Aww, Mellan basking in the sun!
*Haul –Charlotte Tilbury Nocturnal Eyes Sets in The Huntress, On the Prowl, and Midnight Seduction. I swatched them on my hands, and they are stunning!! Beautiful metallic shadows with micro glitters/shimmers, and surprisingly, no dupes in my stash either. Colour Pop shadows ( DGAF, Moonshine, Stereo, backup of Rhinestone), eye liners ( Timber, No Shame, Piggy Bank), and lip pencil (Rayezor), love them all. Paula’s Choice Resist Vitamin C15 Super Booster -after my friend kept raving about this, I tried a sample, and got the full size. Brightens the skin overnight. It keeps selling out, but I signed up for email notification and caught a 25% off sale and free shipping
*Weekend – friends birthday lunch, cook, more returns, testing more makeup
*Last movie – Gone Girl Girl

Katherine T. Avatar

Oh, and BITE Shiraz (love!!), Dr. JART Water Replenishment Mask, and Josie Maran Whimsical Wonder Argan Kit on sale (argan oil, liquid illuiminizer, coconut cheek color, coconut shadow, and argan oil mascara)

Katherine T. Avatar

I’ve only swatched the eyeliners on my hands (the testers in store and mine at home), and I didn’t notice any major issues, but haven’t tested on my eyes yet. I do have her liner in Bedroom Black, and it’s very smooth, pigmented, and long-wearing, so I’m hoping the others are good too. Will report back.

Haul: Skincare! Picked up the Origins mask gift set and a full size of the charcoal pore-clearing mask at duty-free last weekend. So far, I’m loving the charcoal mask – it really does what it says and even works to draw out infections on the skin. (TMI: I had an infected follicle on my leg from scratching this week and I put a little dab of the charcoal mask on the wound before washing it off after 5 minutes. Worked a treat!)
Weekend plans: Finishing up the last of the holiday shopping.
What was the last movie you saw?: STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. It was better than I thought it’d be for a massively overhyped franchise.

Tova J Avatar

Haul: I think I’ve only bought christmas presents this week!
Weekend plans: We’re going to see Star Wars!!!! I’m also going to shop for the last christmas presents. Maybe I should clean my room too now that you’re mentioning cleaning.
What was the last movie you saw?: “En underbar jävla jul”, swedish comedy, I didn’t like it that much though.

Haul: MUFE 15 Artist palette, Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation, L’Oreal Glistening Garnet eyeshadow
Weekend plans: My husband and I are in Belize for vacation! We’re going to see Mayan Ruins and ride horses this weekend. We leave Monday for a beach called Placencia for a few days! All the while I’m keeping up with my Temptalia posts!! (You should have Temptalia t-shirts or other merch for readers to post pictures from different locations! Just for fun :D)
What was the last movie you saw?: Rewatching HP movies is one of my favorite pastimes! We just watched the first Avengers movie before bed last night. I forgot to bring my copy of The Holiday! Super bummed about that!

Joyce Avatar

It’s lovely. We’re staying with family friends so it’s more like relaxed living than a tropical vacation, which I love. It’s SUPER HUMID HERE MY GOODNESS. The Mayan ruins were so neat!

http://crosstrainingcouture.com has examples of flowy tanks that are super cute. Or just a regular old printed t-shirt with the Temptalia logo and name would be nice! In white, pink, or black…! 😀 And coffee mugs, and organizer stickers, and farmer’s market bags, and… you get the idea 😉

Jennifer Avatar

Haul: Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipstick in Lolita II and the Bite Rewind matte lip crayon set
Weekend Plans: finishing up wrapping christmas gifts and relaxing. probably watch christmas movies 🙂
What was the last movie you saw? Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules on Disney channel last night with my family lol, it’s actually a sweet and funny family film

Haul: Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight, thank you for convincing me I needed it Christine! The finish and formula was what I hoped it would be, and the colour was more flattering on me than I expected! That, and a repurchase of my Holy Grail Armani Luminuous Silk Foundation.

Weekend Plans: Finish Christmas shopping
Last Movie I Saw: Inside Out, and it was fantastic!

