Sneak Peek: Tom Ford Soleil Collection Photos + Swatches
Tom Ford Soleil Collection will be available shortly, and the brand seems to potentially be making a debut Sephora on April 1st (for cosmetics included in this launch!) specifically. Several items I received as press samples, and the remainder I pre-ordered for, but a lot of what I pre-ordered (all but one item) ended up being on backorder, so I’m not sure what availability will be at other retailers who have taken pre-orders, as a heads up. I ended up cancelling all but one of my pre-orders and ordering when it launched at Nordstrom.
I have Pineo Sole,Aphrodite,Les Mepris,and Revolve Around Me.I haven’t used them yet,I love your swatches for Solar Affair and Temptation Waits!Want those 2!I think Purple Rain looks similar to Lips & Boys Drake which I have so I’m going to pass on that one.I also love Scandola and Mustique!!!Im going to order these I was waiting for swatches to see how they looked on the lips.They look very nice on you Christine!I already have all the cream color for eyes and lip sheets in Skinny Dip and Paradiso from last year.I also purchased the highlighter Fire Lust.Do you have the radiant cream or the bronzing primer I would love to know your opinions on those products.
I reviewed Firelust awhile ago (when it first came out), and I don’t have the other products you asked about.
I was hoping I would like the moisture core lipsticks a little more. Maybe I’m super grouchy from loss of sleep. But, I love the idea. I will be watching for the reviews on Otrato and Cala de Volpe. Idk about the other lipsticks or not. I like Purple Moon and Les Mepris. But, they feel a lot like last years to me for some reason.
I do really like the looks of the other three products. Neiman’s has a cheek duo up too. Christine, or anyone is that a repeat? I was wondering if those were the blushes form the face palette form last summer? It feels like a lot of this collection is a repeat. Honestly, right now, I’m fine with that because my house is breaking me! I will have to wait until next week to buy any of this. 🙁
The only item I couldn’t buy was the cheek duo. Mine is on backorder at Neiman Marcus – I ended up getting three lipsticks from Nordstrom when they launched, and Neiman Marcus shipped the cheek trio that I pre-ordered (same time as the cheek duo).
So funny! As I popped up this review , the SA I work with at TF at Neimans texted me that the collection was in- all but Bicoastal. He is saying the store is supposed to get it mid April. I’ll probably snag one anywhere I can if it comes in though. 🙂
I wonder if they were delayed at all or if it sold through very quickly? I placed my pre-order pretty shortly after it went, but I did wait for Tom Ford PR to get back to me (they are nice enough to tell me what they have and can send so I can buy what I need but not more than, lol).
That was nice of them! Well, not sure. But they don’t have one in the display picture. But, I have heard of people stealing those or maybe they don’t have it out because it’s not available to sell.
I have an illness. It’s a slippery slope. I can’t stop looking at the lipsticks! Haha!
Have you tried the gloss fusion lipsticks from Dolce & Gabbana? Similar concept, only more pigmented and fully opaque. They are seriously some of my favorite lipsticks. Ever.
I just purchased and received a Dolce * Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Soiree and I love it!

