I’ve had my eye on this one… I’ve been super curious about the contouring duo… Any fair complected people tried them out? I’m wondering if the highlight powder would actually highlight on me, or just look like powder. For reference, I’m MAC NW10-13, NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc. I’m also curious to see your value breakdown, since I have absolutely no use for Laguna…at least they left out Orgasm?

Have the combo in Paloma. It is supposed to be a contour and highlighter. I use it as a highlight and a blush. For your reference I am MAC NW15 the highlighter is nice and not overpowering. I use the darker color more as a blush/face warmer upper. I love it, but I do not think the Paloma combo is going to work for anyone who is medium or darker.

I’m NW15 as well, it works great for me as contour. I use the creamy color to kind of neaten up the edges of my shadow near my temples and more or less set makeup in my t zone. It’s so light, as well as totally matte, it doesn’t really contribute much in highlighting the higher planes of my face. But I love it.

I’ve been using it for a week and love it! I actually find the texture to be much silkier than the blush/bronzer duo, and the two new blushers are quite pretty! If you don’t mind having another Laguna, I’d say it’s well worth it!

Hi. I happened to try this because I liked the packaging, didn’t own Laguana and a sucker for blushes/highlighters. I own only Nars lipsticks. It was nice, kinda hefty (if you like that) but the formulation wasn’t for me. Oh well.

Ugh that looks so nice. Really hope it gets a good reviews because I would love to add it to my collection! I have very little blush and it would certainly expand my color choices from my current taupe and light pink haha

The colours are so light/pale
I wonder when nars is coming with a cheek palette that suits darker skin granted I’m in to makeup sinds last year and that one was light as well. Was goning to skip it when I saw the promos….
Thanks for the swatches Christine!

I own a disgusting amount of audacious lipsticks but only a few other items from Nars. Actually maybe only 2 or 3….I’m interested in this palette pending the review.

Hmmm I was just thinking Luster would be an intetesting topper for a few of the shades in thebalm’s cream blush palette…I own it and use it fairly often but am blanking on the exact name…how bout those apples maybe? Something apple anyway lol Does anyone else see the potential or am I off track?! It’s been a loooong day, sorry zzzzzzzzz 🙂

Crazy, but I think I actually like this! Only problem may be that Paloma highlighter and Blasphemy blush, both look dusty and too pale for me, I think.

Nicola Avatar

Uh, I’ve got to look out for this one. I always wanted to get Dolce Vita and Luster and the Paloma Contour Duo. What I mostly love is that they didn’t include Orgasm and Albatross, everybody and their mama owns those ones by now! Same thing goes for Laguna, but at least we see a few newer shades that weren’t in every Nars palette 😀

Kat Avatar

Oh look — a big, fat Laguna. I’m not going to buy this just because it has Laguna in it. The other colors are excellent, but I’ve had just about enough of Laguna.

Gloria Avatar

I already own the palette, but I can’t wait for your review!!

I’m really happy with this palette! I think that the quality is up to par with what you would expect from NARS. For all the medium skintone girls out there ~~ I have medium (to light/medium in the winter) skin and I was able to use everything in the palette without any issues. I was worried the two new blushes (robotic & blasphemy) wouldn’t show up on my skin, but both are buildable and look great!