Haul: Several random lipsticks from a local BSS, which were impulse buys, as I originally went in to buy L.A. Girl concealers in Porcelain, Toast, & Mahogany. I also grabbed 2 L.A. Girl Velvet Highlighters from a different BSS. I had $8 in CVSBucks from last week (I bought some e.l.f. brushes & 2 CG Star Wars lipsticks-30 & 50), so I grabbed the e.l.f. HD Powder & HD Undereye Setting Powder. I took advantage of the $20 off at Sephora and treated myself to Lancome Teinte Idole Ultra in 140 Ivoire (N) & a Sephora MicroSmooth Baked Luminizer in Star Dust.

Plans: Nothing much… My daughter has her Social Skills class Sunday, and we may go to the mall after (I really don’t want to, as it will likely be a madhouse, but my mom wants to go…). Winter Break starts tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to sleeping in at some point!

Movie: The Peanuts Movie. It was actually much better than I expected it to be!

Ginny Avatar

No purchases this week (nothing for me until January).
I have a few Christmas get togethers this weekend.
Last movie at home: Empire Strikes Back (rewatching before I see the new one)
Last movie at the theater: Spotlight. 10/10 must see.

Haul: (I’m still cut off. How am I doing?!)

Drugstore.com: (20% Off): Kevin Murphy Shimmer Shine Repairing Shine Mist, Kleenex Expressions (Betsey Johnson), Cleanlogic Exfoliating Body Scrubber (2)

9 West Hair Studio: Kevin Murphy Angel Wash, Kevin Murphy Full Again

Walgreens (25% Off): Kevin Murphy – Angel Rinse for Fine Colored Hair, Session Spray Finishing Spray, and Born Again Essential Treatment. This is a second order because I realized the 25% off was a really great deal after paying full price for the other products at the salon. I also picked up a Philips Sonicare toothbrush and replacement heads.

Saks: (20% Off): Fix It 2-In-1Prime & Conceal (Light). A blogger friend of mine in England recommended this product. It’s supposed to conceal dark circles, blemishes, and prime the lips. I tried it as an under eye concealer and it was amazing! I’m going to try it as a lip primer this weekend.

Laura Geller (Secret Sale): Prime & Extend (3 – each comes with a primer and mascara), Eye Desire Kohl Eyeliner (Midnight Marion), Cool Lids Cream Shadow (Mermaid Marine, Lavender Lagoon, Opal Oyster, Bronze Beauty, Silver Sands) – I had bought a trio of these before and they are really wonderful as a sheer swath of color or as a base to make other shade “pop”, Spackle Supercharged Fortified Under Makeup Primer in Roller, Spackle Sample (Bronze). Happily with the sale and my points, I scored all this for less than $40!

HSN (20% Off): Jay Manuel Beauty Ultimate Lipstick (Lovebite). I wish the coupon extended to more than 1 item. I bought a JMB lipstick and eyeshadow quad a while back and the lipstick is literally one of the best quality ones I have (stunning shade, opaque with 1 swipe, long wearing, doesn’t settle in creases, moisturizing). I LOVE the fact that he puts the shade color right on the end of the tube – no guessing! The shadow quad is also excellent (long wear, almost no fallout). I’ll be looking to scoop up more of his line as I get promos. (I get promos for his site but his direct shipping cost is ridiculous…like $16 for standard shipping!)

Bobbi Brown (25% Off): Sequin Eye Shadow (Star Beam), Sterling Nights Lip Color (Nude), Samples – Extra Repair Moisture Cream, Extra Eye Repair Cream

Ulta (Platinum 20% Off): Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum, Peptide Renewal Cream, Cellufirm Drops, and Whitening Mask and Cosmetic Bag (GWP); Benefit They’re Real! Tinted Primer Mini (GWP), 3 Free Samples

Weekend plans: Weekend mani. I have an appointment Saturday for a cut and color. I was originally going to cut my hair off but since I found the Kevin Murphy products I don’t have to – YAY!

What was the last movie you saw?: I rarely go to the movie theater. I watch movies on cable all the time so…not sure.

Michele @Binxcat4ever Avatar

There’s very little “out there” about his line. From what I’ve seen, his lipsticks and blushes seem to get the most positive reviews. I actually found another HSN coupon and ordered a third lipstick (Bright Pink) which just shipped. There are a few more I want based on the 3 swatch charts his staff was kind enough to send me. The eyeshadow quad that I purchased (Narcotic – these are shades of grey) was really good. The only shade I had some fallout with was the darkest grey and most likely it was bc I failed to tap my brush off first. The shadows blended well and lasted all day without creasing. I believe I have a pic I took wearing the lipstick in Urge. If I can find it, I’ll upload it under your Looks page.

