LORAC Ultraviolet Color Source Buildable Blush ($22.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a slightly muted, medium lavender purple with cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. Lethal Cosmetics Hybrid (P, $15.50) is lighter (90% similar). Urban Decay Bittersweet (DC, $26.00) is warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Daddy (P, $5.00) is brighter, cooler (85% similar). ColourPop Leopard (LE, $5.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Lethal Cosmetics Cryostasis (P, $15.50) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (80% similar). Give Me Glow Lilac Euphoria (P, $14.00) is lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Color Source Buildable Blush formula is supposed to offer–you guessed it–buildable color coverage with a “silky-smooth” consistency available in matte and satin finishes. It had semi-sheer, buildable coverage that I was able to get to semi-opaque coverage after three layers of product. The texture is thin, lightly dusty, but it was fairly smooth overall. This particular shade could have blended a little more easily on the skin, but it wasn’t too much extra work/buffing to diffuse (at least it was possible without lots of tricks!). On me, it wore for eight hours before fading. This is one of the more unique shades of lavender I’ve come across, and I’m happy to see it’s a permanent shade.

Very cool shade! I could see this working quite nicely paired with a lipstick like CP Marshmallow, MAC Men Love Mystery or Nars Dominique!
At this time, I’m trying to decide between those 3 lipsticks, because I’ve been aching for a lavender-ish lipstick. I may go try Dominique on for size today. Barney’s is going to leave SFS in May, I believe. I’m not a fan of Barney’s, but the are the only place to get that lipstick.

Oh yes, finally a cooler purple blush! Most purple blushes lean pink, but this one leans bluish, harder to dupe. I have CP Leopard, but it’s darker, and not as good quality or pretty as this one. Hmmm, if I catch a sale, I might grab this one, thank goodness it’s permanent 🙂

It’s nice to see a wearable lilac blush, I’ve not tried one before. Interesting to see it’s cheaper than the UD Afterglow dupe, tho the latter has a better mark.

It is a little more unique with cooler undertones. I have really strong red tones around my nose and cheeks–most lavender or purple blushes, even UD Bittersweet, turn pink or plum on me. I really wanted ColourPop Daddy but of course when I went to buy it it was no longer listed on the site. So I bought Leopard, which works but it’s definitely a deeper color.

To add sheen to a blush, I pop a cream highlighter that’s close to my skintone underneath. It usually makes the blush last longer too.

I have this! I was afraid to wear it for a while because it swatched soooo purple! But I ended up wearing it and really liking it! Btw I used it as eyeshadow too (along with a few other colors) in the same look and it worked great!
I really want to pick up Cinematic next, it looks gorgeous. It’s always sold out tho!

Looks beautiful on you! I’m a sucker for any color in the purple family. Happy it scored well, but I don’t know if I can pull off this color on my skin tone. My favorite is the Art Deco Glam Vintage Highlighter and Eyeshadow powder that I picked up in Germany a couple years back. I use it as a blush instead of on the eyes and it is beautiful!
