Is it me or does Rosecliff look like a more opaque, slightly cooler version of Dolce Vita? Not loving the gloss swatches. Tarvos looks lovely swatched (as does Cressida) – curious for the review…although will need to weight the option of the shade singles vs. the YSL and Dior Spring palettes (depending on those reviews).

I really like the look of Cressida and Tarvos! I like Impassioned, too, because a like a subtle blush, and it looks like it’s a slightly warm one that’s not at all orange and thus could be flattering on me for when I wear warm-toned lipsticks. Looking forward to the full reviews!

I’m digging this collection, specially the Banned Red lipstick and the eyeshadows! The lipglosses look like they settle a lot on the lip lines, but I’m not a lipgloss gal anyway.

Ray Avatar

Ooooh, pretty! I’ll be honest: I hadn’t expected to see a dark blue eye shadow so soon after that Gwen palette. I’m loving all of the watercolor tones in these new spring collections. This one isn’t quite so whimsical as the MAC fairy or the new Dior one, but it’s probably the most wearable one I’ve seen so far.

It’s a relief to see that the big brands are pulling away from the skintone-on-skintone contoured look in such an obvious way.

Thanks Christine! I’m kinda glad that I’m not tempted by those! Especially for the blue one, which I want the most, looks like Colour Pop Etiquette. And I kinda believe ColourPop would have a better performance regardless of the price tag. Anyway, my wallet says “whew” lol.

Can’t wait for your reviews, Christine. I really like Banned Red and it’s nice to see that light green shadow in the DI line, though I feel it’s really no longer a very original colour. I do wish they’d introduce a darker green in that formula (and won’t be surprised if I see one come out for fall next year). Liking the look of the blush too, though it might be a bit too pale and chalky for me.

The blush is the only thing I want from this collection, which is a good thing, LOL! It’s no Douceur, but I think it could work in its place for many looks… The eyeshadow duo is pretty, but too warm, which has been the case for the last few NARS collections, but it’s nice to see some neutral duos being added for those with deeper/warmer coloring.

Historically have crushed on Nars spring reds, not always done. Banned is no exception. Adored his reg l/s until he did audacious formula. Now that’s a high bar to jump. Still will have to swatch it. E/s look lovely. The usual downside to the glosses. That blush will look lovely on many. Altogether, looks quite promising.

Kristy Avatar

Sigh. I don’t think those colors are going to do anything for my medium/tannish skin tone. I might as well wear translucent powder everywhere. That blue though!!

This is gonna be hard: Tarvos or MAC Silver Sun? Both beautiful minty shades with a touch of sage! So far, I *obviously* love Tarvos, and also Kari DI for a pretty rosey lid shade that doesn’t run too pink. The Impassioned blush looks gorgeous, although it is most likely too light for my complexion. Same goes for Rosecliff lipstick: beautiful, but?

Mary Avatar

I am really liking Kari eyeshadow and Impassioned blush I hope they get good scores when you review them! I’ll totally be keeping my eye out for these when they hit stores, thanks for the preview!

BonnieBBon Avatar

I don’t wear blue eyeshadow. Ever. But that blue….it makes me swoon! I love the blush and shadows but not impressed with any of the lippies. I sure would like to see some new Audacious shades. I have a shameful amount already but that formula is looooooove!!

Taj Avatar

Being a beauty junkie for so many years, I got almost every single colour in my vanity table, but NARS would always inspire me when I see his new collection colours =D

Bonnie Avatar

Omg those new dual intensity eye shadows are to die for. Must have Tarvos and Kari!!! Cressida is gorgeous but I feel like I have lots of dupes and don’t wear that color often. Except the lipglosses, I totally love the whole collection – and that’s rare for me with Nars!

brittany Avatar

I actually enjoy this collection a lot … seeing so many dark colors for fall/winter this year, it’s nice to see light and fresh colours for spring. Great way to begin the new year. On my wish list so far is Rosecliff and Banned Red lipstick, Vida Loca lipgloss, Hammamet Eyeshadow due, Impassioned blush and Tarvos Dual Intensity Eyeshadow. I hope they all do well.

Alecto Avatar

I like that you can buy a neutral eyeshadow duo, and then a single with a pop of color to go with. Seems well thought-out. Also, Banned Red is amazing — I really like the subtle, slightly brown, slightly sheer effect; looks like a really good “starter” red for someone easing their way into reds (assuming warm reds work for them). Curious to see the dupes. If there’s nothing exactly like it, I may have to get myself a NARS lipstick.

Cathy Avatar

The single shadows and the blush are GORGEOUS ♥ They are all on my spring *must-buy* list! I agree that the lipsticks and glosses look pretty dupable, though. Which is good for my wallet, I suppose lol.
