Make Up For Ever Smooth Talker (13) HD Blush
Make Up For Ever Smooth Talker (13) HD Blush ($25.00) is a soft, pale petal pink. This is a very, very cool-toned pink that looks and applies quite sheerly. On my skin, it makes me look a little corpse-ish, but I can imagine it looking incredible on my fairer friends. It reminds me a bit of MAC Well-Dressed blush but in a cream form.
I’ve reviewed the HD Blushes in the past, but to recap: the formula is smooth, creamy, and applies easily. It dries down quickly so you don’t find it migrates while you wait, but it gives you enough time to blend it out. The formula is fantastic with its creamy feel and long-wearing finish. The packaging itself could use a little tweaking, as the pump delivery system inevitably pumps out much more than you need.

That is really really pretty. Although I’ll probably do another shade since I have enough pale pinks, but the color alone looks gorgeous.
I have fair skin, but I had to return this. It barely showed up on my skin, and made me look “corpse-y” too! I think #14 Star Struck is a fantastic option for fairer skintones. I wear it a ton! It’s such a lovely pale peachy pink. 🙂
I’m surprised it made you look corpse-y, too!
Pretty, but definitely not a color I would wear.
A shade with more peach would probably look prettier
I lovelove the products by MUFE and I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these blushes.
That is a gorgeous color. I played with it in the MUFE boutique but it is not for someone of my complexion in any way shape or form. 1,2,3, 8, and 12 are best for NC43-45, in my opinion. These blushes are top notch, though.
Oooh I want this! I really need to get to a sephora to swatch the MUFE cream blushes. This color may be my favorite, but i also loved Nip Slip and one or two of the other bright ones. This might be the most wearable for me though.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
When you said it was like MAC’s Well Dressed blush, I WAS SOLD! Its my all time fav. blush so I think I have to have this one now 🙂
The color’s gorgeous! I just got a sample of the peachy corally one -forgot the name!
I have very pale skin and I love this. It’s a bit hard to get right because it’s very cool and very pale, but when I do it makes me look like a porcelin doll.
I don’t have issues with the pump Christine! I just tap it and it’s the perfect amount to work from and if I need a little more I tap it a little more 🙂 I love these blushes!
That’s good! 🙂
teehee, I love cool pink shades even though I’m a bit too dark to wear them. I wear em anyway 😀
I have Walk of Shame and find that one a bit too corpse-y too-and I am a light skin tone.
ooo it’s so pretty!
I really like the MUFE HD blushes 😀
WOW! I would love to have this to put down as a base for MAC’s Well Dressed. Yep, need this one too! 🙂
Hi Christine,
I ask you this a while ago but can’t find your answer. Do you use your fingers to apply or a brush? If so, which brush? The 187 or 188?
Also, do you know which one of these would be similar to Mac’s tenderling? I am NC25 so I don’t want to get washed out either.
Thanks!
I use the 188. Maybe In the Spotlight or Skinny Dipping? I haven’t seen the entire range, but those seem like they might work as shades similar to Tenderling.
Its so pretty im gonna hunt this next time im at sephora..i hope the canadian ones have it allready.
Couldnt wait for this product to come out! …However, I was disappointed that I couldnt find a colour that I like…
i LOVE the color i wish it was cheaper though.. 🙁
i love bright colors i don’t look good in darker ones
I was so excited when I ordered this blush because I’d been looking for a color like this for a while and heard rave reviews. It’s probably something I’m doing wrong but every time I attempt to put this on it mixes with my foundation and creases up into my pores which are pretty microscopic actually. OH and heaven forbid I try to fix it with translucent powder. I have to take off all my make up and start over every time. It’s a long story but I messed up my order and ordered two of them. Tragic, right? So I REALLY need to figure out how to use this blush. Plus, I’m head over heels for this color. I can’t find one tutorial on this. If you could give me a few pointers I would be eternally grateful.
Thank you!
Hey Lauren,
Do you think you are putting it on too quickly? Like maybe your foundation takes a little longer to set? What are you using to apply? I find a stippling brush (like MAC’s 187, 188, or 130) seems to work really well.
Let me know! 🙂
