Tom Ford Pieno Sole Cream Cheek Color ($68.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a light-medium, golden copper with warm undertones and a frosted shimmer paired with a natural sheen. Stila Bronze (PiP, $32.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Too Faced Snow Bunny (PiP, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). Salt New York Warm Tan (P, $16.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Sephora Jubilant (21) (P, $14.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Whisper of Gilt (P, $42.00) is lighter (90% similar). ColourPop Electric Slide (DC, $10.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Gold Deposit (P, $34.00) is darker (90% similar). NARS Jubilation (Right) (PiP, ) is darker (90% similar). MAC Oh, Darling! (P, $42.00) is lighter (90% similar). Too Faced Jingle All the Way Bronzer (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). ColourPop Butterscotch (PiP, $10.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Cream Cheek Color formula is supposed to “instantly brighten” the face for a “healthy glow and a natural burst of color.” It had a thin, emollient texture that had a light tackiness to it overall, but it applied well to the skin and went on evenly. The cream blush (bronzer?) worked well over bare skin as well as was workable when patted over liquid foundation (I used Tarte’s Rainforest as my base), but that light tackiness made it easier to work with over bare skin. The formula is comparable to the one in Pink Sand (released last year, and it was also re-released in this year’s summer launch). It had semi-opaque to opaque coverage with a natural sheen and finer shimmer than you’d think, going off of the swatch, once applied. It lasted for seven hours on me before turning patchy.

Thanks for getting these swatches and reviews up so quickly! This one is going to be too warm and orange on me, but I like the shimmer and luminous sheen, will be great for summer

I’m on the fence. I have this heading my way. I love Pink sand. So, I had to snatch it up. I think this may be nice into summer as I get a bit of color. I don’t wear foundation every single day so on those days, a pretty cream blush/ highlight are nice to have.

Well, I’m trying to figure it f this may work as a luminizer. I pick up color in the summer even when I don’t want to. I can always send it back and get something else if I don’t like it.

This really is gorgeous applied to your cheeks, I wasn’t so sure it would be anything whilst looking at it in the pan. But I am quite happy with my MAC Shaft Of Gold and Colourpop Butterfly Beach for my shimmer-bronze fix! Especially as summer creeps ever closer our way….must say I’ve been savoring our little chilly spell, haha!

I prefer peaches and pinks that show up on my skin – Oh, will you be reviewing/swatching the new MAC Blushing Ballerina products? I have already ordered a few. I usually wait for your reviews but had to go with my gut on these : )

I passed on Pink Sand last year but purchased it yesterday. It is gorgeous on my fair/medium skin. I want it to be sheer as I have a reddish face due to my half Irish genetics. It gives me a youthful, fresh look without making me look overheated. I like that it stays moist as I am a woman “of a certain age” and a bit of dewiness is flattering on my dry skin. This was a splurge due to the price but I am so pleased with it.
