We use to do the huge turkey dinner but there was a lot of left over that we never work through so it makes more sense to eat out. 😉
LOL, after too many turkey disasters ( blackened turkey, e. coli turkey, cardboard turkey ), my mom gave up and now just pre-orders a roasted turkey from the Chinese BBQ meat shops. They have the big commercial ovens to do roasted duck, so they do some great roasted turkeys. And sometimes they use 5 spice duck seasoning inside

Tragically, yes–the country in which I currently live has a faulty mail system and I won’t be back in the States until Christmas. On the plus side, that means I have a full year’s worth of beauty gifts waiting for me when I get home! Yay!
Haul: Stressful week = lots of shopping! (LOL)
Walgreens: Cover Girl x Star Wars – 5 of the 6 lipsticks (could not get Nude), 1 Dark side and 1 Light Side mascara. I think the lipsticks in lilac, red, and purple are pretty wearable.
Drugstore.com: Anna Sui rose blush in shade 300 and cuticle oil (with free rose hand cream). I have not tried the blush yet but I do think the cuticle oil works great and is not greasy. However, the rose scent is very strong and my cat tries to bite me if I use it and try to pet him. Sooooo – you know what we do for our fur babies!
NARS: Tearjerker, Dead of Summer, and A Woman’s Face. Ordered and shipped – tracking shows they are 15 minutes from my house but delivery indicates not until next Wednesday. 🙁
Neiman Marcus: Dior Huile Abricot Serum. The site says it’s new and that Dior is incorporating all of the properties of the beloved Creme Abricot into the mani products. This is my replacement for teh Sui oil that my cat hates – LOL! (Shipped but not received.)
Nordstrom: MAC Dark Side lipstick. Had to have this after seeing your post. (Shipped but not received.)
Saks: My 2nd Dolce & Gabbana Sophia Loren No. 1 lipstick. Truly my fav right now. (Shipped but not received.)

Weekend plans: Desperately needed 3 day weekend! No firm plans yet (other than my weekly mani) but the weather is supposed to be lovely. I may try to go shopping and pick up some fill in items for the Fall and Winter. Looking for basics like light-weight long sleeve shirts to wear under the ponchos I picked up and I’d really like to find a pair of grey booties (don’t have grey yet).
What are your favorite pizza toppings?: White sauce with spinach and mushrooms. YUM! (But I can’t eat regular pizza anymore. I have a super low carb pizza recipe where the crust is made with egg and mozzarella cheese. I make that when I feel like a splurge since it’s super high in fat.)

Thanks but sadly, not going to happen with my package. NARS sent my order FedEx Smart Post and not FedEx as their site states. So it arrived at the FedEx hub 15 minutes away yesterday. Via tracking, it took more than 24 hours to transfer the package, not to the post office, but to. the SmartPost hub. SmartPost has not transferred the package to USPS and states they won’t get to it today. They are 5 miles from my house and won’t let customers pick up their packages. So, because Monday is a Federal holiday, USPS won’t get my package until Tuesday and it will take them time to sort, meaning it misses Tuesday delivery. I’m tired just typing it all out! LOL. Anyway, I’ll just look at it as something to look forward to next week 🙂
In my babbling, I didn’t mention I paid for 2 day shipping. I think NARS is going to do the right thing and refund my money for shipping since SmartPost isn’t the 2 day shipping I paid $13 for.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read your haul Christine was “Oh no! CDP Holiday!”
Haul: I caved and got the LM sleek and Chic palette. But, to me it looks really close to the Eye Artist palette except a few shades. Overall, it leans a bit warmer. I think I’m not going to use it until it gets reviewed.
I also got the MUFE 15 Artist shadow palette, Becca’s Afterglow palette, TheBalm The Manizer Sisters Palette, Bobbi brown luxe lipcolor in Soft Berry, Plum Brandy, & Neutral Pink, and the Soko to Tokyo form the Sephora favorites sets. I got some nice deluxe sized GWP this week: I received a deluxe sized LSD Urban Decay 24/7 pencil. Love it! and a 500 point perk with Alterna products which is my fave shampoo and conditioner. They also have a 500 point perk of Bobbi Brown items that I added to my order with stuff for Chloe, my daughter. Oh, My Guerlain Holiday stuff arrived! I have the rouge G and the meteorites! Holy Moly- those Meteorites are the prettiest I have seen! I almost ordered a second. But, I had to stop myself! I do still have at least 1/2 the tin from last Christmas and $80 is a lot and I want stuff from all of these collections coming out and I have Christmas goodies for other people to buy too! That and MacXGuo Pei quad in Morning light came in one day and I was in HE makeup heaven. I had such a hard day that day with work and started getting this cold/sore throat. It was like the angels sent that to my doorstep that day, lol! I ordered a few other things. But, they aren’t here yet. I ordered the E. Lauder and E. Hurley lipstick set, K. Aucoin sculpt book II, and a mini set of PTR masks. I have been debating on the CP lipstick set all morning!
Weekend plans: I have a pretty bad cold and sore throat. I would like to do nothing at all. But, my makeup area is a mess with all this stuff I have been buying! I need to organize my stash and my closet. That’s a weekend chore there! Plus, I need to do regular weekend chores. Ugh. We will see what happens.

