1.Probably EVERYTHING I have tried by FAB (First Aid Beauty)!
2.Jack Black Lip Balm (been using mint, want to try other flavors!)
3. Waterproof Mascara & liners!
4. And because my skin doesn’t usually want to cooperate, foundation & concealer.
5. Nail Aid 3 Minute Artificials Gel, makes my polish last waaay beyond what I used to get: 7-12 days vs 3-5 days? Yeah.

1) Supergoop City Serum Sunscreen SPF 30 -pricey but cheaper than botox
2) Paula’s Choice Retinols
3) Marc Jacobs re (Marc) able Full Coverage Foundation
4) Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade – godsend for my thinning brows
5) Wet N Wild Fergie Take On the Day Eye Primer -without this, I wouldn’t be able to wear eye shadows, and that would make me very, very sad

Only five products in total? That’s too hard! Can I cheat and choose five in each category?? ; )

For me it’s probably all skincare-type things. I could live without makeup (begrudgingly) but not skincare! In no particular order:

– Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (I rarely use any other and always have one by my computer, one on my bedside table and one in my bag)
– La Roche Posay Anthelios Sunscreen (gotta have my sunscreen as I’m pale as a ghost)
– Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (the only decent acne treatment I’ve ever found for my once a month hormonal acne)
– Moisturizer in general. I have a very dry face so that’s a must-have. Current favorite is the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream “Intense Hydration” version
– The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Oil and the Chamomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover as my makeup removing duo of choice (yes that’s two things but picking one over the other would be like making my mom admit she has a favorite kid)

1. The Body Shop Wonderblur Primer
2. Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil for Combination/Oily skin
3. M.A.C (Everything)
4. Bioderma H2O Cleansing Solution
5. ColourPop is a new obsession

Mostly skincare. I don’t know what I’d do if lip balm had not been invented, my lips are hopeless without it. Moisturiser and sunblock also, in general. It’s as basic as it gets, but Cetaphil Moisturising Cream is HG for me (I use it on my face, Body Shop Body Butter on my body). Model in a Bottle Eyebrow Sealer, because it’s the only thing I’ve tried that really locks in the colour to my brows and holds the hairs all day. I don’t wear foundation every day, just once a week, but I always use and am thankful for concealer because it helps me not feel so bad about the occasional obnoxious pimple.

5. MAC Matte Lipstick in RUBY WOO ✴ Thankful for the lipstick that made me feel human again.
4. Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder ✴ Thankful for the best bronzer I’ve ever used.
3. Black Radiance Artisan Color Baked Blush in TOASTED ALMOND ✴ My cheeks are forever thankful.
2. Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation ✴ Thankful for its flawless coverage.
1. HIGHLIGHTERS! All of them! ✴ Thankful that I can ‘glow for the gawds’ all year long!

1- Cle de Peau Silky foundation- covers everything, minimizes pores, lasts all day even through heat & humidity, goes on with minimal fuss (I just use my fingers to apply), & looks like beautiful skin
2- Cle de Peau concealer- Expensive but 1 tube lasts 6 months for me, does not settle into my fine lines, stays put & lasts all day, easy application in stick format
3- Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm- A nightly must, the only thing that keeps my lips from being a chapped mess all year long.
4- Soap & Glory’s Righteous Butter – Apply this daily neck to toes, smells divine, non greasy, yet very moisturizing, really a treat to use.
5- Elizabeth Arden’s Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil – This is my HG pencil whether I’m doing a smoky eye, an Arab look, a feline flick, whatev’s. This pencil goes on beautifully & you have like 30 seconds to smudge it or let it set, & then it is there ALL day. No raccoon eyes, no transferring, it is on until you take it off. All the available colors are gorgeous. I’ve even used the espresso brown as an eye pencil in a pinch & it stayed put on my brows ALL day without smudging or wandering from where I put it. An oldie but a goodie.

1. Obagi Zo Brightenex : avail only through my dermatologist, a small tube lasts me about a year, super effective, reasonably priced and better than just prescription retinol.
2. IT Cosmetics CC in Light: finally a CC cream shade I can actually wear which also provides excellent coverage!!!!!
3. Burberry blush in Earthy: sheerish powder is foolproof and goes with absolutely everything
4. Tom Ford cream eye colours: these remain my perfect slap and go
5. Marc Jacobs gel eye pencils (before the dry-out disasters): The shimmer brightens my eye area so well and they wear like freaking iron.

The list would vary day to day, but right now:
1. Wayne Goss brushes
2. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD stick foundation (and generally how there are more and more colours of foundation available for my very fair end of the color spectrum)
4. Guerlain Meteorites
5. Hourglass highlighter in Incandescent light.

Rachel R. Avatar

1. Primers: Eyeshadow primer was seriously life-changing because of my hooded, super-oily eyelids. Foundation primer keeps liquid foundations from oxidizing on me.
2. BareMinerals anything, but especially the Original Foundation and Mineral Veil.
3. Physician’s Formula and Almay mascaras, because I’m not allergic to them.
4. NuSkin skincare. The line has been great for my aging facial skin. Their Epoch Sole Solution is the only thing to really works on my elbow eczema. It’s great for my super-dry feet as well.
5. Good purple eyeshadows, because they’re rare beasts. And they make my eyes look really green.

Skin Care:
1. Fresh Lip Treatments! I used to splurge on By Terry. I still love By Terry but Fresh is a close second.
2. Sunday Riley Luna Oil. I didn’t think it was all that the first time or two but now it’s essential.
3. Sunday Riley Good Genes, love at first use!
4. Fresh Black Tea Essence is a crucial step to adding more moisture to my routine without clogging.
5. PTR Unwrinkle Pads are perfect for heavy duty exfoliating without the irritation or dryness when used as directed. I’ve been using them off and on for years.

Color:
1. Bite Luminous Creme Lipstick
2. Bite Matte Lip Crayons
3. NARS RCC, it’s a little thick but it’s dependable and workable.
4. Stila Kitten Eyeshadow, cliche by now I know but it’s the perfect warm color for my cool skin.
5. Becca SSP in Pearl, is one of the best highlighters for pale folks who want a “natural glam” look.

I have a few other contenders I’m thankful for but I’d be here all day! Reading everyone else’s!

1. Serozinc spray – helps my spots calm down.
2. It Cosmetics CC cream in Light – a recent discovery for me in the UK, had to order from Beautylish.
3. Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in 01 and 02, best cheap concealer I’ve tried, always go back to this.
4. Any facial oil, they’re so soothing and my skin drinks them up! My current favourites are Oskia Restoration oil and Caudalie Divine oil.
5. Waterproof mascara and the Balm’s Take the Lid Off eyelid primer – a must for oily eyelids! My eyes are a smudgy mess otherwise if I wear eye makeup without these. I know that’s 6 but the last 2 are non-negotiable lol!
