Actually, everything I’ve heard on Specktra from MAC MAs who’ve tried these indicates these are not only gritty, they’re SUPER gritty. 🙁

Tunnel of Love – Deep Blue Brown? That one definitely sounds interesting. I want to definitely see what that one looks like on. Thanks for the info.

There was a video on the MACCosmetics YouTube channel about the new spring colors. I posted a video about it on my blog. It’s a gorgeously artistic video. I just love to watch the splash of colors.

Not sure if I’ll buy any since I think Dazzelglass are sparkley enough! I’m excited to see how it turns out though, especially the formula. Hopefully it isn’t gritty!

There is just something that lures me toward this collection…Could it be the excessive sparkle? (I love this line: “snowflake-shaped helicone pearls sparkling in three different facets for triple the dazzle! Lips have gone big bang, explosively dimensional, a rare eclipse!)

I can’t wait for all the swatches of all the Summer 2010 Collections, that could definitely help me decide ^_~

If these aren’t sticky then I’ll be very happy.. but the colours just don’t sound that amazing or different to any of the million dazzleglasses I have.

hmmm…more dazzle than dazzleglasses? i don’t know about this one. i HATE the stickiness of dazzleglasses. i hope the superglasses are not like that.

i got to see totally bang! at the mac counter in macys. its pretty but not a color id wear, it glided my hand really easily but was almost too glittery

These look awesome but I wonder if they will be the same size in volume as the Dazzleglass and Cremesheens. I won’t buy those anymore because of the high unit price.

Hmmm, I’m not really in “love” with these. It’s one of those products where I would get excited if I saw them, buy one, then never wear it…

Tunnel of love is pretty nice.

OMG! Superflash! is calling my name. I actually don’t own any Dazzleglass so this might be my first foray into ultra sparkle. I think these will be perfect for weekend outings.

I’m digging this new lipglass, I really hope it has the hexagon shape to it. I’m probably only going to get the purple and the hot pink 😛 But maybe not, I’ll have to swatch these before I make up my mind. I hope to god they are as good on the lips as they are in the tube.

May 6th or 7th? The 7th is a Friday… Regardless – Wooo! I’ve already pre-ordered two of each of these… Then I’ll decide if I need backups! LOL!

Christine – Have you gotten to try these at all yet? I have heard that they don’t look very stunning by themselves – They really require a liner or something underneath to make the glitter really pop.

Also Christine (or anyone else on here), I was wondering if you have an opinion on the Revlon Matte Lipsticks? I really want to try Pink Pout but I don’t know if it’s worth buying… It seems similar to Snob or Angel by MAC?

Passing – I guess I actually prefer to have the glitter/shimmer on eyes than my lips. If you have chapped lips – glitter is NOT your friend haha

I got to take a sneak peek at a MAC store the other day. They’re pretty interesting. I do think that they would look better layered over lipstick. What I thought was cool was that some glitter pieces may be large, but they “melt” on your lips.

I’m curious about these. I was perusing the specktra chat and the reaction seemed to be largely negative- many thought they were gritty and that the glitter had a tendency to “travel” (end up around the lip rather than on it).

On the other hand, I really like the effect of the Dazzleglasses and there are a few colours (Tunnel of Love, Fab Frenzy, Gift Wrap) that look just delicious.

I’m curious to hear others’ reactions if/ when they’ve gotten to try them. I know I’ll have to pick up one to try, at least… or two, or three…

My local MAC store had these on sale already and I was able to swatch and try them on. I didn’t buy any as the glitter was huge and I felt like a 5th grader. I personally did not like these but then again, I am not a huge fan of the dazzleglass either.

The colors are fabulous, but they have the consistency of Dazzleglass ( a little on the sticky side) and you can feel the glitter on your lips. Tried one on and it seeemed to stay on pretty well, the glitter did tend to travel toward the outer edge of your lipline though.

Sugar Overload, Superflash!, and Sweet Tart look gorgeous! I hope the swatches match the prettiness in these pictures!

Fab Frenzy looks interesting. Not sure if it would look good on me though. Maybe if it were a bit more sheer? I’ll make a decision on that one once I see a swatch.

AH! And I’m not supposed to buy lip gloss in 2010 =X Too bad you can’t back to mac for these! I want Cherry Electric, Fab Frenzy, Gift Wrap, Sugar Overload, Superflash!, Sweet Tart, and Totally Bang! Although Sweet Tart and Superflash! look very similar. I cannot wait to see these in person! Maybe I’ll find a new love aside from my Baby Sparks<3

although i like the look of dazzleglasses in the tube, swatched etc… i much prefer less sparkly glosses on my lips…all the same, after seeing the above pics i feel i will have to buy all of these…LOL…sigh…

I tried these on at my pro store the other day, and I couldn’t put my finger on why I didn’t love these (Dazzleglass is my crack). I realized that it’s because the sparkles are orange, green, and silver. The color combo is hideous!

This collection would be so much better had Mac individualized each sparkle color per shade. The darker ones are the nicest.

Christine! Okay so I’m supposed to be doing work but this was much more fun. The Superglass giveaway is still open but I totalled up which glosses got the most votes so far and here’s what I found (broken down into percent of votes per gloss):

Sweet Tart 21%
Gift Wrap 19%
Sugar Overload 12%
Superflash 11%
Totally Bang! 10%
Cherry Electric 9%
Disco Blend 8%
Fab Frenzy 7%
Tunnel of Love 3%

So according to the people entering this contest – Sweet Tart and Gift Wrap are by far the most popular glosses, while Tunnel of Love barely scraped together a dozen votes 🙁

If you’re interested (I’m mostly just avoiding my work – LOL) I’ll keep you posted and let you know if these numbers change at all come Thursday when the contest closes.

Final results! Not much changed though… Lots more votes… But they kept the same direction. Everybody loves Sweet Tart (personally if I had to pick the two I’m most excited about it would be Totally Bang! and Fab Frenzy – Though I LOOOOVE the name Cherry Electric):

I thought that too. I figured for sure the hot pinks and sparkly purple would be more popular. I’m glad that I took the time to tally these all up this way though – It was interesting to see 🙂

LOL… very interesting, although I’m also surprised that the softest colours seem to have been the ones people gravitated towards. I also think that it’s funny that the three I’m most interested in- Tunnel of Love, Fab Frenzy and Disco Blend- are at the very bottom (and in order of how I’d choose them- my favourite being dead last).

I just ordered these and am having them overnighted:) i had my parents each place orders too and they’re giving them to me so I’ll have all nine. i’m obsessed with all the glasses except for plushglass. the smell just wreaks…but i’m suuuuuuuuuuuuper excited to get my superglasses in the mail:) i love love love dazzleglasses and dazzle cremes so i know i’ll love these.

Just grabbed one (I behaved!) at MAC in ‘Totally Bang’! OMG, this gloss is awesome! More glittery than Dazzleglass but the intense fuschia grabbed me. Saving up to get Tunnel of Love and Fab Frenzy.

I picked up Cherry Electric and Tunnel of Love. Very surprised that they don’t seem gritty or overly sticky to me. I actually like them. Cherry Electric is absolutely gorgeous on its own. I also want to go back to grab Fab Frenzy!