Hi Christine, thank you for you post and swatches. This collection has many lovely pieces. I’m curious if you have any issues picking up product Given the payout of the pan in the Afternooner palette.
Am also curious if the consistency of the repromoted cream shadows are in the 2015 formula or the more emolient 2016 formula?
I’ve gotten several mini samples of blushes and lipsticks from Tom Ford…….but im thinking of spluring on one of these lipsticks! I only have Nubile lip shine
If Christine allows me to put this on her site, I would like other people to discover this service(not affiliated). I get the little pressed and panned lipstick and blush samples from Choix, btw. Its a cool way to try out high end stuff without paying an arm and a leg.
Thanks for the tip Leah! I’ve never heard of Choix, but looked at it. They have a number of HE shadows that I would like to get a small sample of. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to return shadows because they just melted on my oily lids, even with primer! And there’s no way I would use any of the store testers on my eyes or even face, and some of the HE brands (like Gucci, D&G) don’t have any counters near me, or the stores carry the brand but have a no-return policy
I bet The Afternooner and that Pieno Sole Cream Color are going to sell like hotcakes! Can you review those first, so if they are good, people can put in a pre-order? Thanks! Wow, Tom Ford is now at Sephora, maybe in time for Sephora sale? Well, with his prices, it’ll be easier to hit VIB Rouge status LOL I’m eyeing that Pieno Sole cream color and 4 of the lipsticks, Purple Moon, Temptation Waits, Pipa, and Otranto
Got psyched, until I looked at S.com. Much of this summer collection will be there…online 1 April, stores 15 April. But TF looks very abbreviated, at least with the current listing. God knows, S doesn’t update the website very often. But, no boys? No blush? (Still craving Savage.) No buy-o. My local has only Clinique instore for EL products. Doubt they will stock this. But, it’s a start.
Could be a test run for TF Beauty at Sephora or else they’re just kicking off a fuller launch with summer 🙂 But it is a good sign.
Some of the “Core” lipsticks look very moisturizing, I really love how Carriacou looks! Can hardly wait to hear whether these are worth getting one of!

Don’t mind me, I’m still half asleep! Thanks to my VERY loud, rowdy neighbors in back of my unit, I was kept awake until well after 3 a.m.! All the yelling sounded less like a party and more like a drunken brawl! ??
Ah those lipsticks are simply gorgeuous, all of them! But I can only swoon over them because they are completely unaffordable 🙁
These colors aren’t terribly exciting, but Aphrodite, Les Mepris, and Purple Moon are pretty. If the formula is especially comfortable, maybe I’ll try one, as I’ve really liked all the Tom Ford lip products I’ve tried so far.
I bought PIPA today and love it! The pinky-peach combo is perfect with my red hair. I pre-ordered Bicoastal as soon as I could. I saw The Afternooner today and it truly is massive! I’m skipping because I could never wear the bronzer.
Those bronzers look orange to me? Do they pull orange?
So many of these lipsticks look fantastic! I’m intrigued by the MoistureCore ones, in particular.
I love the trio palette and some lipstick (who remind me highly the dolce gabanna duo lipstick) But in France its too hard to buy it! Only in one store in Paris and just 2 store online (if im correct) And the worst it’s the price and sadly never coupon or reduction for this brand 🙁
The lipsticks don’t really excite me – not enough colour but that blush Afternooner – is WOW.
I have been wearing Aphrodite, Purple Moon and Temptation Waits and the formula is super moist! Maybe it’s a monitor color issue, but my Temptation waits is really a red brown color. It’s an odd color and had I swatched it in store I would not have bought it. Purple Moon is similar to TF other deep berry’s that he has except this one doesn’t stain which disappoints me. Aphrodite is beautiful and is what I expect from the line.
The Afternooner is worth it probably for the blush alone! It’s intense, beautiful and holy smokes- I was distracted during my application & obviously double dipped because when I looked at myself in a larger mirror I looked like a cherub baby. Whoa…gotta use a really light hand with that one.
My blush duo arrived just yesterday from TF.com & I haven’t tried it. But this was the most fractured delivery I ever experienced from his website. Nine items took 4 deliveries to get here and the worst part is you have to sign for all his packages. Such a hassle.
It’s a nice collection and I like the white compact. I can’t wait to see you in all the makeup Christine- you look so beautiful in pinky corals and such. Are you Tom Ford’s muse in disguise?

Just read your review on The Afternooner, and that one is deeeeeeeeefinitely my favorite from the collection so far! I can’t wait to see more from Les Mepris and Solar Affair, such pretty shades.

I’m not sure TF can make a bad lippie! I know the original Stavaros needed a touch of tweaking as did Wes but man he’s hits a lot of home runs!
Well, s*&t. The Afternooner looks absolutely stunning and I cannot resist, in spite of the ridiculous price. I guess I’ll be phoning my TF counter this a.m. to have one put on hold ….cosmetics junkie problems, am I right?? 😉