Sunday Riley Power Couple skincare set – I hope you review this one! I’ve been eyeing it for a while

Haul: Zahara Beauty x Trendmood Beauty Tray. I’m so excited about this because I’ve been looking for something like that for SO long
Weekend plans: Clean! Wrap the last of the presents
What was the last movie you saw?: some zombie movie on Starz (I think). It was pretty good. None of the characters made any mistakes that was deemed unnecessary

Rachel R. Avatar

Haul:
*Ofra Liquid Lipsticks in Havana Nights, Miami Fever, Fifth Avenue, and Times Square.
*Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer; blush in True Love; deluxe samples of Lights, Camera, Flashes and Lights, Camera, Splashes.
*MAC All I Want. I caved. I have a dupe, but it’s not as intense. This one actually looks great alone on the lips, and I like it a lot more than I thought I would. It really catches the light when I move.
*MAC Von Teese. It’s so incredibly creamy. I absolutely love it! I think it’s a super-flattering red on me.

I was all set to buy the Too Faced blush palette, but my husband said I couldn’t. He never tells me how to spend my money, so I suspect I’ll find it under the tree Christmas morning.

Weekend plans: Wrapping Christmas presents and cleaning house. We need to get the bunny a new toy or two and some berry flavored yogurt chips and dried mango for his stocking.

What was the last movie you saw?: In theater: “Crimson Peak.” At home: “Stonehearst Asylum.” We’re planning to see the new Star Wars movie, but we didn’t want to go opening day.

Rachel R. Avatar

I really like Ofra’s formula. It’s a bit creamier than Kat von D or Anastasia, but still dries down all the way. My lips don’t find them drying at all. I still like Jeffree Star’s formula better, but these are almost as good. The metallics aren’t as opaque on the lips as I’d like on the first layer, but at least the formula allows for layering. The biggest downside is they have a chemically “makeup” scent to it, but I don’t notice it once it’s on my lips. The two Kathleen Lights shades really are gorgeous warm burnt orange shades, with Havana Nights being darker and having more red, while Miami Fever is more of a terra cotta. I’m very pleased with them.

Abir Avatar

I hope you review the fora liquid lipsticks. Everyone keeps saying they’re hands down the best liquid lipstick formula. They’re like the holy grails of liquid lipsticks: long wearing but not drying.

Ida Avatar

haul: I got the Insta Wave ‘automatic hair curler’ with some Christmas gift money. I am looking forward to see if it works, but technically I shouldn’t use it until Christmas.
I also lost my Clinique concealer, so I picked up a Maybelline Fit me. I don’t use it that often to justify a med/high end one. Especially if I go and loose them.

plans: get and decorate Chrismas tree with the kids. bake cookies.

Nicole Avatar

I’d love to know your opinion on the Guerlain loose Les Violettes!
Haul: Just. the Too Faced Bon Bon palette, the MJB highliner set, and Chanel Golden Sun blush this week. I ordered a couple other things. But, trying to get all my Christmas gifting done and it has not been kind to my wallet!
Weekend Plans: I need to get my gifts wrapped today. I have to do Christmas early. My daughter and I are going on a mini trip to see some friends Mon-Wed. After that, I will do Christmas with my daughter before she goes to her dad’s on Christmas. Unfortunately, I have to spend the Holiday and a week after without her. Going to be hard for me.
The last movie I saw was: The Peanuts movie! It really was not good. I don’t recommend it. But, my kid wanted to see it.:)
Happy Holidays!

I reviewed it previously, actually! http://www.temptalia.com/guerlain-les-voilettes-translucent-loose-powder-mattifying-veil-review-photos-swatches

I can only imagine what a tough week it will be for you, Nicole! I hope you can distract yourself by playing with some of your goodies 🙂

He looks sooo happy! Mellan is probably loving this very chilly (cold!) weather we’re having here! ?

Haul: MAC x Mariah Carey All I Want lipstick, MAC Irresistibly Charming Lip Gloss set in Nude. All I Want looks so sexy underneath sheer nude lipstick like MAC VG V or Deelight Cremesheen Lipglass! I love it, but yes I do have to wear lip liner, and ombre’ it.

Weekend plans: My usual routine of doing my weekly hair blowout, my nails look absolutely hideous right now, so I’ll have to go shorter. Weird thing is, I do wear a deep moisturizing hand cream at night, but it’s been so dry and chilly that my hands look and feel awful!!!? Also need to get my mind geared up for my upper GI endoscopy on Monday. Twice under general in only 3 weeks! ?

