won’t work for me.
