So adorable! I want the lipstick and the compact!
The whole collection is almost too cute for words! I like the look of the lipstick the best, although the mirrors and eyeshadow palette/clutch are also very cute.
I love Minnie Mouse! But this is underwhelming…the princess collection was better…but it never really got completed, did it? I only recall Cinderella, Ariel and Jasmine.
OMG! If my daughter sees this, I’m broke! How adorable are the mirrors?! Her Birthday is in July. She’s not wearing makeup yet. But, I may need to try to scrounge some cash for the handheld mirror and the lips stain set. Maybe even the brushes for one day. I personally love the lipstick and the luminizer. Omg! This is not good for the wallet at all! I hope other people don’t buy this stuff! Haha .
I LOVE this and really wish I was not on a no-buy! Uggghhhh. I wonder how big the palette is. The mirror is super cute too. Hope you will be reviewing these!
I am kinda over a lot of these cartoon collaborations. Mini Mouse, Hello Kitty, Betty Boop, etc…
Does anyone else kinda find them infantalizing?
They don ‘t have men’s razors with Mickey or Bugs Bunny on them.
I know you can’t really compare men’s grooming to makeup, and a lot of companies don’t go down this route.
But a lot of cosmetics are marketed with childlike themes. Maybelline “Baby Lips”, Too Faced’s packaging, Tarina Tarantino’s packaging, etc…
At least the Disney Princess lines by Sephora were kind of revamped to be more chic and mature?
(And where is the Mulan collection!?)
I do. I think they’re pretty silly, and I was over the “princess” thing when I was 5. If you’re old enough to buy makeup, you should be old enough to know that being a queen is much better. 😉
Is there anyone who doesn’t have a Disney collection now? Their greed is astounding. Imagine what companies have to pay to use their characters.
Holding out until they issue a Pluto or Goofy palette. Being a dog person, they are my favorite princesses. They are neutered, right? I have none, but being retirement age, no big surprise. The princesses were not a total media obsession in the fifties. We all had our ears and watched the original Mouseketeers, RIP Annette Funicello. Saw the movies. But we didn’t play princess all the time and go around with tiaras and wands. More Cowboys and Indians; there wasn’t much political correctness, obviously, either. Peter Pan. Poohsticks. Little Women. Never princesses, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc.
I think the collection is cute, but prob won’t bite, the unless they are drop dead wonderful. I do agree with the puerile nature of these collabs. Theme is the way to sell product.
I mean, it’s okay for people to like princess style and sweet themes, but there is just a lot of it lately. There are tons of other characters and themes available!
I don’t have a disney collection! But I’m still a filthy consumer 🙁
I don’t feel infantilized, personally. I like chic and classy, AND I like cute and fun. I think there can a place for both in an adult’s life, and much more besides. I don’t think enjoying animation — the imagination, the art, the humor, the princesses, or the nostalgia — makes someone childish or immature. I think it would be a very, very boring world if everything were made to someone’s concept of what was “stylish” or “adult” or “proper.”
Hey Zoe! I completely agree with you. These make-up collections are not suitable for over 35+ (in my opinion…please don’t taze me). But remember that there are more youngins in the world…so they need a good marketing strategy towards them.
How-ever I don’t mind if they put timeless icons like Betty-Boop on my make-up.
I can see where you’re coming from but I like them… Not all but there’s minnie and the Wonder Woman is coming home. For me, Minnie is bigger than all the others, it’s Minnie Mouse so it’s a classic I have to have, they can keep these other stuff. I love the design of these themed products… That’s what draws me in. I, personally feel that a woman is never too old to indulge in animated glory lol. Let them bring out a Mulan or Lion King and I’m all in. Strictly collecting.
Ahhh love this! Definitely going to try to get the lipstick. I really want to see swatches of the blush though, b/c peach blush shades tend to show up on me or don’t (sometimes I only get the glow, but you can’t see any color).
Oh no, this is totally not good fot my wallet!!!! I want them all!!
As a HUGE Micky and Minnie fan of many decades, gosh, I hope these do super well! I’m really excited for this collection!!! Mouse power, oh yeah! ???
Oh, I love cute stuff!! Who says packaging doesn’t matter??? I’m eyeing the shadow kit, that blush, and the lipstick. Hope the shadows score well.
Some cute packaging but I will not be buying as I don’t NEED anything from the collection.
Huge Disney fan here…will pick up at least the palette but also eyeing the lipstick, liquid lipstick set, and hand held mirror…..darn you sephora!
Oooooh that blush and lipstick. For the compact alone!
OK, these are seriously cute. I wonder about the quality, especially on the eyeshadow palette. I kind of want that lipstick, though.
Good point Rachel on the quality. I’m seriously considering the handheld mirror and brushes for my daughter as a gift. But, I want them to be sturdy and not cheap plastic. I’ll have to order ahead of time in case it’s a return. Thanks for being smart. 🙂
The lipstick and hand mirror are adorable. I like the lip stain colors too.
Soo getting the MINNIE-ATURE CREAM LIP STAIN SET because it the Sephora liquid lipstick formula in shades I don’t have. *__*
A very cute collection. I love the lipstick colour and the palette looks great with all those colours.
This entire collection is so cute! I really like the palette!
I am obsessed with Minnie…can’t wait.
Oh man… this is going to be a hard one! LOL I’ve loved Micky and Minnie since I was a kid, and I still do (I’m wearing Micky Mouse pajama pants as I type this!). I have a feeling I’m going to end up buying that eye shadow clutch, if the shadows review/swatch even reasonably halfway decent. I’ll make the excuse that I’m getting it for my daughter or niece. But I’ll be lying! LOL
I don’t usually go for “cutesy” and I’m not a huge Disney fan but some of this looks so delightful. I’d love to get the hand mirror for my daughter. I’ll also be curious to see how the eyeshadow palette performs (awful lot of pink shades in there for my liking…me and bright pink eyeshadows are not a happy mix)
These are adorable! I hope they are actually good quality (even though I can’t purchase them anyway)
It’s kinda weird that the word “mouse” doesn’t appear once in the promo copy. Do mice not sell well? Is Minnie Mouse just Minnie the non-human now? Scratching my head at this a bit.
This is adorable! I’m going to need that blush!
I’m not really feeling this. Though, I have different standards of cute than most!
I was just thinking of what makeup to take for my trips to WDW this year – I think (depending on how well it reviews) this eyeshadow palette might be it! Also interested in the eyeliner and lip stains. I know I’m doing Minnie Mouse nails for at least one of the trips (thanks, Jamberry!) so it’d be cute to know I’m wearing Minnie makeup as well.
i WANT!!! So cute!!