Last movie you saw: Up! With my son and 2 little grand-daughters! That movie brought tears to my eyes!

Kate Avatar

Haul: I just got my Boxycharm, so whatever was in the December box (if that counts), otherwise, I haven’t bought anything. I’m saving money for christmas presents and waiting for after christmas to haul!

Weekend plans: Stay in tonight with the bf and catch up on shows! we might go out this weekend but who knows.

What was the last movie you saw? Addam’s Family!

Haul: From over the last few weeks; Ofra Havana Nights liquid lipsticks, NYX Dewy Makeup Spray, Nars Audacious l/s in Bette, Josie Maran body butter and First Aid Beauty face wash and brightening pads travel kit.
Got some more Sephora stuff to make VIB for the first time but I’ll have that next week!

Weekend plans: See a play and Star Wars

Last movie: Mockingjay Part 2

Mariella Avatar

Haul: Becca Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector, Josie Maran Whimsical Skin Perfector kit (something like that, anyway).

Weekend plans: a housewarming, a bridal shower and lots of wrapping (I hate wrapping presents!)

What was the last movie you saw? – at the movies, it was probably The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel or The Imitation Game. At home – no idea!

Claire L Avatar

Haul: Not much for once! Mostly Xmas present shopping. I did go to TKMaxx though and Boots where I got discounted Cowshed Gorgeous Cow body lotion (yum!) from the first shop and then Sally Hansen nail polish top and base coats, Nanogen shampoo, conditioner and scalp tonic spray (hair is a bit thin having been so anaemic!) and Max Factor Miracle Match foundation in 40 Light Ivory, all from Boots.

Plans for weekend: Travelling up to my parents’ house for Xmas with my little girl and then settling in.

Last movie I saw: Fidelio: Alice’s Journey. I often go to watch arty foreign films with my fiancé as they’re subtitled – I’m deaf so it’s difficult to get to watch subtitled films. This film was a bit raunchy lol but it had a good story so we enjoyed it.

Helene Avatar

I will have to go all next year without buying anything, unless it’s really unique as this final haul of the year (I hope) turned out to be a lot costlier than I had planned it to be. Spontanious shopping isn’t always the best, but I don’t regret buying any of the following:
From MAC, Matte Royal, late, but it’s been sold out every time I’ve tried toget it, Viva Glam Miley Cyrus (1), Black Night and Ring My Bell.
From Urban Decay, the Gwen Stefani palette and the 5 travel size eyeliner set.
From MUFE Artist Shadows 1 the neutral 9 shadow palette
From OPI Worth a Pretty Penne
From Essie Aperitif
From Isadora Black Galaxy nail polish
From Sephora Cookie Crunch – Nacré Shimmer eyeliner
From Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
From Clarins Bodylotion
From Guerlain eye creme
And finally, in two ways, from Tom Ford Malik, so ridiculously expensive I almost cried. Love the lipstick, but I doubt I’ll splurge on anything else from TF unless it’s really unique.
I also really love MAC Black Night, I find it very wearable to be honest.
I’ve also bought some vintage and antique belt buckles and brooches from ebay, now that is a dangerous place 🙂

Weekend. Cleaning, sorting and throwing stuff away. Grooming the dog. Trying my new makeup 🙂

Last movie, I feel very silly, but I can’t remember. Some action movie with Tom Cruise, not a new one. It was on TV. At the movies, I really have no idea, haven’t been for years. Very odd, really as I love movies.

Anne Avatar

Haul: nothing this week (except some much needed rain gear from Columbia’s sale)

Weekend plans: Chill out and stay out of the way of the windstorms hitting Portland.

What was the last movie you saw?: I rewatched “Belle” the other day, which is a fantastic movie from 2013 directed by Amma Asante about a woman from the late 1700’s whose mother was a slave and her father was white, and she was raised by his family. It’s about identity, and love, and art, and a particular legal case about slave ships and based on a true story, and it’s FANTASTIC. It’s very nuanced, and at times pretty depressing, but is just soooo good and everyone should watch it. It was probably the 10th time I’ve watched it.

Genevieve Avatar

What a happy looking doggie he is!
Haul: Just some skincare products
Weekend plans: Being 41 deg Celsius – I aim to do little today, but with the shopping centres open till late, I will do some Christmas shopping.
Last Movie watched: Last Thursday I watched the DVD of Gravity with my son. It was a really good movie.

