We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Yes, I definitely agree that the lipgloss version of this shade is far easier for me and other more yellow or olive undertoned peeps out here to pull off!
Even so, I only own 2 lipglosses in shades even approaching this; Revlon HD Pink Sapphire and Maybelline LE Riveting Rose. Riveting Rose being truly gorgeous! Sephora Glossy Pink has been on my wishlist since last year, it at least has a *teensy* bit of warmth. So does Hourglass Ballet (perfection!).
Pink Sapphire is a fun one! 😀
They all look very pretty; I haven’t tried a single one! I’d probably go for the NYX or Revlon first since I usually like their gloss formulas. But the Hourglass lippie is tempting.
Good idea to try something easier on the wallet first!
I’m not much of a gloss person, but Scandal might be dark enough to look good on me.
I think it might be!
So much prettiness! I have Funnel Delight, Scandal, and HD Tourmaline (my favorite!). Rocket City Cool Your Jets in Frequent Flyer is a pretty one. I also really like Nyx Butter Gloss in Strawberry. It is really sheer, but it gives a pretty candy pink tint to my lips (which aren’t very pigmented; I don’t know how it looks on darker lips). Hard Candy Glossholic in Fairy is my favorite light cotton candy lipgloss with sparkles. The gloss itself is a very sheer light cotton candy pink, but the pink and holographic mega sparkles make up for it. It’s beautiful over pink lipsticks.
Love a holographic gloss!
MAC Candy Yum Yum and Pink Poodle
Nice!
I can’t recall if I have the Revlon one. I think I do. My lip gloss stash is much neglected.
Sounds like you need to wear some gloss soon 😉
I like Scandal and Glossy Pink 16 the most but really liked them all.
Yay!
I find that all of these glosses are clear bright pinks and not cotton candy, since cotton candy
is a sheer super light pink…like cotton candy.
I know that when I’ve seen it described by brands, it’s usually a bright, light-medium pink with strong blue undertones 🙂 Even when I look at pictures of cotton candy, the amount of pink seems to vary, plus it can get darker with moisture, so maybe that’s why we see variance!
