The formula is supposed to have an “ultra-silky” texture that gives a “healthy-looking glow” and a “rush of fresh, radiant color.” The press release is more specific and says it’s supposed to have “buildable dewy color that lasts all day.” According to the brand, the blush formula is a reformulation, but I don’t have any shades in the previous formula to compare to (and it’s been awhile since I last tried one, so all I can say is that they feel, in general, a little smoother). The texture was smooth, thin, but blendable, though there were bits of looser sparkle–most of it didn’t translate on the skin, but the ones that do are visible on the skin. I wish they had gone for a finer shimmer, as it would look better on the skin (and it would also differentiate this from other plums in the range). It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable coverage that lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

Oh my goodness, EL is killing me with temptation! I’m going to check my blush stash and see if there’s a color I don’t have. I love the glowy finish, the elegant and convenient compact with mirror and brush, and if they dangle some promo ( cash back/sale/nice GWP) in front of me, I will probably cave.
Fingers crossed you have a dupe! 🙂
Beautiful, and it goes perfectly with your lip color.
Thank you!
I think it has a bit too much sparkle for everyday wear but I like it.
I could see that!
Very pretty fresh-faced look you’ve created today 🙂
Thank you, Pami!
Your makeup looks beautiful here, Christine. The two cream colour bases are simple yet super effective on your eyes.
I do like this blush. EL always manages to roll out gorgeous rose and mauve blushes which work well on my skintones. I do not have any of these dupes, but will pull up swatches of the older EL blush formula to compare.
I don’t know if it’s just the ones I picked, but they have a subdued/muted quality to them – and I think that makes them harder to dupe!
I know exactly what you mean and why I think they mimic natural flushed skin a little better.. look more subtle
A very pretty blush!
It is!
Another really softy natural blush by EL, yet not boring or bland either! So far, these are beginning to get my attention more than I would have for seen.
I like ’em! I will have to check out other shades should I ever get my butt to the mall, haha.
A pretty blush, but too warm and too much visible sparkle for me personally.
It was oddly sparkly, given none of the others I bought had such sparkle!