Erin Avatar

Haul: Sunday Riley Power Couple! We’re twinsies!
Weekend: Oy… Laundry is being done right now, I’m making a big batch of soup tonight.

My husband just found out he’s going to be away on business for 3 months and he needs a “new” wardrobe according to some higher ups and it’s not “negotiable”. So there will probably be a lot of clothes/shoes/accessories shopping that we have absolutely no money for! We have to figure out what is good to use still and what we need to replace, update, or get entirely new. We also have to pick up my husbands handgun that his dad finally shipped. Due to still technically being on call for work this weekend, Star Wars is pushed until Tuesday. We also have friends for gaming on Sat if he’s not working and our usual Sunday food shopping.

I was supposed to go to Sephora and get another Mix & Mingle and try to get 012 but that’s probably not going to happen. I was also going to see if they have the cleanser I want to try in but I doubt it. I may ask the brand for a press sample. I’ve never done it before but I don’t want to buy something so expensive unsampled as I feel like a heel for returning things!
Last Film: Trainwreck! It had it funny moments and it’s cute.

Meghan Avatar

Haul: nada this week! I’m at my in-laws for a while, so my online hauls are building up at my mom’s 😉
Weekend plans: I’ve been on vacay for a week! I don’t really have any weekend plans that are different from the last week 🙂
What was the last movie you saw?: Hmm, probably one that was on TV? Maybe part of Forgetting Sarah Marshall

WARPAINTandUnicorns Avatar

Haul: Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Eyeshadow Palette.

Weekend plans: Relax…… Not! Last minute gift idea’s and getting ingredients for baking. I make soft gingerbread cookies every year. I’m still making them the same way I use to with molasses ans splenda so my Dad at the time could eat them without worrying as much about spiking his sugar.

What was the last movie you saw?: Krampus…. the Anti-Santi

WARPAINTandUnicorns Avatar

I modify this one:

Gingerbread

3/4 cup molasses (I use Fancy rather than Blackstrape)
1/3 cup packed brown sugar (I sub the equivalent in Stevia this year)
1/3 cup water
1/8 cup butter, softened
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice/nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions
1. In a medium bowl, mix together the molasses, brown sugar, water and butter until smooth. Combine the flour, baking soda, allspice, ginger, cloves and cinnamon, stir them into the wet mixture until all of the dry is absorbed. Cover the dough and chill for at least 3 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out into desired shapes. Place cookies 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from the cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.

• PREP 25 mins
• COOK 10 mins
• READY IN 3 hrs 45 mins

Other tweeks, I do a double batch with 5 non leveled cups of flour. I add a third more of the spices. So I double the spices for the batch than add one more for a single bacth of spices in. (I hold back slightly on the cloves.)

I also don’t let it rest for 3 hours and bake it as is and you get some nice soft, puffed gingerbreads.

Haul: Bobbi Brown on-the-go travel set (Macy’s sale plus other discounts), just ordered from Charlotte Tilbury: the Pink Lip Set (gift from sister and brother in-law), the Blush/Lipstick set in Ecstasy and Stone Rose, and the Brow Lift. Bought Hourglass blush in Dim Light and Laura Mercier’s brightening eye powder with Sephora’s $25 off $50 discount. (Last week I bought the Wayne Goss Holiday Brush and brush #17.)

Weekend: My spouse and I are traveling home for the holidays, so we’re packing the cat up tonight for his ‘cat hotel ‘stay and we’re off on Sunday. Yah!

Last Movie I Saw: By the end of the evening it will be Return of the Jedi. Ha!

Happy holidays to every one! Hope 2016 brings good health and good times to you and yours.

KJH Avatar

Got the MUFE, and the winner is….Canyon. I guess I at least partially agree with Marlena née Stahl (MUG) who says that blush is better as contrast, than in coordination with your skin tone. Every time I think I’m warming into neutral, I put on Secret Admirer, and, where is it? Emperor’s new blush! Canyon is very natural, a bit warming; I get some red, even nudy brown behind it. Basically, it’s a muted pumpkin. It goes with everything from Lolita I & II to that MJ red, to OCC Anita, rusts, brown reds, puce. Good longevity. Haven’t tried it as e/s yet. Crystalline gray beige is fab, and goes with everything. Also picked Ash Plum. Like the trio colors more than the studio case ones. ‘Course, I research the Sh*! out of them. Now, I’m going to move down your swatches in order of quality to get my muted, drabbed down shades. Also scored a wireless printer that took from 7 A to 3 P to get functional. With input from HP, Apple, Comcast, and the course site. What a bloody nightmare and marathon. Horrid.
Plans: SSDW. Rounding the home stretch with the CEUs.
Love the lawn. You know I love the dog. And virtually all canines. Boy, was my dog’s nose out of joint at only one walk on my printer day. He kept throwing things, stamping in his water bowl, and leaping at things he wanted, and into my lap, when I alit for a second. Barked and huffed. He’s pretty spoiled, now that he’s an only child
Worked 2 jobs and took 2 online courses today, along with errands, etc. Not bad for an old fart.