Haul: Nothing! But I’ve been window shopping at the Sephora website, I already have my basket full in preparation for the holiday sale in like a month! One of the scholarships I’m supposed to get hasn’t shown up in my records, not even as “anticipated aid,” and no one seems to be answering my questions, so I just hope I end up having SOME money by the time the sale rolls around, since I’ve bought very little since August. But my basket is overflowing with stuff I want to buy! I figure it’s the time to get everything that’s been lingering in my wishlist for a few months.
Weekend plans: Homework, sleep. My roommate went home for the weekend for her nephew’s birthday, so I’m hoping to take advantage of the extra space. I’m also going to be doing a lot of future-planning, since I’m adding a minor (in Writing and Rhetoric) and I have to contemplate whether to apply for a 5-year MBA program (I would be able to start my MBA while working on my bachelor’s, so I’d only have to do one year of graduate school to get it).

Omg, my haul this week has been insane! Space NK skincare beauty box (best one I’ve had), Charlotte Tilbury Matt Revolution lipstick in Love Liberty which I have mixed feelings about, it’s much browner than in your review and the photos online. Next time I’ll swatch in store, however I sort of like how dark it is, perfect for autumn and winter. I’ll just have to go on looking for the perfect cool red! I bought the Laura Mercier Eye Artist palette from Space NK while picking up my beauty box, it’s gorgeous! My beautiful MAC Guo Pei Night Sky arrived in the post, I’m spoilt for eyeshadows now! Also received my Birchbox UK box, it’s got a very pretty natural lipstick that I’m dying to try.
Plans for weekend: Going out on a date night with my fiancé, maybe see an arthouse movie. Taking our toddler to the play park.

What made you enjoy the SpaceNK skincare box so much, Claire?
Well, it has a deluxe sample of Sunday Riley’s Luna sleeping oil which I was so excited to try! I’ve tried retinol before but it didn’t suit my skin, however this is fine on my sensitive skin. And it works! There’s also deluxe samples of Eve Lom’s balm cleanser (1/3 size), Caudalie cleansing oil (1/2 size), Nude Progenius rescue oil, By Terry brightening serum, Sarah Chapman Skinesis serum (1/2 size), and Goldfaden MD Doctor’s scrub (1/2 size).

I got Night Sky in the mail this week, and I’m rocking a beautiful smoky blue eye today. The shadows are so high quality and easy to use, it only took me 5 minutes to do it! $70, but no regrets!
Ooh, sounds divine! I thought I’d been going out on a date with my fiancé but we’ve not been able to get a babysitter so it didn’t happen. I’ll have to find some other excuse to rock a smoky blue eye to try the palette out this week!
Haul: I bought a slightly used MAC By Candlelight MSF and Tarte blush in Tipsy. It got them from a makeup buy/sell FB group I’m in. The Tarte blush was only $11!
Weekend plans: A friend is visiting NYC, so we went to 2 museums this week. Tomorrow we want to tackle a third. I also want to edit some photos and write up some blog posts.

What are your favorite pizza toppings?: I like either classic Margherita (a light but bit spicy tomato-based sauce, a scattering of Bocconcini cheese, fresh Basil) or “Hawaiian” (which was invented in Canada…).
Margherita pizza is so good — it’s refreshing in its simplicity!
I used to go to this place when I lived in the Bay Area that was near the CalTrain station in San Francisco that had one of the best Margherita pizzas. Proper crust too!
Haul: Earlier this week I placed an order for the Bite Remix set and several perfumes from Sephora.
Weekend: I had a lot planned but my foot and toes got mangled yesterday night and I have no idea what I’ll be up to because of it. They hurt so bad I didn’t sleep at all last night.

Makeup isn’t in my budget these days, but I splurged on the La Roche Posay SPF 50 Anthelios Mineral Ultra-Fluid Tinted Lotion. The tint works well with my complexion and this would be my HG sunscreen if it contained ZnO as well.