Christine Avatar

I love all the Crystlaline _____ shades that Make Up For Ever has! I’m glad you found a great go-to blush – that is how Chanel Jersey and shades like it are for me. I feel like they go with nearly everything!

What kind of things would he throw?

Fran Avatar

Haul: Tom Ford Lips & Boys in Stavros, Egon, Theo, Joaquin, and Pablo finally arrived today, and they look so beautiful!
Weekend plans: marathon cookie-baking for holiday gift-giving — a trio of classic American cookies, each with a twist — chocolate chip cookies with dark chocolate chips and chopped pecans, oatmeal cookies with dried cherries and shredded coconut, and peanut butter cookies made with fresh-ground peanuts and chopped honey-roasted peanuts; going to try making sugarless oatmeal cookies with chopped walnuts for someone who has diabetes… that’s a lot of cookies!
Last movie I saw: I’m actually not sure which old movie we re-watched on TCM most recently, but we do want to go see the new Star Wars movie sometime this month, and I need to try to find “It’s a Wonderful Life” on on TV during the holidays… a Jimmy Stewart fan, I like to see that movie every year.

Fran Avatar

I wore Egon on Saturday and really liked it even though it’s a bit lighter than what I usually wear — the sheen of it made it work, I think. I rarely really like shimmery lipsticks on myself except for the TF Lips & Boys I’ve tried to so for (Rocco, Michael, and now Egon). I wore Pablo yesterday and loved it. The perfect amount of brightness for me. Somehow it looked more neutral than cool-toned on me (pinks do that sometimes — it seems like they look warmer next to the coolness of my undertone than they really are) — but that was fine. It also made me look like I had a bit of a tan, somehow. And both very comfortable to wear, which you for sure can’t always say about frosted or shimmery lipsticks! I would like to see if I can wear Stavros today — that one’s a bit more challenging to pull off. If I can’t figure out how I want to wear it today, then Joaquin or Theo 🙂

Fran Avatar

Christine, I really want to say thank you. I’ve now worn and loved all seven of the Lips & Boys lipsticks that I bought. (I took advantage of a neiman marcus $50 off $200 black Friday deal).) It’s only because of your meticulous reviews, photos, and swatches that I felt confident enough about choosing colors that would be flattering on me — without actually trying the lipsticks on — that I was willing to order them sight unseen. And it worked out perfectly! They are all flattering, easy to apply, and comfortable to wear. I’m very pleased!

Deidre Avatar

Haul: Some MAC x Ellie Goulding items and Mariah Carey ‘All I Want’ lipstick
Weekend plans: not too sure, but probably watching more episodes of Mr. Selfridge on Netflix. Just discovered the show this week thanks to a coworker and it is addictive
What was the last movie you saw?: watched ‘The Wedding Ringer’ last weekend at my parents house

Cat Avatar

Haul: I picked up Clinique’s “Days of the Week” lipstick set, a purple, acrylic, 18-slotted lipstick organizer to go along with the twelve-slotted one I already owned, three hairsprays, a shampoo, and a TIGI styling product (I think it’s called Superstar Queen for a Day).

Weekend plans: Wrapping gifts tomorrow and attending a Christmas party on Sunday.

What was the last movie you saw?: It was a documentary on asexuality. I’ll watch just about anything that pertains to human behavior so I can try to achieve a better understand the diversity which exists amongst humanity.

Cat Avatar

Yes, now if I can figure out a way to store palettes that keeps them accessible yet dust-free. I’ll figure something out that will work in the available space. I’m thinking, perhaps, of a wall unit… but who knows what I’ll end up with!

And, I just reread the post you responded to and realized how much I screwed up that last sentence! Egads! Somehow, I think you knew what I was trying to say even if I did leave two words out! =)
